There seems to be quite a few Canucks on here! Wondering if there would be an interest in a Canadian check-in? I know I've met a few of you through different threads but kinda lost track of who is out there. Might be nice to connect! Thoughts??
@justkeeptrying I'm in Winnipeg all the time. I was just there over the June 24 weekend. Went to the Zoo and Children's museum. My DD is 11 months old and just loved it. My DH was born and raised there.
@scotiagirl, I vote either monthly or weekly. I hate when it's just super long thread. I find it so hard to sift through it all. Plus this way we are reminded to check in if there's a new thread.
@Cowboycorgi my DH is originally from Windsor, ON which is almost a part of Michigan lol. So I'm good with adopting people from your part of 'Canada'!
We actually go over to Michigan a lot when we go back to Windsor - I do find the cross border culture in that area super interesting! My DH says he often feels like he's a combo of Canadian and American where Detroit has such a big influence over Windsor.
@scotiagirl, I have a few friends from London, ON that have said the same thing. They like Michigan because it is just different enough, but still has a taste of home. Although I tricked one once by bringing him to a restaurant that is famous for crazy portion sizes and acting like it was just like every American restaurant.
This is their smallest breakfast. His face was priceless
Sounds like people are in for a weekly check-in! Can try and start it maybe Monday or Tuesday. Seems like there's lots of busy checkins in thursdays and Fridays!
Sounds like an excellent plan ! Maybe we can include if we have found any good deals here ? Sometimes the deals from that thread aren't in Canada too (ie target ) also by time do exchange rate it isn't so much a deal anymore
Re: Canadians Check-in??
I'm in Winnipeg and EDD is March 26th! (Due date buddies @AshleyB09042015)
That still counts @bb3vj3n
I wish Michigan were part of Canada...
@scotiagirl, my birthday is March 30th, it's the best! I have always wanted to live in Nova Scotia, will you adopt me?
