GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well?

1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 16 weeks, avocado or a donut depending on the app. 

2) How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good! Got a pregnancy pillow so a lot of my aches and pains are gone and I feel like I am sleeping better. Just having a lot of body image anxiety but what are you going to do? 

3) Any appointments this week? Early AS on Fri morning, hoping we find out the sex then! And I just want to see the baby, I got so used to frequent US that I start to get worried between them. 

4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I am pretty sure I felt the baby last night! I was very still in bed on my back and it felt like bubbles in a small concentrated spot, different from the gas bubbles I normally feel. IDK, maybe it wasn't. can't wait to start feeling movement I feel like it will calm my anxiety a lot more. 

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well? Reading was favorite, I was always reading when I was supposed to be doing something else, and I loved all the period books like Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gables and Little Women. I can't wait to share books with my kids.

2) How are you feeling?
Tired. Still. I had a little surge in energy last week, but now I'm so exhausted. It's lunchtime right now, and I want to take a nap on my desk.

3) Any appointments this week?
Friday morning... looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again. I also get nervous when there's a long stretch and I don't have any appointments. 

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not baby-related, lol. Just typical back-to-school stuff (probably contributing to my exhaustion), and of course the computer and technology-related issues that always seem to happen right at the start of the semester. Grr.

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well?
I was super in to dolls, especially the American Girls dolls (the historical ones!). My DD isn't particularly interested in dolls right now, which is totally fine by me. I am more hopeful that she (and the LO that is currently incubating) will be interested in running and doing crafts with me

1) How far along are you? How big is baby?  15 weeks today, baby is the size of a navel orange. 

2) How are you feeling? I'm feeling good, and thankful for it!  Fatigue is slowly decreasing, which I am so glad about, as I go back to school next week (I'm a teacher).  

3) Any appointments this week? None this week, but I went at the end of last week for a regular check-in, and heard the baby's heartbeat loud and strong in there! 

4) Rants/Raves/Questions? None as of now. 

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well? I remember loving any pretend play-type toys.  I had small plastic people (similar to Little People), that I loved, and as I got older, things like Barbies and dollhouses.  As a preschool teacher who loves play-based learning, it would be fun to see my child enjoy that type of thing, too.

Good!  Sore nipples but I'm assuming I'll have those the entire time. Otherwise I'm doing really good.

Nope.  My next isn't until 9/11

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm getting sick.  Sniffles, scratch throat, coughing and sneezing. Not a happy camper. It also reminded me that I need to get a flu shot soon. Blerg. 

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well?
I was always reading. My mom used to complain about how much money she would spend on books. It's how I relax.

2) How are you feeling?  Pretty good.  Just the usual constipation and lack of sleep

3) Any appointments this week?  Yep! Regular appointment and a consultation with a Fetal Maternal specialist tomorrow

I loved to read.  I hope he does too!!

15 weeks, orange 

2) How are you feeling?
OK. Nausea has returns in the afternoons and I am absolutely exhausted again. Kind of like the first trimester. Both my kids have clothes though so I think maybe I'm just fighting that right now. Moving next Thursday I'm completely overwhelmed with everything that I have to do and feeling the way that I do right now.   Thankful to know that we have lots of family helping out but I know no matter what it will all get done 

3) Any appointments this week?

 Had a doctors appointment yesterday with the kiddos. It's the last time that our doctor would see us before we moved. Thankfully got to hear Babys heartbeat very briefly. Dr was trying to hurry since my kids were on the verge of a meltdown. It was really great to hear Babys heartbeat though. I always like that bit of reassurance. 

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
 Rave:  just indulged in McDonald's french fries for supper because that was the only thing that sounded good with my nausea. It was so very worth it. 

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well?
 I was super into Barbies as well as reading. I definitely hope that all of my kids love to read. My two-year-old daughter so far loves books. As for the Barbies, I still have them so if the kids take an interest someday great but at the same time it wouldn't bother me that much if they never have any interest. Lol

14 Weeks, lil man is peachy!

Not bad! Back to school (jr high teacher/coach) has been exhausting but in a good way.

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Can TS Harvey just dissolve into thin air?! I don't want anyone to receive exceeding damage. Thankfully for now we are just outside of the worst of anything, but my home town is right where they expect the storm to make landfall. And I don't want the storm to head this way because we are expected to close on our house on Friday! Momma's movin on up!! 

And my sweet DS is having a hard week this week. I hope it gets better for him soon. I don't know if he's growing or if his daycare is exhausting him or maybe he doesn't feel well (no obvious symptoms though) but I hate it when he's not happy. 

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well?
When I was a kid you couldn't pry the basketball out of my hands even if you tried. I hope that at least one of my babies loves the sport the way I did.

Aww thank you. I'm thankful it's only in the late afternoons until evening at least.

We are watching Harvey too @rachelleck.  It's not supposed to be anything but rain in Louisiana but you never know with a hurricane.

Still waiting for my energy to return and nausea to go away. Tis the season for my allergies to start freaking out so I've started Zyrtec and magnesium to help with headaches.

3) Any appointments this week?

No appointments for a few weeks.

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
My big kids start back to school next week! We've had a great summer but I am very ready for the routine. I also have a few fall crafts on my "to do" list so hopefully I'll find time to get those done. Anyone else crafty? I like to think I am but I rarely have or make the time for them anymore.

GTKY: What was your favorite toy/activity as a kid, and is it something you want your LO to like as well?

 I can remember my kit & caboodle, trolls, and barbies. I think by age 8 or 9 I was always off on my bike. How times have changed!!! My daughter has a kit & caboodle and did play with barbies. Being 11, she's not into toys much. But, my youngest son (2) plays with her barbies

Music and dancing! My DD loves to dance everytime she hears music! It's wonderful!
