  • 1)Introductions: Tell us about yourself FTM STM?
    I'm 37 and the mom to a sweet 3.5 y/o girl.

    2) Any upcoming appointments?
Ultrasound 9/14 I'll be 6w5d (we did fertility treatment this time around, hence the early ultrasound)

    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?
I've had nausea and tender breasts, which isn't different from the 1st time around. I've already started in on napping due to 1st tri exhaustion.

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall?
I always look forward to a salted caramel mocha and pumpkin cream cheese muffin from Starbucks. That's when I know it's fall

  • @justsuzie thanks! I really won't be relieved until I hear a heartbeat. I started off this pregnancy thinking I had started my period and bled for a week straight. I keep having random brown spotting, so you're not alone, but I totally understand your concern with your losses. Fingers crossed all continues to go well for you

We will get through it together. I just hate when they say, "yah spotting is normal". I won't feel good until I see a healthy baby.
  • 1)Introductions: Tell us about yourself FTM STM?
36... I'll be 37 in 2 months. STM, D14 daughter... she's crazy and keeps me on my toes.
    2) Any upcoming appointments?
9/11 for bloodwork...I don't think I'll have an ultrasound, but not positive.
    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?
Tired all the time. Peeing more than usual. If history repeats, I'm one of those annoying women who don't really suffer from morning sickness or other bad pregnancy side effects. We'll see what happens this time around.

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall?
I love all things pumpkin... and sweater weather.
  • 1)  I was 35 when my 9MO daughter was born, and I'll be 36 when this one is born (FX).

    2)  I haven't made any appointments yet.  I think I know what hospital I want to use, and it's a ferry ride away, so I may not even worry about it until the second trimester.  I'll probably just have my GP send me for blood tests and an ultrasound.  Then again, maybe I should get all those trisomy tests and everything... sigh.

    3)  I'm doing okay.  Tired, but I seem to be handling it okay for the past however long it's been since the hormones started going, maybe five days?

    4)  I love frost.  I love it when the dirt expands as it freezes and crunches when I walk on it.  I love the pretty rimed leaves.  Unfortunately, we don't get much of that in the Kitsap Peninsula.  I also love the way the shadows get long at dusk.  That tells me it's Autumn more than anything else.

  • 1)Introductions: Tell us about yourself FTM STM?  I'm 35, TTM I have 3 yo twin girls

    2) Any upcoming appointments?  Not until Oct 12  :(

    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?  Not too bad, really sore/swollen boobs, a little bit of the nausea, hungry-but-nothing-sounds-good feeling, and a little bit more tired than usual.

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall?
I'm with @SLC1102, definitely the sweater weather, and seeing the leaves change color.  And football!

  • @SLC1102 I love pumpkin pie so much it hurts.

@FrancisD. So poetic. Unfortunately I'm the opposite.  I am a summer lover and can't bear the cold.

@sandbar517 I do like sweaters but I always look frumpy in them.
  • @sparkymcgeee Ugh, I don't feel old which is even worse being considered AMA....it's like a slap int he face, saying, yah, you're old, deal with it!
  • Can I count? I turn 35 the month after this one will hopefully be born....
  • The more teh merrier @Pearlvirus
  • @zaclina Welcome!  I have had both amazing and horrendous experiences with those in the medical field! Good luck finding a DR
  • My last baby they insisted on a due date that was wrong by 4 weeks based on LMP. All the way up to the dating scan I was like, no I am only 9 weeks, not 13... yup measured 9w1d. Imagine how upsetting that would be if I didn't track everything?!?
  • @glitzandglitter The ferry runs 3/4 of the day, and driving the long way around only takes ten minutes longer.  Last time, I just paced around the ferry moaning for an hour.  I was in labor a little longer than 24 hours, so I don't think I'll have any problems again this time.

I will be 36 at the end of this month and we've been trying for #1 for 2 years. (TW - history of losses.)

    2) Any upcoming appointments?
I have my second ultrasound next Tuesday. Since we were NTNP (*TW*) after a loss, I don't know the timing of this cycle. My beta last week showed I was ready for an ultrasound and I was dated at 5w5d on 9/5. (Luckily they also have an ultrasound from a previous follow-up appointment that shows I most likely ovulated a few days before and that date corresponds with the measurement).

    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?
(TW - Sorry for all the triggers! It's on my mind.) I've never heard a HB or made it past 7 weeks, so I'm really worried about my next appointment which should put me roughly at 6w5d. Other than that, I'm trying to take comfort in the symptoms I have (fatigue, bloating, nausea) and ignoring the bad (mild cramps, brown spotting).

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall?
It's not an activity, but I'm happy as soon as it's under 100. I love the cool night air (which we won't get here for a while yet). I'm looking forward to soup weather!

  • Hey lovely ladies.

1)Introductions: Tell us about yourself FTM STM? I'm 34, just turned in August. But someone invited me- I swear! Third time mom, This is my first pregnancy with my boyfriend. We've been together for three years and had decided to try to get pregnant since it is the most important thing at my age.

    2) Any upcoming appointments? 8 week appointment.

    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes? I don't feel pregnant. I've taken two tests- both positive. But no real symptoms.

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall? Stews, football and my jeans (while not an activity it's a reminder).
  • Hi all! Just joined the board.

    1) Intro: I'm 35 (36 when I give birth) and a STM. I have a sweet 2.5 year old girl and am a SAHM.

    2) Appts: 9/26 - They were totally willing to do earlier, but I just don't relish adding extra doc appointments during the (very brief) time in which my daughter in is in preschool. And I couldn't even get my regular doc because apparently she doesn't work the 2 mornings I am free. Super annoying, but we'll see how it goes.

    3) Feeling pretty normal, just a little tired. I keep waking up in the night to pee!

    4) GTKY: Chili makes it feel like fall! And apple/pumpkin doughnuts! Yum.

  • @desertdweller-2 I am a multiple loss FTM as well.  We have never had a good viability scan.  I get how you feel.

  • 1)Introductions: Tell us about yourself FTM STM?
This will be our third and final.
    2) Any upcoming appointments?
Haven't called to schedule yet. I'm just basking in it being dh and my thing until next week.
    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?
sooo tired. My only concern is for a sticky baby. *tw last month we had a loss

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall?
Pumpkin flavored everything! Football food. Loving the cooler weather most of all. I love summer, but there is something amazing about the season changes!

  • Hi all! I'm 35, will be 36 when this baby is born. This will by our 5th baby. We have 3 girls 8,5,3 and one boy (20 months)
Our first appointment in on October 5th. My old doctor is retiring, so this will be with a new practice.
No gripes, I'm just so happy to be pregnant and I hope this baby is sticky!
It's getting nice and cool here and it's definitely feeling like fall!
  • @knottie6c218d62d58f3375 - I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you or not but you should consider changing your name to something other than knottie followed by random numbers and letters. It would make you easier to tag and set you apart from all the other knotties with a bunch of numbers.

I changed it yesterday but it isn't registering I guess?

    STM

    2) Any upcoming appointments?

Monday, I'm going on a tour of the hospital I want, and then meeting with a nurse to input my condition and history so that they can determine whether I'm qualified to use a midwife.

    3) How are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?

I'm still surprised at how often I need to pee!

    4) gtky: What activity or food really makes you feel like yep, it really is fall?

It may seem 'basic' but I love pumpkin spice everything! I especially love pumpkin pie with a thick crust and strudel topping.
