The kids had good time riding a trolley in the neighboring town and hanging with their dad at the park. Cam now has his 3rd tooth and is super close to walking. The girls start preschool on the 5th.
ETA: Cam took 3 steps at my parents today while I was at work! My mom said he probably would have kept going if he hadn't realized he wasn't holding on to anything. I am so happy the walking is around the bend!
Damien is much better at standing unassisted the past couple of days and he took his first unassisted step last night (just 1, then he lost his balance). His babbles continue to gain in complexity but still no true words. I'm not worried though since his understanding of what's being said seems to be very good at this point. He continues to clear out his drawers and crawl into them and he's taken quite a shine to my big floppy beach hat (he loves to scurry around with it on but I'm not convinced that he can truly see while wearing it). His favorite item is his stuffed bunny. He goes bananas when he sees it, loves to take it everywhere with him, etc.
Same old, same old up to no good this week for Miles. He's still a snotty mess at night, which is waking him up occasionally and then he freaks out because he can't breathe. Fine kid, fair enough. Teeth 7 & 8 are slowly on the way up and Miles put them to good use with some corn on the cob. Got some cat ears from the vet which were apparently hilarious.

She loves her new backpack and wouldn't take it off all day haha- we went and bought diapers, wipes and formula to send down to a Texas and I snapped a picture to show her one day. She is babbling a lot, running around and starting to throw tantrums. Teething is AWFUL and she has having some slee regression. It's been a long week!!!
Jackie is now 14 months. She's able to follow simple instructions, which makes cleaning up toys much more fun for all involved. In fact the other day I was putting away dishes and she started putting the bread pans I let her play with back in the cabinet. She also loves petting the dog, although the dog usually looks less than pleased.
Here she is running amuck with a pair of clean underwear and her favorite dog toy, the stuffingless squirrel.

We were home Monday due to Tristan running a high fever over the weekend. He is completely enamored with light switches, going outside and the Law & Order SVU theme music. He is generally not into TV, but loves that darn music! Over the weekend he started to use the one baby sign that we have consistently used with him, "all done" when he wants to be done eating, or out of whatever he is in. He will verbalize as well and for the most part it sounds right, so a win there. Super clingy lately, but it is corresponding with a leap/fussy phase so I am trying to be patient and do stuff with one hand.
Ethan is almost 15 months and is getting pretty good at "running". Lol. It's hilarious to watch because his legs are still pretty stiff. He's started mimicking my mom when she tells the dogs to "sit down" but it sounds like he's saying "god damn". Hahaha . We went to the San Diego zoo yesterday and it was suuuuper hot. We rode the sky ride which I hate.
Lily loves to sit in her bean bag chair and pull toys out of her organizer. lily got to enjoy a mozerella stick from sonic and she pulled all the breading off and ate it first then the cheese. shopping at sams club with her new shades. I couldn't get over how long she left them on even once we were inside a while. Silly girl. She has 9 teeth and we are working on molar number 2
@egirl1025 My oldest, now four, loved the theme song to L&O: SVU when he was little! He would stop whatever he was doing just to watch that part.
No great pictures this week, but Ollie took his first steps, and Henry now says nine words/phrases. They're both getting more teeth, and we're back on track with sleep after readjusting from our vacation.
