Extra sac at dating scan

I had my dating scan today and was not only a measuring a week small (6 weeks instead of 7) there was also a second lot of 'fluid'.
The first sac was symmetrical and had a visible foetal pole with a heartbeat while the second was irregular shaped and had no visible pole. The dr wants to look again in a week or so but suspects that it's either an implantation bleed or blighted ovum.
Has anyone had anything similar and did it turn out to be a single pregnancy or a twin one?
