@orangecup My OB doesn't do a confirmation appt either. Same with my first. I mean there isn't much to do at this point like hear a heartbeat. I will see her at about 9 weeks and have an ultrasound for dating reason. I think they see women with a previous loss history or complications for betas. I love how my ob and the office keeps things nice and calm. Helps me stay calm and positive too.
Got my first betas back finally. Doctor said my levels looked great. 326 at 4 weeks 5 days- though I'm pretty sure I implanted pretty late. Will get them done again tomorrow and hopefully results by Friday. Still so anxious.
@beena722 it'll be great! That first u/s is SO nerve-wracking but I'm sure everything will be fine.
...that being said, mine is on Monday and I waffle back and forth between excitement to see a heartbeat, and dread that things have gone horribly wrong. So I totally get your feelings.
@kmalls yes! I go back and fourth between thinking there's not going to be a heartbeat, and then thinking everything's fine and how exciting it will be to see little babe. Then occasionally I think about what if there's twins I'm a twin but they don't run in my family and they usually skip a generation anyways so I think we'll be good but 25% of me thinks it could be twins. We shall see tomorrow.
Got my 2nd beta levels back today. I went from 97 on the 9th to 281 today, the 11th, so about a 31 hour doubling time. Not bad! I go back Monday for yet another draw, first ultrasound will be around 6.5 weeks. I can't wait!!!
Dr called with my 1st betas and said they're about where they should be for 5.5 weeks. Have to go in for 2nd test Monday and he wants my ultra sound moved up. I didn't go through this with previous 2 at all. The first one I went in around 8 weeks my second I was almost 12 weeks! Think 8-10 weeks for 1st appointment is pretty standard provided there's no previous issues or spotting.
