Pupdate: negative for parvo, blood results look normal. Slightly increased white blood cells (makes sense since with the fever he's obviously fighting something off). They're going to keep him until 6 to give him "hydration therapy" and keep an eye on his fever, and at EOD we'll discuss if they need him overnight or if we can take him home. Going to bring him his favorite pillow now so that he can have a little comfort while there.

@nimmle They have me on video and the tour company had it on their home page for about 3 months after!!! I've done four tours there over the years and would go again. Especially on a blue sky day the photos you get are just amazing. The beautiful old town... ahhhh... I used to have to go to different places in Austria every month for work and often stayed on weekends for skiing in winter or hiking in summer... though I do loved Switzerland too...

@emmasemm I'm old already and had several(TW) miscarriages so likely ive got to bet on many of my embies not being viable. By banking I make many as I can with my relatively good AMH (I think its 2.3) which will likely deteriorate fast. Basically getting as many as I can up front. My DH is the one who wanted to try a transfer (TW - which we did and ended in mc) so now I'm back on the banking thing.
If you dont get OHSS it should be fine to do a fresh transfer, but lots of places (over here) now recommend FETs as they allow the body to get back to normal first. But the odds are about the same, I think. Fresh is also cheaper, I guess!
@emmasemm Haha it's been a hot minute since I did that pose. I could probably do it still but I'd likely fall a few times. Also, your travels sound amazing!

But the RE said he maintains good success rates with patients with my numbers both young and old, just doesn't want to lose anymore time before we start as he said each month counts. If we would be lucky to get more than 3 blasts then he is happy to freeze and bank the "extras" if we want though still not standard practice here. He is also leaving it up to the last minute to decide when to do transfers - he said he's ok anywhere from 3-7 days depending in number and quality. I like his flexibility so far as with low AMH you never know for sure how many can be stimulated. Though I feel like I'm running ahead when we've got to get follies and eggs and fertilize them first... but can't keep my feet on the ground today...

Yeah... sometimes the numbers don't tell the whole story... all you can do is try and hope it all works out! No point in doing anything but being positive. Sounds like your doc has a great attitude!

Pupdate: after antibiotics pup's fever went down and he was cleared to go home! He has a lot more energy and seems to be feeling much better! He's drinking water and had the biggest pee I've ever seen in my life. DH is currently boiling him some chicken for dinner.
@jrm_14 you eat ground pumpkin seeds and ground flax seeds until O and then switch to ground sesame seeds and ground sunflower seeds until AF, it is supposed to balance hormones - I started because my cycles have been a bit irregular after coming off BCP 11 months ago and a friend's naturopath had told her about this technique. TBH it's my first cycle trying to seed cycle so I can't say if it's effective or not
@canucklehead123 Welcome! Seed cycling sounds really interesting. (Possibly a silly question, but can you buy ground pumpkin seeds or do you ground them yourself? I've seen ground flax seeds, but not ground pumpkin seeds. Also, how much of them do you eat a day? And do you mix them in a smoothie or something? You'll have to keep us posted).
@dukestar5 ooh some of my post got cut off -- weird!! I buy them whole and put a tablespoon of each into my morning smoothie... I make sure to put them in the blender first so they are ground well. I've not seen them sold ground in stores (except flax). I will keep you posted!
@jrm_14 Last night I did a little research on seed cycling (thanks to @canucklehead123's post) and read that you can eat them whole instead of ground, but ground is preferable because you take in more of the nutrients. Grinding helps break down the tough outer layer, which makes the nutrients more accessible to your body. If you dont get OHSS it should be fine to do a fresh transfer, but lots of places (over here) now recommend FETs as they allow the body to get back to normal first. But the odds are about the same, I think. Fresh is also cheaper, I guess!

@canucklehead123 Welcome! Seed cycling sounds really interesting. (Possibly a silly question, but can you buy ground pumpkin seeds or do you ground them yourself? I've seen ground flax seeds, but not ground pumpkin seeds. Also, how much of them do you eat a day? And do you mix them in a smoothie or something? You'll have to keep us posted).
Now just to decide whether I should try seed cycling. Down the rabbit hole I go! haha
