Reflux Check In

How are the reflux babies?

My girl is 3 months and I was hoping she'd have outgrown it by now but it's still going strong. I think we need to up her meds to correspond with her increased weight.

Re: Reflux Check In

  • We just upped meds, too.

  • My little girl definitely has reflux, goes through several outfits and a half dozen+ bibs per day. She spits up multiple times per feeding, sometimes projectile... doesn't matter how much she has eaten or how long it's been since the last feeding, just tons of spit up. Our pediatrician said that as long as she is happy and gaining weight there isn't a reason to medicate... but she has dropped now from 54th weight percentile all the way down to the 30th, so she is gaining weight but very poorly. It is my first baby so its tough to say if she is more fussy than typical.

We have an appointment next week to discuss the possibility of medicating due to poor weight gain. We mostly pump, so she only takes in breast milk but I can say she does eat 30 ounces or so per day, which seems to be typical. I know the poor weight gain is because of all the milk she isn't holding down... starting to get stressed about it :(
