How far along are you? 25+6 Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? My belly button is a completely out hahaha Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope not for a few weeks Rants/raves/Questions? Not really- just need to get hospital tours planned GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? Going outside! lol I live in Phoenix soon it should finally drop to double digits for the first time in months
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Nothing new, same old heartburn, acid reflux, pain while sleeping and peeing a ton LOL.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I have an appointment on Friday.
Rants/raves/Questions? Rant: I mentioned this on another board, but I'm just pissed my SO had to switch to working midnights (12 hour shifts, 5 days/week) for the next 4 months. So basically, I'll be a single mom of twins when they are born. My mom plans to help during the day, but maybe we'll need to think about getting a night nanny or something. Rave: My babies are healthy! No questions right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? Cider mills - apple cider and donuts!
@balletnerd I'm glad your temps will be live-able soon! Lol. @clovelyone Ugh, I'm so sorry about your DH's work situation. That sucks.
How far along are you? 24+3
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? The mood swings have started. I had one Thursday night and last night I was super grumpy but kept it mostly in check.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I had one on the 6th. Nothing new to report really, but I got my flu shot out of the way. Also the first flu shot I've ever gotten in my life.
Rants/raves/Questions? Rant: I either want to eat salad or super unhealthy things. No in between. Also I'm a little stressed about health insurance/choosing a pediatrician because DH's open enrollment isn't until November and his insurance will be changing... We're assuming we'll go with his insurance but obviously we can't say for sure at this point... Rave: Donuts at work this morning annnd high temps in the 70s forecasted for the next 9 days or something!
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? Everything? Lol. Actual activity, I'd probably say pumpkin patch. We live close to the Roloff farm, for those of you who ever watched Little People, Big World on TLC and we went last year and it was awesome. We will be going back this year! We also live near where Halloweentown was filmed and that town puts on Halloweentown every year and this year we're planning on going the day some of the cast members are there!
How far along are you? 27 weeks, 6 days. Helloooo third tri!
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? back pain and discomfort when trying to fall asleep.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Last week I had a check-in and did my 1 hour glucose test which I failed However I went in over the weekend for the 3 hour test and everything came back fine. I think I may have had too big of a lunch the day of my 1 hour. Kind of crazy now that my appts are going to be every 2 weeks!
Rants/raves/Questions i guess just a general rant I've been feeling lately is that I hate feeling like a naive FTM, but hate even more when other moms make me feel stupid. SIL chopping up my registry and telling me to get higher-end items when I'm completely fine with the well-rated more affordable items, other SIL criticizing my maternity leave schedule which I created myself (it's shorter than normal but that's what works for me and DH), and other people constantly using the cliche comments like I'll never sleep/relax again. I'm a pretty fun, carefree person, and it seems like everyone is coming out of the woodwork lately to tell me that parenting is hard. I never thought it would be a piece of cake, so I can't help but to feel like a toddler when someone tells me that. It's annoying.
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? oh god, everything. I live in New England so fall is just epic here. Apple picking, cider doughnuts, pumpkin carving, annual visit to Salem MA, horror movies, Halloween, chilly mornings. It's the best. Fall is everything.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Nah, same old acid reflux, etc. BUT babies are kicking up a STORM in there! I love it so much.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I had 2 Appts yesterday - one with my OB, who says my weight is right on track, as is my blood pressure. Then I had a growth US, and am happy to report that both babies are doing great!
Rants/raves/Questions? Super excited that my new house is officially underway with the remodel. I love having everything ripped out so I have a blank canvas. It's going to be amazing when it's finished - hopefully that won't be longer than mid-October.
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? The pumpkin patch! Decorating for Halloween! Trick or treaters!!
@clovelyone sorry your husband has a new, grueling work schedule! Is going to b so tough with twins, but you'll figure it out. Hugs lady @MJDsquared omg I have noticed a severe attitude in myself lately and I've been struggling to keep it in check. I have ZERO patience with idiots and slow people these days lol. Also, at least you want to eat healthy things sometimes. When I'm not pregnant, I eat soooooo well most of the time, and now, it's a STRUGGLE to eat a freaking salad. I feel so bad! I've been trying to drink more green juice to help get those vitamins for the babies. @peachy13 OMFG I am so sick of people's unsolicited opinions. Everyone coming at you at once with how hard it's going to be, or how you'll never sleep, or have you done this or this...OMFG if it were that bad, no one would have kids ok?! Chill. We all know is going to be hard! Sorry your SIL is being a brat about your registry. I don't know why she would care what you want. Also, it gives your guests a good range of prices to get you gifts - win/win in my opinion!
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Slightly worsening back pain and I'm much quicker to hit the exhaustion point (falling asleep on the couch before 8pm again, just like in the 1st tri).
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Last week's check-up (all good news) and 1-hour glucose test (I passed, thank god), plus rhogam and tdap shots. BTW, I'm peeved at all the STM's who warned me about the horrific glucose drink (I gagged through the whole thing) but said not one word about the rhogam shot having to be given ON MY ASS. Uncool surprise.
Rants/raves/Questions? DH still hasn't really felt the baby move, which is a bummer. OB said my placenta is front and center and muffling most movements, plus DH is kind of impatient and doesn't want to "hurt" the baby (I keep telling him if he presses down on the top of my belly he'll definitely feel protest punches.) I'm just worried since this will likely be our only child, I don't want him to miss out!
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? Apple picking and apple cider donuts, picking out pumpkins and decorating the house, Halloween movie marathons, and dressing up to give out candy (we never go to parties, but I always insist on costumes!)
@MJDsquared Flu shot coming soon to this body, as well. Hope your first experience was okay and your arm isn't too sore. Also, fx that your insurance situation works itself out easily, you certainly won't need that added stress with a new baby. @peachy13 Glad you passed your 3-hour! And I totally feel you on all the unsolicited advice, it really does feel condescending at times. I want to make a shirt to wear every single day that says "YES, I KNOW I'M NOT GOING TO SLEEP ONCE HE'S BORN." @breezybee So jealous of your "blank canvas"! I'm ready to start knocking down walls in my own place, I'm so irritated with our lack of space. It was great as a starter house, but trying to squish a nursery in is proving to be a nightmare.
@djd0404 The Rhogam shot is in your ass?! Well, I'm getting that at my next appointment, so I'm glad to know that! Does it hurt to sit afterwards...? Hahaha.
@MJDsquared That's what they told me, and that's where I got it. I have to admit, it didn't hurt at all. The tdap in my arm was way worse. Only my ego was bruised.
@balletnerd Thank god for cooler temps! I couldn’t imagine
living in that kind of heat.
@clovelyone That sounds like it will be really tough. I hope
you can figure something out that will work for you! Is he taking any time off
after the babies are born?
@MJDsquared I will be getting my first flu shot ever also.
Strangely enough my OB office doesn’t do shots so I have to go a CVS clinic or
somewhere to get my flu and tdap shots. The rhogam shot didn’t hurt me at all.
They asked what side I slept on so they could put it on the other side, but it
never ended up hurting.
@peachy13 I really hate when people give me unsolicited
advice.
@breezybee I’m jealous of your new house, haha. I have no
idea what it looks like obviously but I am dying to get a different house.
There is nothing wrong with ours, I’m just over the layout and would like my
forever home now!
@djd0404 I also had to get (another) rhogam shot, at least I
knew this time it was on my ass!
How far along are you? 28+4
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Pretty consistent back and hip pain these days. If I sit a certain way too long I can hardly walk when I stand up. So that's fun.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Good! There was glucose in my urin, but they said it was from having cereal for breakfast. I passed 2 1-hour GD tests already.
Rants/raves/Questions? No questions at the moment! I am super excited for my baby shower at the end of the month!

Rants/raves/Questions? Rave- 100 days until my due date! I can't believe I'm nearing the end of the second trimester- this is getting real! Another rave- just found out we may be moving to New England (CT) in early 2019 (DH already got a job offer). I'm so ready to get out of Texas and to settle down somewhere (with seasons!) and plant roots. MIL is finally starting to come to terms with the fact that we'll be moving to either the NE or Colorado and that we have no desire to stay in Texas long-term.
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? Ugh, I live in Texas, so fall weather feels forever away. I don't even think there are any places to go apple picking or pumpkin patches near me. I did put out my Fall decorations last weekend (earlier than usual), so that's exciting. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons, so I can't wait! As far as favorite fall activity, does eating all the food at Thanksgiving count?! @peachy13 I'm so jealous of your NE fall weather- you're living my dream! @djd0404 Thanks for the heads-up about the Rhogam shot. I have to get mine in a few weeks, and I had no idea!
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? First time checking in but it changes day by day. Lately just round ligament and kidney issues
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? just got done. It went bad. I got put on diabetes meds and increase in others. I feel defeated.
Rants/raves/Questions? Anybody had any bad side effects or things i should look out for with glyburide?
GTKY: What is your favorite Fall activity? I like thanksgiving food and bonfires but i wont be able to partake in either this year :-( they will induce me beforehand
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? With @ktcakes87 on the obnoxious pelvic/hip pain which suddenly appeared. I won't realize I sat weird and then I stand up and have a moment of panic thinking the baby is about to fall out. If I bend forward a certain way sometimes, I also feel my tailbone(?) pop. I also realized my reflux was because of the sparkling water I've been drinking... RIP LaCroix addiction.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Just a quick check, but I LOVED the doc I saw that day! Kind of hope she's the one on call when I deliver. I also attended a breastfeeding class my OB office held, and learned a lot. I'm honestly indifferent about BFing (not that it isn't important, but just that I don't have strong convictions about it and don't feel like the kind of person who would be all torn up if I couldn't for some reason) but it did make me feel more prepared.
