Double Strollers

ok I see the stroller thread but thought it might be useful to start a double stroller thread too! For those of you with experience I need advice on a double stroller- I know I want a jogger for sure but any opinions on side by side vs regular? I can imagine that taking a side by side through doors would be next to impossible. My other son is going to be 18 mos when his brother arrives. I also already have a chicco infant car seat but they don't even make doubles so is there a brand that will fit my car seat? I know they also have converters but not sure how that goes. So many questions, help!

So I don't have experience but there is a Chico double stroller that fits a car seat. It has the stand/ sit down for older child. I won one of these at an expo that I then sold. It's not a jogging stroller tho. It's the Chico bravo stroller. Sadly chicco isn't big on jogging strollers

Yes, I have seen many people struggle with side by sides in stores like Starbucks. But for jogging I'd think you'd have to go that route.

I have a double BOB. It's side by side and great for jogging. It's a tight squeeze and you need to angle is perfectly straight, but I have never encountered a door that didn't fit the BOB - stores, Dunkin', etc. The width has never been an issue

We got a Double Bob. I love my single Bob. The new Thule jogger is supposed to be as good, but a little skinner.

I've been looking at the BabyJogger Summit X3, but it is so expensive! I don't intend to use the stroller for anything but jogging, so I haven't been looking at width, more looking at durability and child size. DS2 who will be in it with the new baby is a big kid, so I need something that will hold up. I've looked at the BOB's, but the reviews said the kids tend to lean towards the middle, particularly with bigger kids.

We just have a baby trend double and it serves us well--we run 3-6miles with it 3-4 days a week on dirt or pavement with 70lbs between the two girls. I've used it in and out of doorways and I've always gotten it through. 

We we have a sit n stand as well that I use more for shopping and such. This has a car seat adapter so I'll use it for the baby. 

Since i I will have 3 kiddos now I think I'll buy a single jogger again in the spring and only 1 kid will go running with me and 2 with DH. The LO can't go running until the end of May/June anyway due to age restrictions.

I love our Baby Jogger City Mini. It's light and folds easy which was important because I'm solo with DD so often. 

Im embarrassed to admit that our 4 yo still uses the stroller a lot - zoo, fairs, etc. she's lazy and sometimes it's just easier for us. It did come in handy when we traveled to Disney this past winter- she napped in the stroller so we didn't have to go back to the hotel or deal with a crabby kid. So I was torn on in if we needed a double. I ended up getting the Graco Roomfor2 on sale on Amazon that somebody had posted awhile ago. It's basically a sit and a stand. My oldest won't be able to nap but she should be out of that stage soon anyways.
