1. How long have you been TTC?
2. What is your diagnosis?
3. What is your current Rx plan?
QOTW: Confessional is open, tell us a secret. (I'll start: there is a coworker who likes to stand over me at my desk everyday to talk my ear off, and bore me to death with minutiae about his life. I recently worked out an arrangement with another coworker to call me at my desk when he comes over - so I can act busy and wave him off).
Re: TTTC Checkin: 08/16/2017
@worldtravler0522 What about you?! Good news, I hope!!
QOTW Oh God, I'll have to come back to this one. I'm drawing a blank!
Unfortunately, I got AF last week two days before beta testing with RE. I was really hopeful since I started daily baby aspirin and got my progesterone checked a week after ovulation. Level was good so my RE did not give additional progesterone so we were kind of hoping for the best, but good old AF arrived. ****TW**** To make things a even harder, I got AF the same day as my due date for my first pregnancy. UGH! It was a shitty week!
I met with RE Monday and she wants us to keep trying and if we don't have success by November, we will try IUI next. Trying to stay positive and hoping for some success soon, not only for me but for you ladies as well! Hope we see some BFPs this month!
QOTW: DH and I are going to Maine this weekend with our group of 6 friends/couples- two of which are pregnant. I love them and am truly very happy for them, but I'm really hoping their pregnancies are not the topic of conversation the entire weekend. It's hard! Also, I know it's difficult for people to ask how we are doing because it's a sensitive topic, but I find it really frustrating that neither of them are asking how I am given that they knew about our first pregnancy back in December, and got pregnant after us.
@Bababatty Hope you get a BFP, it's still early & so hard to wait!

@tinabell8, I'm sorry you got AF--that timing really sucks.
QOTW: Confessional...here's a scary one. I'm feeling super overwhelmed about how to pay for childcare if/when we are successful. We've been TTC for over a year, but the financial reality is still in the "we'll figure it out when we have to" stage. We both have good jobs, but we've got 2 car payments, student loan payments, and a mortgage. I've got a budget drafted, but we've never been great at actually following the budget all month, so I'm kind of terrified that we'll end up having to sell a car or beg my parents to help look after the kid. Bleh. Money.

QOTW: Geez just one? I think we need a weekly thread for this haha. I judge my SIL for being married to someone who is the biggest tool and super controlling. Example, when she was pregnant with her first he wouldn't let her have a male OBGYN because he didn't feel comfortable with it and also she couldn't deliver vaginally because he didn't want it to mess her up down there. F THAT!!!

@soehlerk - Don't worry - I have faith that you will pull through with the budget and stick to it when you have to.
Obviously, IF has been a huge drain on our finances. In addition to the cost of IVF and IUIs themselves, I've gained some weight with the stress and have bought new clothes. I've also been too tired to cook or grocery shop, so we've been eating out more. And then other stuff has gone wrong too - car troubles, needing to take a pet to the vet, etc. Right now, I'm feeling pretty stressed about finances too. But I'm hoping that we'll be able to cut back over the next couple of months and that I'll be able to right the slightly-tilting ship.
@Worldtravler0522 - keeping FX for you!!! OMG, I would have a seriously hard time with my BIL if he were like that about the vaginal deliveries, etc.
AFM: Waiting to have this fibroid removed. Or maybe polyp. I dunno - at the hysteroscopy they told me fibroid, but I went in again for another U/S with the surgeon who will be removing it, and she seems to think polyp. Regardless, I won't be going under the knife for a couple of months. So yeah, just a lot of waiting...
QOTW: Just one?! I have big ones and little ones, and some that aren't secrets so much as just passing whims - like moments where I think about quitting my job or quitting IF treatments or my marriage or whatever - and I can't always tell if they're just moods/bad days or premonitions...
Maybe that's my secret? Sometimes I think about quitting everything and walking away - despite how hard I've worked at this, and how dedicated I've been and all the time and money I've put in. Like, I think: "Maybe if I don't have kids, it won't be so bad."
And I'm also pretty sure that once I have kids, I'm going to think: "Am I meant to do this?" LOL!
@tinabell8 sorry for AF. I'll be visiting my RE in November to discuss a new plan if I don't get a BFP before then.
@soehlerk sorry for AF. I worry about the cost of children, childcare, etc. we don't have much of a plan about what we will do financially either, I'm just taking things one day at a time.
@Worldtravler0522 OMG! I'm so happy for you!! Hopefully you get. Ice strong betas!
@funkykey I think about quitting everything and waking away into the sunset too. I am really happy with my life, but sometimes when I'm really down of feeling really frustrated I just want to walk away and never come back. Of course I would never do that but sometimes it's fun to pretend.
As far as me, not much is new. AF started Monday night so that's crappy. We are just continuing to try naturally until November when I meet with my RE again if not KU.
@Worldtravler0522 Congrats! FX everything continues to progress well.
@funkykey I definitely have those moments. DH and I are incredibly happy w/ each other, but I still have moments (or longer) when I think about being single and starting over in a new place, fewer commitments. Sometimes wearing a skirt that's too short for my age and going out with a girl friend for a drink help me let loose and regain my sanity.

@tinabell8 sorry for AF
@Worldtravler0522 I have everything crossed for a good beta and that this is it for you!!
@funkykey I'm sorry you have such a long wait for the fibroid/polyp removal, that really sucks! Why will it take so long?
AFM, I had a follicle check yesterday. I have 4, possibly 5 mature follicles (the 5th one was 14mm but he thinks it could catch up). My RE gave us the option to cancel but left it up to us and we decided to move forward. I figure that we haven't been able to get anything to fertilize yet, so the odds of all 5 fertilizing are very low. My RE said "anything is possible." I figure if we end up with multiples then maybe we won't have to go through this again in a few years Our hopes are high with this one, with 5 mature follicles if something doesn't take then we both feel like IUI isn't going to do the trick for us. So, trigger tonight, IUI Monday morning, beta on 9/4.
@Bababatty how did your first beta go?? Fingers crossed you got good news!

Update from me.. had my first u/s today, and should have been at 7w3d. The embryo was measuring too small (less than 6 weeks), couldn't see a heartbeat and they found some bleeding in my uterus.
The Dr said it still could be ok so scheduled me for another u/s next Wednesday, but he thinks there's much higher chance of it not being good. He's basically told me to expect to mc.
I'm really hoping he's wrong, and that we'll be ok, but I'm really feeling quite hopeless right now.
