AH! I'm not really on here for 1 day and this thread blows up! LOL. I'll have to catch up reading this.
1 - BD last night boo-yah! Dh is out of town tonight and comes back tomorrow night. I don't track but I sure as heck know when that fertile CM is revving up. Not going to lie but DH has nights where he is "sensitive" so doesn't last as long but I sure as hell don't care because he made his deposit in me ha!
3 - No Rants! We went to the outdoor community pool today. It was the last day it was open because school starts tomorrow. Summer break went fast this year! I'm so excited to get back to my normal routine now that DD will be in 1st grade. I own my own business so I haven't gotten as much things accomplished as I normally do to say the least.
4 - Fall is my favorite season but I dread what comes after it which is winter. We don't have too much planned before Labor Day. The eclipse is next Monday and our city falls right smack dab in totality which will last a couple minutes. Dh is a photographer and bought a special lens to take photos with.
DH watches GOT religiously. He watched it last night after I went to bed. He said it was awesome. Last week we finished watching the entire series of Breaking Bad for the 2nd time. We first watched it 3 years ago. Damn what a great show that was and just as good the 2nd time thru. So we still have netflix - any recommendation of shows to binge on?
@vlagrl29 My city is in the band of totality, too! Pretty excited to see the eclipse next week got my sweet paper glasses all ready to go. As for Netflix shows, I haven't watched it yet, but I've heard that if you liked Breaking Bad, you'll like Ozark.
@dpjennifer I'm so pumped for DragonCon...it'll be my first year and I'm going to rock so many GOT panels. And Buffy...and Harry Potter...and TWD....and on and on and on...
@justsuzie I just want to say how much I appreciate the amount of Buffy gifs you bring to this board. Also, I too occasionally watch GOT without my husband (he works nights) and I've gotten very good at feigning surprise at all the right monents!
@justsuzie unfortunately I think I might be the OG of this board. I had my loss in February 2016 so we should almost have a one year old. It totally sucks. We are now over 2 years total of of TTC.
vlagrl29 LMAO... "made his deposit" I just died!!!!
@justsuzie Buffy gifs make me sad because like 6 years ago I re-watched the entire series on Netflix, and recently wanted to rewatch some of it... and it's no longer on there!?!?
MooFish2364 Ugh. I hate thinking of the dating of my 'children.' My first loss was October 2015. I'm definitely benched until at least the end of September, so I'm looking at 2 years of TTCAL before I can even get KU with my rainbow. *sigh* What a shyte journey.

@dpjennifer they took some of the Buffy seasons off last winter I think. I hate when they do that! I love being able to rewatch my favorite series.
So my good friend that I know has struggled with fertility issues for years just informed me she had another loss. That's her 11th mc since 2013 with only one live birth. My heart was just crushed for her.
ELeighMay Wow. Your friend must be so strong. I can't even imagine 11 MCs. I'm glad she had the one live birth though! I'm seriously sitting here wondering though how she stays sane because I've had 4 MC and I feel like I've lost so much of myself through the process. This is why we've decided on 1, maybe 2 more MC, and then we're choosing childless not by choice, because I don't know how much more I can take. I don't think there's enough 'happy' pills in the world to wrap my mind around 11 MCs.

@dpjennifer I honestly have no idea. I was absolutely speechless. I just stood there looking at her in awe thinking there's no freakin' way I could ever endure that much loss. I had one and I fell to pieces. I knew she'd had several, but had no clue it had been that many. She gets PG easily, but just can't hold them. I felt exactly like everyone around me felt when they found out. What do you say? This one was the worst for her, it lasted the longest of any of them and they were so hopeful it would stick. I think she's done. Her DH wants to keep trying, but she's just drained. I just hugged her and we both cried. It's just so unfair. I instantly felt that anger of all these other women who are freaking out about their "oops" babies. The universe is so cruel.
@ELeighMay wow, just give your friend a hug from me too. That breaks my heart to pieces for her. Definitely sending thoughts her way and your way in hopes you find a good way to support her. @rklinge0 We are headed to HAWAII on our vacation. Bucket list trip for us for sure. Cannot wait. @justsuzie I have to say until I joined this board I didn't know that anyone besides me watched Buffy! It was one of those things that I never, NEVER spoke about! Not sure why, I just watched it obsessively alone like a creep! I also watched the show Angel when Buffy ended. I might be on my own on that one though!? @vlagrl29 So I know everyone just loves Fall, but really, ALL I can think about is that WINTER IS COMING. I live up North though and winters can be brutal here though. I think I would be fine with it if I lived in sunny Cali or something. Sigh.
@mrschx Thank you, I invited her to join our board in hopes of her finding an outlet that she could express herself. We live in the middle of nowhere MN and there aren't a lot of resources here for comfort. I'm not sure that she will, but she seemed happy to know that you ladies are here. And HAWAII!!! That's awesome! It's been nothing but rain here for a week and some sand and sun would be amazing about now. Fall is already here for us.
Hi ladies. I've come for a quick rant. I'm sitting in my OB office waiting to meet to talk about my situation and a plan of action.
Sitting right across from me in the tinny waiting room is a pg lady- probably right around where I should be had I not had my MC. I know I'm at an OB where pg women should be- but I usually get the first appointment of the day and avoid them- this just sucks. Ugh. I. Hate. This. I hate that we are all dealing with this shitty situation. Ok rant over.
I still have sooo much catching up to do on this weeks thread- you ladies have been chatty and I've been slow in keeping up!
jchpg I had that same experience this week when I stopped to get my blood drawn for my HCG quant. There was a very PG girl who came and sat down in the chair directly next to me and started to whine to the person that was with her about how sick of being PG she was. She just went on and on about it. I wanted to cut her off and tell her how fortunate she was and how many other women would love to be complaining about heartburn and swollen feet right about now. She was clueless. I would far rather had been getting my HCG checked to be sure it was rising properly than falling appropriately after a loss. Chin up lady, I hope your OB appointment goes well.
mrschx I watched Angel years ago when it came out! And yay Hawaii!
jchpg I hate going to the OB for that reason. LIke you said, you know it's a place for PG people too, but sucks to see it when you're going through this.

@mrschx - Hawaii is the best! We went there for our honeymoon in 2009 and I want to go back for our 10 year anniversary in 2 years. We visited Oahu and Kauai. Kauai was the absolute best!
@ELeighMay - holy crap 11 losses! I don't even want another one. That's absolutely horrible. I can see why she would be done.
@ELeighMay my heart goes out to your friend. I can't imagine going through this that many times. I agree with @dpjennifer each one has taken a bit of me. I'm not sure I would be sane after 11 MCs.
@ELeighMay I can't even begin to imagine what your friend is going through after 11 losses. Hugs to her from all of us.
@jchpg I know how you feel. When I went into my ob office for mY D&C, I had to sit in the waiting room surrounded by pregnant women. That was really rough. Stay strong, you'll be one of those pg ladies soon!
@mack2342 Agreed. I myself nowhere near that strong.
On a lighter note, my step-dad (or dad) has discovered Pinterest. Anyone have older parents who have discovered Pinterest? I'm seriously dying just picturing him sitting in his old man jammies, bifocals, and slippers on the couch scrolling through Pinterest. He text me this morning to say that he found some really cool wedding reception decoration ideas and will be creating the stick flower holders (pictured) and a s'mores bar for the event next week.
@ELeighMay haha that's awesome. My mom doesn't do Pinterest (that I know of), but she loves twitter and is always sending me links to things she finds there. I find it hilarious when the older generation tries to "get with" technology
@jchpg ugh that is the worst. I remember being at a lab appt when ttc my son we lost, and the Teenager in the waiting room seat next to me was doing her GD test drinking the sugar thing and whining about it so loudly nonstop. I mean come on, universe! Get with It! @vlagrl29 we are doing Kauai and Maui for our 10 yr anniversary! If you have any Kauai suggestions on must do activities I will take them!
@mrschx- Spend the money and do the helicopter tour in Kauai. OMG too beautiful to put into words. I literally almost cried. Also you must snorkel in PoiPu beach and go to a luau. Honestly I feel like we should start saving money now because I've heard airlines have gone up since we went almost 8 years ago. We want to go to Kaua'i and the Big Island next time. Take our DD with us.
@dpjennifer it sucks because my cousin's fiancé was a month ahead of me. So every time I see milestone pics of her baby I think of what should have been for me.
@ELeighMay so sorry for your friend. I can't even imagine that many losses.
@jchpg I know what you mean. There was a very pregnant lady at my RE's office a few weeks ago. It early sucked but then made me hopeful because she was stopping by because he helped her get pregnant and her OB is next door. I just hope one day I can walk in with a big ol belly and thank him.
Sorry in advance for the rant... one of my coworkers is like about to pop pregnant, and we are having a baby shower for her at work this Friday before she leaves next week on leave. I'm the "baker" of my office, so yesterday one of my other coworkers who's planning the shower came to me to ask if I could bake the cake, and that just set me over the edge. I know they don't know what I'm going through right now with just having a loss, but there's something about baking a baby-themed cake that just stings even more.
@pumpkinpancake I'm so sorry- that's not an easy place to be. One thing I've learned is learn to say no. I think if I were in your shoes, I would just say no, sorry I can't do it this time. They can buy something and it will be fine. You can say no if you want to, and not have to justify it to anyone.
@pumpkinpancake I wouldn't want to make the cake. I think I would find a reason not to make it but that's me. I had to buy 2 baby presents before my MMC back in Nov. I always tell my husband they are lucky they got gifts before because I don't think I could have done it after my MMC.
pumpkinpancake Agreed. I think you should decline to make it. Tell them you're sick or don't have time or really ANYTHING. At least it was a last minute request so you can decline more easily?

Thanks for the responses, all. I was kind of taken aback with the request, and just said of course without thinking, since I always bake things for our office. As much as I don't want to, I think I'm just going to make cupcakes (regular ones, ignoring the baby theme), and then eat all the cake afterwards to make myself feel better
guyz I hadn't looked for mini schnauzer pups in almost a week and I went to my usual sites and checked in for new ads. There was a new ad on CL in my city and it looked somewhat promising. They had a phone number listed where as before it was a scam on different puppies. I emailed her now and we will see if she replies and I'll know quick of its another scam. I may call her this afternoon before 4pm. It's all about the price too. We have $500 allocated and that includes first vet visit.
I called and there are 3 female puppies left. Asking $400. So plan is to talk to dh tonight and go from there. She said to call her back after I talk to my husband. It's getting real and I'm getting nervous I don't know why. I just don't want to get something to fill a hole from the miscarriage but at the same time maybe we won't get pregnant for another year.
