Me too!!!  If I see someone's phone and they have a badge that says they have 1,000 unread emails it makes my skin crawl lol.

I also hate updating my apps, so I have turned off the little number flag from showing up. I love having no notifications, but I just do not have the energy right now. I might consider doing that to all my apps.

@lainikins how do you do that? I hate that Pinterest now makes a notification when someone on my lit pins anything. I don't care that Sally is pinning casseroles! 

Did I miss F18 dramz?! Or is it another board? Damn work interfering with my bumping

I believe it was deleted by Admins but it was a post that was looking for expectant parents for a tv show. Basically a spam account.

hi ladies! Just checking in. It's only Tuesday but feels like it's been a crazy week. I'm supposed to be getting my results for my nipt back tomorrow. I wish I had an intuition but after three girls, I'm just assuming this one is a girl too. 

i'm also one of those people who hate little icons! 

On another note, I'm starting to plan DDs first birthday. we are doing a tropical Luau theme but I have no desire to actually plan everything. I mean, she won't remember a thing anyway! I'm sure the older girls will have a blast though. 

As I'm reading this, it seems a bit dear diary haha sorry!

I'm planning my DDs first birthday too. We are doing unicorn theme. Both my nieces have their party the weekend after DD and they are doing tropical luau theme/Moana. I'm 100% tempted to try to make DD a grass skirt.

@the_other_mother so this is my first summer baby and we have a pool in our backyard. So naturally, I thought of a tropical theme/pool party for the older kids and sort of an end of the summer party for my friends with no children. Anyway, I thought I was being original and then I quickly realized everyone and their mother is doing a luau theme this year. Thanks Moana! lol and a little grass skirt would be so cute! She'd probably eat in though

(There are two email accounts on my phone and my work account is always cleared out.  The other one is my personal email which goes back to 2004 and gets a fair amount of junk that I don't bother to clean out.)

Regarding kids' bday parties, my friend just had her son's 4th bday party and rented a giant inflatable waterslide and a sno-cone machine, and the parents and siblings of the guests were all there. It was a circus. What happened to just inviting the kids, their parents dropping them off for a couple hours, and having cake and punch and silly little games? I'm not renting a damn waterslide.

I will be honest, these are the birthday parties we have (minus the giant water slide and snow cone maker). We invite the kid's whole family and have a backyard BBQ type party. My son is 5 and I would not feel comfortable dropping him off at a party still. When he is older, sure, but not at 5. Every party he has been invited to, all the parents stay anyway, so I figure might at least let them enjoy themselves and not just stand against a wall of a party room awkwardly. We have adult beverages, plenty of seating, and food for both kids and adults. Kids run through the sprinkler or play on the swing set while the adults relax and talk.

My cousin who goes waaaayyyy overboard for everything hired an actress that looks like Moana to come to her sons 7th birthday party.  She sang the Moana song before they had cake.  I was in the background thinking this is too much lol

Very random indeed, but I am just so thrilled that I am not constipated. It somehow makes the other symptoms easier to swallow (no pun intended).

@lainikins Ah, yes, you make a good point. I didn't think about their age being a factor. I honestly had selfish thoughts at the party, like "I'd want to drop my kid off and get some me time," but it sounds like for older kids that might be the case?

@eggplantface, that is what I hear. In elementary school, leaving the kids seems much more common. That is a bridge I will have to cross soon.

I told H to get pickles at the store yesterday during his normal grocery run. He got "bread and butter" pickles instead of dill. I just tasted one and they're sweet pickles. When he gets home there may be a homicide.

Oh please send fried pickles. This topic is killing me! We found out the sex this week (girl) and I'm starting to feel like she will never get a name. With DS it just came to us so easily and I think we named him the day we found out he was a boy, but I have looked through baby names all week and my short list was dismal. DH didn't like my shortlist and I didn't like his. Errrg. I didn't realize we had such strong opinions about girl names hahaha. Plus we love DSs name so much the pressure is on!

Solidarity love tit because this is us except the opposite. Names for DD came easily. Now this LO is a boy and I'm finding there are very few names that I like. Even fewer that we BOTH like. I feel like this baby will never have a name either!

Here is something super random. I am meeting my biological grandmother for the first time tomorrow. My dad was adopted and just recently decided he wanted to find out who his biological parents were. This has all happened so quickly (or a not so quickly from some perspectives), but she seems like a wonderful and caring women who has been calling my dad daily (sometimes more than daily) to chat and say good night. I am really excited, but super nervous as well.
