Overtired

hello all!
last night
db who is 9 weeks old was inconsolable for an hour straight! After a bath and doing our night time routine he finally calmed down and slept for 81/2 hours! He didn't get his long nap in yesterday. Could it be he was over tired? We tired gripe water, change diaper, feeding,etc thanks
