Am I miscarrying?

I had my IUD removed on May 19. I started spotting on May 23 and the spotting continued until the 26. June 22nd I took a pregnancy test which came back positive. Had blood work done at the dr. HCG level was 18.5. Had more blood work done on July 5th and HCG level was over 5400. Had an ultrasound today July 25 and was told they saw the gestational sac but no baby. I'm so confused...are the dates off or is this the beginning of a miscarriage? I have 1 daughter who just turned 5 and she was delivered by a c-section so could the scare tissue be a problem? I need answers and have none right now. So please help! I also have had no bleeding or anything. Very mild cramping but it only lasted a few hours. A

It could have been too early to see a yolk sac especially if you aren't sure when you ovulated. The only way to know for sure is to wait another couple weeks and get another ultrasound
