Hello Ladies! I want to ask you what your opinion is of our latest IVF plan. Just a little background on us. We are doing IVF because my husband has blocked vas deferens due to hydrocele repairs as a baby. To our knowledge everything looks good on my end. We have already done two rounds of retrievals (1st round: 14 eggs, 13 mature, 7 fertilized, 1 Blast tested abnormal. 2nd round: 16 eggs, 14 mature, 5 fertilized, 1 Blast tested abnormal) and are currently doing our 3rd cycle. It looks like this cycle will give us the lowest number of eggs so far (have about 10 good sized follicles right now) and we started me out with a higher dosage than the previous two. We are aiming for as many eggs as we can get because we have such low fertilization (54% 1st round, 36% 2nd round) due to having to use aspirated testicular sperm. Speaking to our doctor he thinks we should retrieve the eggs from this cycle and freeze them. Then we would go into a 4th cycle and at that retrieval we thaw the eggs from the 3rd cycle and have my husband get a fresh aspiration and fertilize all the eggs from both cycles at the same time. This would help save us some money on our out of pocket expenses but I’m a little worried about working with frozen eggs. Has anyone done something like this or at least used frozen eggs and had good success with them? TIA!
