Good morning all!!

So, the good thing about all this exhaustion, is that its taught my oldest to be way more independent. He's been getting his own breakfasts and lunches :-) Today I even offered to make breakfast and he said no thanks, he'd do it himself. Whaaaatt? Who is this kid? I'll take it!

AFM my mom is here for the week and we're going shopping today! I'm so excited to get out of the house and just have a girls day!

My kid is old, he shoulda been doing this awhile ago, lol lol. Oh well, at least he's got it now. My mom is coming this weekend!! Yay. Going to tell them, but not sure how

DD ate a strawberry and a half this morning and half a banana last night. Finally eating more than puffs!

Foster puppy is gone! She found her home and I am ecstatic but I miss her! Also laid out this weekend and burned my boobs. OUCH.

Got home from my girls weekend at my cottage...and I am EXHAUSTED! It was supposed to rain, but we got lucky and had tons of sun.
@crossfitbabybump I feel your pain. Because it was a little overcast Saturday, and my common sense disappeared, I burnt the tops of my thighs and my boobs.

Agh! Guys I finally got the app working again it kept kicking me out I couldn't reply or anything. Even tho I signed in like 100 time. Has anyone else had this happen.  I went on a bachelorette trip to the USA ( in Canada over here !) and didn't have good wifi to fix it or use the browser instead. But I'm back home and exsausted and feeling bleh ( my stomach is quickly adding a lot of food to the "no" list)  and have busy next couple weeks with that wedding coming up.  Glad to have bump access again tho. Hope all is well with you ladies. I've been feeling so overwhelmed past little bit . I'll be off lurking from the past week 
hope those burns go away soon ladies @crossfitbabybump and @kalawa I was in Vegas for 3 days and surprisingly no burns  it was so so hot tho.

Got lunch with a college friend today!  It was so great to catch up.  And her and her BF have been discussing marriage - so I'm hoping for a proposal/wedding soon!  

On the way back I needed to stop at Krispy Kreme and get the Reese's doughnut.  And it was a.maz.ing.  Not sharing with DH either.

I had to get dressed for my Zumba class 2.5 hours early so I have no excuse not to go. Except I'm so tired. But I will go...in another hour and a half!!

This may belong in Monday b*fest, but I'm so upset. The hospital changed their NT scan policy and won't do it until you are 11.5 weeks. And they only do it on Thursdays. I'll be 11+1 the Thurs before I leave for vacation. Then the week I come home, I have to leave for a work trip on Wednesday so I'll miss it again! They stop doing scans at 13.5 weeks, so I'm freaking out I won't get one.

Called the docs office and OB nurse said I could just go to an elective ultrasound place and pay. But I want the actual scan and a doctor to read it to make sure everything is ok! So now what??

@JamieK1882 I'm not sure how many options there are where you live, but I'd check with your insurance to see if there are any other ultrasound/radiology offices in your area that might be covered but not in your Dr's "system."

Any option to leave a day late for your work trip?  I think NIPT also gives similar results, so that could be an option too.

@becausescience that donut looks so good but also makes me want to vomit at the same time. pregnant problems  hm

I definitely can't leave late for my work trip. I have to be there that day because I'm presenting at a conference. I have a call into the hospital and they open at 7:30am tomorrow so you can bet I'll be calling. If not I'll talk with my doc on monday at my appointment.

For me super sugary Cakey style desserts are a no go right now. Popcicles on the other hand those are my jam right now !  Haha I might be able to get through that one tho becuase of the peanut butter I love peanut butter    @becausescience

Sigh update on my NT scan drama. Called the hospital and they only do them between 11.5-13.5 weeks on Thursday. The Thursday's that I am those weeks I'm out of town. I have a call into another hospital. I'm so frustrated!

Can someone explain to me what the difference is with the noninvasive prenatal testing? I've only ever had an ultrasound.

Well, I just had to spill the beans to my boss and VP. I was nominated for a leadership program at work for developing potential upper level managers. It would be a year long and require 2 week long trips overseas next year. I had to let them know that I wouldn't be able to dedicate the time to the program that I would want to. Luckily they were super excited for me, they "appreciated my honesty", and said they could keep me on the list for the following year. Now let's see if my boss can keep quiet or if the whole office will know by the end of the week!

My Doppler I ordered came in today and I just heard my little babes heartbeat.. it was 180 bpm! I'm 8 weeks today.

One of my old school friends just sent me a surprise gift: a book titled Let's Panic about BABIES!  by Alice Bradley and Eden Kennedy. It looks hilarious and adorable, and I nearly cried laughing when I opened the package. I even brought the book to work since i knew some of my coworkers would get a kck out of it.

I told my closest friend (also my boss) yesterday. She told me she knew! How did everyone know but me?? Lol. She said she could tell by how my shirt was hanging the other day, I looked pregnant but she didn't want to be rude and ask!!

Does anyone else feel kinda weird when you eat the fruit that is supposedly the size of your fetus that week? I have a bowl of strawberries in front of me right now, and I'm like, "well, this is awkward".

Everything seems a lot funnier to me lately. I mean, I also get angry faster and tear up more easily, but I wasn't expecting to find everything SO funny. Maybe its the lack of sleep.

Wanted to leave an update on the NT scan/ultrasound saga.

Background: I really wanted the first trimester u/s done. The doctor that does them with my office only performs them on Thursdays between 11.5 weeks-13.5 weeks. So on Wed, Sept 6th I will be 11 weeks. I leave for vacation on Friday, Sept. 9th. They won't do it the Thurs before I leave (too early), then I'm gone a week. We come home on Sunday, Sept. 17th, and then I leave for a work trip on Wed, Sept. 20th. So I completely miss the window! I spent all day yesterday trying other options. The doc is at a different hospital other days, but they don't take my insurance. I tried calling a hospital that does take my insurance, but they need the script first. Every time I tried calling my OB, no one answered, or I was put on hold then hung up on, or put through to a voicemail of someone on vacation. I was so frustrated and worked up. I've been having some cramping, and it was really bad yesterday (prob because of my stress level). I finally called my doc's office and started sobbing like a crazy person. I also left a message through our online portal for our OB nurse trying to explain everything.

Cut to today, she (the nurse) just calls me back and says, "Jamie, you have an ultrasound at an imaging place tomorrow at 9:45am. Ok bye." Every time I tried to talk to her she was abrupt and cut me off. But whatever, they're doing an internal u/s tomorrow, then apparently the NT one, and then my anatomy scan (all at the imaging place).

I'm the type of person who hates when people are upset with me, so I feel like a fool, but I'm also really happy that I get to see baby and make sure everything is ok!

JamieK1882 Well, I'm sorry they weren't nicer to you, but at least you got what you need from them. My OB office sounds similar. The people who do the scheduling just have zero empathy or compassion. We're all supposed to fit in a one-sized pg box and have no needs. But I digress

Good luck at your US tomorrow! Let us know how it goes. 

Edit: and don't worry what they think of you! They probably have so much going on they won't remember this in an hour.
