This dude at work is being a total TW. He asks me to do something, I do it, and he comes back with something else to do for the same thing. So annoying to have to go back in and make changes piece meal. And he asks me stupid questions that he could easily find the answer to his dang self. Keeping it chill though - gotta keep my BP down since work stress was an issue for me during my first pregnancy...checked it at 120/84 last night!
Yes, coworker, even though we make a living by charging for our work product, by all means, keep giving it away for free. I'm about to lose my mind over this. Whyyyyyyyy?????

HA! Must be coworker TW Tuesday... this bish... comes into MY office with the new girl she's training and starts to argue with me about our debit card fraud dispute process. (I am the Regulation E expert at our bank. I've been doing this for almost 3 years now, have taken a ish ton of training and studied my ass off to know the rules.) But nooo... TW coworker comes in and not respectfully, but argumentatively challenges the freakin' LAWS OF THE BANKING WORLD. Okay.. no. I wanted to throat punch her so bad. I told the new girl as they were walking away that if she has any questions about fraud or Reg E, to come ask me, not her. She snickered. Byeeee Felicia. Go back to answering your phone, I will handle the Reg E, please and thank you.
Aetna is a major TW. They can't seem to do the simplest of things without me having to call and raise hell. I hate it. I hate talking on the phone, especially with people who are not smart and don't give a poop about their jobs.
@HappyMonkey817 I totally feel you on the Aetna thing - DD had to have dental surgery this past March and she was put under sedation. I had to pay for the sedation up front and then be reimbursed from the insurance company (who actually ended up reimbursing the anesthesiologist who in turn had to reimburse me, but that's a whole different story) and the girl I was talking to was NOT making sense, it sounded like she had a script in front of her and any questions I asked her that were not on her script she just kept repeating herself. I could not get a straight answer out of her. I called back that same day and talked to someone else and she was able to actually explain things to me
Me. Today is DS's second birthday and between being sick all last week and yesterday, I have no plans for a special dinner or a cake or anything wrapped. I know he's two and he doesn't know that I'm screwing this up but I do.
My boss. He doesn't believe that our baby is a boy, despite the XY chromosomes found. He says we didn't "do all things you have to do" to have a boy. Supposedly he and his wife only had a boy after he got in the best shape of his life and they changed their bedroom habits. He has also told me that the name we chose will cause our child to be made fun of his entire life. WTF? It's not a weird name and he's just a plain old idiot.
@mdfarmchick, your 2 year old will not remember. I promise! But I understand feeling badly about it. So why don't you make a point of doing something special this weekend? Hopefully you're feeling a bit better and can do something special. Even if it's just a store-bought cupcake!
@mdfarmchick Happy birthday to YS! Could you celebrate on another day when you're feeling more up to it since he won't know any better anyway, or is that too much pressure?
@skppks Whaaaaat? That's inappropriate on at least 3 or 4 different levels. Ew.

Because no obese or out of shape or average person ever has had a boy in the history of the world? What a weirdo. And super inappropriate, especially mentioning "bedroom habits." GTFO with that!

I get why you're feeling bad about it. But I agree with the other replies- he won't mind if you don't do anything special. Do you remember turning two? He'll be just fine. Try to go easy on yourself.
@skppks Um WOW your boss sounds like a delight. Sorry he's being a jerk, and yeah definitely wrong - we found out today we're having a boy and neither my husband nor I are in the best shape of our lives. And I hate how people think giving their (sh*tty) opinions on the names people chose is appropriate/a good idea/remotely kind/etc. This is why I'm scared to tell randos or non-family/close friends bc I don't want to hear your judgment!

Today is DD's first birthday! HB to him (ETA: your DS) ! Also don't feel bad, today DD was set up for her 48 hour EEG so her head is covered in electrodes that are covered by some type of wrap and crazy hat connected to wires that is connected to a power pack and DH has to be within like 2 feet of her at all times. So that's how she is spending her birthday...

@mdfarmchick and @becausescience today is my DD's 4th birthday -- crazy!! A very happy birthday to your two!
We did DD's party this past weekend because her first day of preschool was today (BIG day!), and I had to work at school and then coach through the evening. DH held off on dinner for everyone so I could hurry home, and we dined on McDonald's...DD's pick Sometimes just being together on their birthdays is the best when they're little!
Went in for a UA to check for a UTI (cloudy urine and burning), nurse said, "yep, you've got something going on! Let me chat with the on call and let you know the plan." Calls back, "he says it's not enough to treat yet so to keep an eye on it and if symptoms worsen let us know."
Wait....... what? So I just let it go to possibly worsen? Not good for my PGAL brain.

@chasingroygbiv I say your just got worse they need to do better seriously. Those are classic UTI symptoms. What to they want, you dehydrated and febrile?! I hope you get relief soon.
AFM, I know someone might blow me up with that fabulous beating a dead horse GIF. But, Harvey. Hurricane Harvey= supreme TW. All I wanted was a regular ob/gyn visit and a simple gender reveal shindig this week. But nah. On top of Harvey postponing my grandfather's funeral until who knows when. I hate him and want him gone.
@becausescience I'm sorry you all are having to spend her birthday that way! My daughter had to have a 24 hour eeg when she was around 4 months old and it sucked. 48 hours sounds rough. I hope you guys get good results out of it at least!
MH saved the day... he came home with a cake from the bakery around the corner, wrapped one present and put his scooter together and went out to pick up McDonald's for the birthday boy. So it wasn't a complete miss.
Happy Belated Birthday to YD @becausescience! I'm sorry that's how she gets to spend her birthday but I hope everything goes well!
@LiveNLove44 you are so right! Happy Belated Birthday to YD too! MS loves McDonald's too.
@cford08 Harvey is a total TW. I'm in tears watching the coverage but I can't look away from Texas. I wish I could do more. Sending love and prayers.
@chasingroygbiv I would think they would want to avoid it getting worse. I'd call back and ask for a second opinion. That's ridiculous.

My coworker who said to me yesterday while staring at my 10 week bloat "Ooh! Looks like someone's trying to hide something"
My fat?! Yes. Thank you. I AM trying to hide the 40lbs I've gained between my *TW* last 2 pregnancies and miscarriages. *End TW*
Thanks a lot, you twatwaffle!!
