Its football season, yay!! Back out at high school football games on Friday nights. Neither of the local colleges have football teams, so we stick up for our blue & gray. Miles loved the game, as well as dinner beforehand, even if it doesn't look like it. That's just how he sits in any seat that he knows he can't fall out of, lounging all the way back
Me: 32 DH: 31 *The old lady by 5 whole weeks* Married: 11/2013 M: 6/2016 E: 5/2018
Damien is testing the waters of standing unassisted, he can do it for a few seconds before grabbing onto something. He's a speed demon with his push walker but hasn't taken unassisted steps yet. He hasn't said is first word yet either, just some false alarms. Babbles a ton though and his babbles are becoming more and more complex. He's really testing his vocal muscles.
I finally cleaned out our spare room so that Jack could have a playroom. He LOVES it and so do I. I just need to do a little decorating (and maybe painting). He is walking everywhere but no real words yet He's in the process of getting 4 molars at once so life has been a little rough!
Last week we went to check out an indoor playground and Ethan had a blast! He's getting his molars in so that's been interesting. Lol. He says "UH OH" and makes the most exaggerated face with it. We have been working with him to learn body parts. So far he can point to his nose when you ask him. It's so cute.
The timehop app is breaking my heart!!!! Nothing really new with savannah this week, but she goes back to daycare next Friday and is moving up to "waddlers". Apparently they will transition her to no bottles during the day and only one nap from 1-3 We're having a really hard time getting her to drink milk from a sippy cup, but I give her a big bottle before bed so she at least gets some milk. This is a huge change because she was drinking probably too much milk from bottles all week until really recently.
Over the weekend we drove up to visit DH in Chincoteague, VA where he's been on a work trip. Saw the wild ponies, had delicious food and swam at the hotel pool. Jackie found a baby sized adirondack chair and immediately sat in it. I might have to get one.
DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
Passed out on daddy after missing her nap and playing at Grammy and papas house all day she will carry anything we leave to bring upstairs. These are 2 shirts I got her and she took them all the way up. lily has too many dog friends and now occasionally picks up her toys with her mouth. Silly girl will crawl around with it in her teeth.
Tristan lives for going outside and turning on lights and fans in our house. He has started to mimic the sounds of words such as downstairs and outside. Says uh-oh appropriately and knows where his and our noses are. He has been walking up a storm and likes to play a game where he pushes DH and I around the house. Caught him making this face when his farm played music instead of just making animal sounds.
We took the kids to the Maui Ocean Center on one of the last days of our family vacation, and Ollie loved the seahorses so much that he threw a fit when it was time to move on.
We spent the last week visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Central Oregon. We took him to a splash pad which he absolutely loved. At Fred Meyer, Grandpa let him ride in the fire truck cart and he made his fire engine siren noise pretty much the whole time (luckily he hasn't figured out how to do the sound loud yet). Then we went to the ranch where Grandma rides and he met/rode a "neigh neigh."
I'm starting to hear more words. He's got hot, hat and hi down. I've heard duck and book. A horse is a neigh neigh and a cow is a moo. And then tonight we were watching So You Think You Can Dance and when the music came in he would start dancing and he would say dance. At least that's what it sounded like to me.
Sam knows where his ears, eyes, mouth and toes are but adamantly refuses to point to his nose lol.
I don't know about you guys, but I love this age. He is so much fun. I'm SO sad that teachers report back in Monday and I have to take him back to daycare. This summer has been the best.
Re: HDBD 8/23
Here is Cam lounging watching Daniel tiger with his sisters. I looked over and he was in the state of baby relaxation lol.
