  • Just popping in to say great news @Cowboycorgi !!!
  • @Cowboycorgi, WOOHOO!!! Totally missed your post and then started seeing all the feedback! Congrats!!!!! Yaaaaaaay! Grow baby grow!!!
  • Is anyone else taking Diclectin?

I started taking it during my last pregnancy and that ended with baby having Gastroschisis and me miscarrying at 15 weeks.

I've been so back and forth about taking it. But after some hard vomiting last night, I decided to take my dose last night.

I've tried googling for reassurance that there's no link between it and Gastroschisis. But my PGAL brain is convincing myself that this is going to hurt this new LO.
  • @cowboycorgi great updates! So happy for you!

  • @justkeeptrying I think Diclegis is pretty universally recommended by OBs and there is no evidence it poses any risk to the baby. I know the anxiety is hard though.

  • I am freaking out!!

I just got a call from our hospital's ultrasound department telling me to come in for an US today! As requested by my doctor.

My OB hasn't said anything about this. She mentioned doing an US at 12 weeks (not standard here to get an US until 20 weeks) but I'm only 7 weeks right now.

I go for weekly blood draws to check my HCG and the only thing I can think of is that my HCG is dropping.

I've left a message with my OB's office asking WHY I'm having this US but my mind is assuming worst case scenario right now.

    Sorry for the ramble.
  • @justkeeptrying I'm on it - no regrets.
  • @Cowboycorgi excellent news. Keep on shrinking sch and keep on growing baby a.

I've had two MCs, both in the middle of the 7th week, which is where I am now. Although we saw a healthy us yesterday, I will be so happy when I get to week 8. I think that's next Monday.

  • @justkeeptrying Fx you get to see a heartbeat today!
@Cowboycorgi Excellent news! Still have my FX for you and baby A!

Insurance finally gave me the clear for another ultrasound, so I got one scheduled for tomorrow. However, my PGAL brain is getting to me. I just worry I won't see any progress/heartbeat. :s

  • Freaking out a little ladies....

I had a transvaginal u/s this morning and everything looked great. As soon as she removed the wand and I sat up, I was in pain and felt a little crampy. Fast forward 2 hours later, I went to the bathroom and had some streaks of bright red blood when I wiped. I haven't had any more bleeding since, but still feel crampy. Not horribly, but noticeably.

I called the nurse and she honestly sounded distracted and like she just wanted to get home. She said the ultrasound can irritate things and spotting can be normal, but to monitor if any more bleeding or the cramping gets worse.

Please just tell me this can be normal. Ugh I am a mess

@GG620 Absolutely normal for anyone who has had someone fiddling around in their vagina. :) Some people even have a little spotting after a regular pelvic & pap. It's quite common for obstetrical TV ultrasounds for the reasons @sabriel1 mentioned. I can't remember, are you in the vaginal progesterone club? Because that can make it more likely, too. And, if you think about it logically, it's extremely unlikely that you would have an US that looked just fine and then any problem that would involve an applicable bleed that soon after, kwim?

ETA: posted before I was ready
@maureenbioni I know how hard it is to have faith but realistically, the placenta has been ramping up its function and has been taking over. It's normal to start feeling somewhat better by now. Really. I asked my RE last week (8+6) how long I should stay on the progesterone and she told me that truthfully, the placenta has taken over but they keep you on it a while longer to be on the safe side. Straight from her mouth. Placenta is already running the show. As far as a Doppler goes, what will you do if you can't find the HB with it? It can still be tricky at this point and even more so if you have a tilted uterus (which people don't necessarily mention to you). If you do get one, just know that not being able to find it just means that you, with your lack of training, and that Doppler couldn't. It doesn't mean the worst.

@kiki75 yes, you are totally right. And yeah I am in the vaginal progesterone club  ;) and yes it wouldn't make sense to have such a great ultrasound and then something terrible immediately after. I think my PGAL brain just completely went in overdrive. Thank you @kiki75 and @sabrie11 it truly helps so much to have someone who understands just say that that things are probably fine.

It absolutely sucks to be in this club, but I am so happy to be here with all of you

  • @GG620 Yes, the u/s could absolutely irritate your cervix. I would think all is ok especially if the ultrasound looked good! Hugs.
  • @GG620  Hugs lady.  I agree with everyone else  PGAL brain is just a bitch!!

@maureenbioni  I feel the same way.  My next u/s is next Thursday.  I'm so jealous of people who are blissfully unaware.

  • Aw banks ladies.

I also am noticing my waist seems larger. No bump obviously. But I workout a lot and my workout clothes which normally fit pretty snug feel super tight around my lower abdomen. Definitely not as trim as I'm used to seeing it. But then I wonder if it's all in my head? My husband says he sees it when I'm not paying attention that I just look slightly diff. But then I'm like am I imagining it?

Ans then because I'm feeling better I'm nervous. My libido spontaneously returned two Days ago. And I can suddenly tolerate coffee again. I'm 9w5d. Ugh I wish I could go day to day without worrying!!!!!!

maureenbionikiki75 I'm in the vaginal progesterone club too. Dr. said to take through 10 weeks, but then he said within a few days wouldn't make a big difference.

But I also agree about the PGAL brain. Saw a great ultrasound Tues. Today symptoms are less (yesterday was bad) and I was like oh no, is it happening again? But that just paranoia.

    right? right? ;)

Edit: oh and yes, I already don't want to button my pants! But I am  a bit overweight, so any bloating is always like, oh help me.
