  • I just saw your u/s pic, @mispanda. So happy for you!

    My next appointment is next Monday.  I'm just meeting with a PA filling out my paper work, going over any questions and setting up appointments/blood work if needed based on what the RE sends over.
    I also can't say if I've notice anything yet in regards to your gif.  I'm not a small chested person but I sure got pretty big when my milk came in last time.
  • yayyy @mispanda
    @JJMNO1616 ugh sorry for the MS lady
    @cards10 lol I completely get that gif. I ordered bralettes a few weeks ago and have been living in them! I was also a lightly padded bra person because I don't have large tee tons. Good luck with your follow up appt.

  • @WillRunForWine21 @mispanda yep. Right there with ya on running to the bathroom. Every time I always breathe a sigh of relief and then say encouraging words to the little one :) PGAL brain is crappy. But today we are pregnant!!!
  • I told two of my friends that I'm pregnant today. It felt weird to say it. They're the first ones I've told besides MH and doctors office. They've been there for all my pregnancies so they understand. It was nice to cautiously celebrate for a little bit :)
  • @mispanda @WillRunForWine21 @cards10 +1 to checking the toilet paper every time!
    @mispanda Congrats on the good U/S and passing up milestones.

    Hi ladies!

    @WillRunForWine21 Hi!! Happy to be here. :) Hugs for your PGAL brain. It really is the worst. I'm right with you on freaking about cramping and checking my underwear eleventy billion times a day. I hope that your u/s comes quickly for you. Not too much longer!

    @mispanda Congrats on passing your milestones. I hope that is bringing you a little comfort. I loved your u/s update! Yay!! <3

    @hedgepig Yasss come on Friday!!

    @saralee797-2 What kind of bralettes did you get?

    @cards10 FX for great beta news for you tomorrow. That's nice that you got to celebrate this pregnancy a little with your friends. It's good to have people in your corner. We have gone back and forth about telling people early this time or not. MH and I decided tonight that we are just going to go ahead and tell his parents. We would tell them if it didn't work out and they know about our previous loss. I sort of feel like, for me, celebrating a little now isn't going to make it hurt more if something bad happens. I think it will still hurt just the same. So, I'm feeling like sharing with a few people now is where it's at for me too.

    @kmalls I'm so glad that a good appointment this week has you feeling better mentally.

    @justkeepswimming8 Ugh- the sex dreams! I had forgotten about those. I had so many weird ones too- about exes, like really loser exes, and I would wake up hating myself like nooooooo where did that come from? :s

    Sorry about your MS @JJMNO1616. How's the spotting?

    AFM I'm doing ok! Just white knuckling it until my u/s on 9/13. MH has work travel basically non stop until then, so I'm hoping that taking care of DD, the dogs, and the house by myself will make the time go by quickly. I'm having some nausea, but it's only really in the afternoon and a little in the evening. Part of me is wishing that I was puking my guts out for reassurance, but I know that it's still early and also that it's crazy to wish for that.

    Are any of you guys still temping? Or did you temp in earlier weeks? I'm still doing it to make sure that my temp is staying high, but I'm going back and forth on when/if I should stop.
  • @fishsticks-n-custard I do get migraines, although not very often. That's a great suggesttion, I'll look into magnesium.
    @kbamomma33 I temped for a few days out of habit, but then I didn't know of any reason to keep doing so, so I stopped. BTW, when's your EDD?

  • @fishsticks-n-custard Love me some Chick-fil-a! I typically don't like anything with ginger but I may have to give that a try if it helps with the nausea. I felt pretty sick all day yesterday.

    @kbamomma33 It seems like it has stopped? It gradually got lighter yesterday and I haven't seen anything the last few times I went to the bathroom to check. So I'm crossing my fingers it was a fluke but I'm waiting to hear back from my Dr. about my Progesterone level. I had some pretty strong cramps last night though... so if it's not one thing it's another. Oh, and I stopped temping after I got my BFP. I also didn't want to obsess over it.

    @justkeepswimming8 I didn't know sex dreams were a pregnancy thing but I have had several recently and it's so weird!! I also feel kind of bad because I can't say they always include my husband  :#
  • @fishsticks-n-custard I am a FTM and I am having the same issue. I look like I have a bump at 8 weeks!! I really haven't gained weight but maybe I need to get my butt back to the gym. Oh and now I want nuggets and fries  :s
  • @kbamomma33 I stopped temping after one medicated cycle so I can't really comment. If I were you, I would put it down if you feel like it might feed into the BSC. You are pregnant! As for the bras, I had two racerback ones previously but I felt like they sort of pressed down on my shoulders in a way that made them ache after I long day but that is where I carry my tension. So, I got two regular style ones. Here are the links:

    I like the pink one because it has more of a lining/structure but the grey is soooo comfy. They are pretty inexpensive too!

  • @kbamomma33 my thoughts exactly about telling people. I will only tell those that will support us if this results in another loss. And they know they aren't allowed to get too excited yet but I still want to smile about it. GL telling your ILs! We are telling my parents this weekend and MH parents next weekend.
    I also understand about wanting to feel symptoms for reassurance but enjoy the time you have only being slightly nauseous before it hits.
    And I stopped temping just a couple days after BFP. I wanted my stress-less sleep back!
  • @cards10 hooray!! Solid results!!
  • @hedgepig Yay for friday!  Hoping you get some good views of the little one!
    @fishsticks-n-custard I feel you on the bloat.  I've got it bad which makes me look I have a "bump" and I'm terrified on someone calling me out because I'm a terrible liar but not ready to share the news.
    @kbamomma33 I didn't temp because it was a medicated cycle but I have been keeping up with my resting heart rate every morning.  It spiked down fast at 6 weeks and I freaked out but it went back up a little and basically plateaued.  I'm ready to toss my fitbit for my sanity until after I give birth.  I have a feeling If I was still temping I might have stopped to help with my anxiety.

  • @cards10
    Hell yeah! Those are great numbers.

    On a side note, I have to say I was pretty chill about this hurricane until my boss just called me and let me know they want me to sleep in the hospital Friday night since I work the Sat/Sun day shift. Looks like I might be spending 48 hours in the hospital. I don't sleep well in the call beds at the best of times but pregnancy is REALLY messing with my sleep. This should be fun.

    @fishsticks-n-custard how did you get a gif of my exact reaction???  :D
    And that's pretty crappy having to sleep in the hospital! I had absolutely no idea there was a hurricane until your post. Then a coworker literally came up to me as I read that and said "my brother lives in Houston. Apparently there's a hurricane heading that way" so i guess it surprised a lot of people.

    @hedgepig oh no!

  • @cards10 great numbers!! yipeeee
  • @fishsticks-n-custard Oh no! That really sucks you have to stay there... I'm in complete denial about this hurricane which is exactly what I did last year when I lived in Miami and we got hit by that Hurricane. I waited until the morning of the storm and then freaked out and jumped on a plane to Houston lmao. I don't have anywhere to run to this time though! DH and I need to get our shit together.

    @cards10 YAS giiiirl... so happy to hear the good results!

    @hedgepig UGH, I'm so sorry! Don't they realize that's cruel and unusual punishment for us preggos?

  • @JJMNO1616 Glad the spotting has stopped. Keep us posted when you hear from your Dr.

    @saralee797-2 I love the arie bealettes! I've got a couple of the lace ones, but I've been wanting to try the padded ones. That pink one is cute!

    @cards10 Yassssss those are great results!! :smiley:

    @fishsticks-n-custard That sucks that you have to sleep at the hospital for the weekend. Stay safe! Hopefully the hurricane won't be too bad.

    @hedgepig

    No! Aw man, what a drag that they moved it to Tuesday when it was supposed to be tomorrow. Not ok! I hope the weekend goes by quickly and maybe you can find some fun ways to relax and distract yourself.
  • Got some good news... the nurse from my Dr. office just called and said my progesterone and HCG looks great. She said my Progesterone is a 29 and that my HCG was "high" although I don't know the number. So they don't seem to have any immediate concerns about the spotting for now. :)   However, the nurse also said on the phone that they wanted to schedule my first prenatal appointment which really confused me because I scheduled an appointment the day I got my BFP. Turns out I was never put on the schedule!!! Thankfully they still had the same day and time available that I initially scheduled so it's all good but I would have been SO pissed if I had shown up that day to be turned away.
  • @JJMNO1616 oh man, I'm so glad the scheduling mix up was caught! Because yeah, if you had shown up the day of the appointment and they didn't have you down? I mean, a public meltdown probably would be appropriate.
  • @JJMNO1616 I agree with @kmalls, I'm so glad they caught the mix up at least. I would have melted down into a big pile of pregnancy tears.

    Ugh, it's a Category 3 now. WTAF? I swear just yesterday I thought there were saying "maybe a cat 1".

    I TOTALLY would have had a melt down too. It's bad enough I am waiting 9 weeks for this appointment in the first place. I just don't know how the girl I spoke to on the phone to schedule the appointment messed that up? That's literally her one main job.

    I know, I feel so ill prepared for this. I hope it loses some of it's momentum or goes in a different direction. I also feel heartbroken for the people in Houston who are still recovering from the massive flood one year ago. So many of my patients lost everything and are still rebuilding their lives. Not to mention those who moved here from New Orleans after hurricane Katrina to start over. It's going to be devastating to see this happen to any of them again.
  • Yes please stay safe and let us know you are okay!!
