Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Weekly blood draws and a sonogram

Any concerns/news currently? I had 2 issues but just heard that I only have one now! My placenta moved, so no more previa. 

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now? Keeping my platelets above 100K!

@sbl0609 that is awesome news! I also have low platelets. Last week they were sitting at 108K but no one has mentioned they are concerned.  They are normally lower than the normal range but I have never seen them this low.

Any concerns/news currently?
I am no longer anemic!  My count came back into the normal range over the past month.
GTKY: What are three things on your bucket list?
1. Skydive
2. Vacation in Alaska
3. Live in a small old country house with tons of land and woods when we retire preferably somewhere in Canada

@JustBored10, for me to get an epidural they have to be above 100. They were 109 last week and now I'm on steroids, they were 114 this week, so I'm hopeful they stay up. Good luck!

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
My first NST and drs visit. Not sure what to expect with the NST.

Any concerns/news currently?
Nervous about the NST and hoping my numbers stay as good as they are. I also keep losing weight. I now only have 4pds to go until I am at my prepregnacy weight. My doctors aren't concerned but it feels odd to me.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?

1 - Stay at the Disney Hawaiian resort with the family
2- Travel to Ireland with DH
3- Drive cross country planning fun stops

Why are you high-risk? Obesity, Age, GD, She is breech currently 

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Dr. Appointment to just do a check and get my NST's scheduled. 

Any concerns/news currently? Not really. My GD is doing pretty good with the insulin I am on. 

GTKY: What are three things on your bucket list? Travel to Ireland/Scotland, Have a happy/healthy baby, Get my house clean and organized (and clutter gone rather than just tucked away) before baby arrives.

short cervix, suspected placental abruption

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
weekly biophysical profile ultrasound and OB appt on Friday

Any concerns/news currently?
I'm now up to 4 whole days without spotting of any color...I'll take this small victory!

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
No more bleeding/spotting, that baby stays put until at least 36 weeks and hopefully longer

1)Visit all 50 states (I'm up to about 35 now)
2)Visit London
3)Visit Yellowstone National Park

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Tuesday NST tests and Friday biophysicals

Any concerns/news currently?
15 days without even a little spotting! Also, in 2 weeks we get to schedule my induction!!!!! She said since everything is going so well she wants to check my cervix that day and hopefully schedule at 37 full weeks, I CANT WAIT 

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
  Just that everything keeps going the way it's headed! No one expected this, even the doctor admitted she was surprised today. It really is a miracle so far.

@Breath_Easy92, great news! I'm scheduled for 37 weeks exactly. Since I also have a short cervix, it's possible I could go into labor earlier, but hopefully not until at least 36 weeks. I have an OB appt the afternoon before my induction, so I'll get my cervix checked then to get an idea of how things might go the next day.

@Rhubarb7216 we are getting so close I really hope you and baby make it to 36 weeks but we are really starting to get securely in the safe zone now. I don't know about you but I find it a huge relief.

@sbl0609 I'm glad no more previa! Dealing with those platelets is nerve-wracking - I hope they stay up!

@cchenal07 Ireland! Also, it is odd that you're losing weight but did you start out overweight? Maybe you're just eating healthier and you're going to be fabulous after baby is born!

Why are you high-risk? Type 1 DM, MTHFR 

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I have another high risk scan on Friday, and this Monday I have my OB ultrasound and endocrinologist. It seems weird to have ultrasounds so close together, but they assured me they want that because frequent checks on the placental blood flow.

Any concerns/news currently? I am feeling more painful kicks in my ribs and sides, hoping baby is no longer breech! 

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now? My sanity and ability to keep working. 4 weeks left!

GTKY: What are three things on your bucket list? I'd like to visit Ireland/Scotland, see the Aurora Borealis, and go back to Antigua.

Yes I started out a little over weight. After I found out about GD at 24 weeks and strickly following the diet I have been losing every week. I ask about it at every visit and they just told me to keep up the diet and they will start to worry if it is more than two pds a week average. My plan after baby is to mostly keep the diet going and hopefully look amazing after baby haha.

@Breath_Easy92, yes I feel less anxious now that I've made it to 34 weeks. I certainly don't want baby to come now because I'd rather he has more time to grow and develop and I still have stuff to finish up at work before he comes, but I feel better knowing that if he did come now, he'd be ok. Yes, some NICU time, but hopefully not too much. When I get to 36 I'll really feel great!

@cchenal07 Congrats on the weight loss! I know losing weight during pregnancy seems odd, but it definitely a good sign that the GD diet is working!

Any concerns/news currently?
Everything has been going well so far. It's been almost two weeks since my last BP check-in. So hopefully that still looks good at my OB appointment Friday.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?

@cchenal07 I keep laughing because I am 4 pounds (and have been consistently since around 2nd trimester) above pre pregnancy weight (though 14 pounds over pre ivf weight). So not impacted by the GD diet at all. Even now that she is likely weighing 3 pounds and my boobs and my tummy are huge...and still just the same old 4 pounds (which went down to 2 1/2 at the last dr appointment). I was plus size though to start so I guess I had more to grow into.  That's awesome that the GD diet is helping you feel great! 

Does anyone in the group know when they will be having a c-section or induction or are most people just waiting to see what happens? Also is anyone feeling less kicks or softer kicks these days? I feel like the bigger she has gotten the more subtle her movement has been and less often.

As I mentioned else where I am having a RCS on Sept 15th. It will be exactly at 39 weeks. Obviously it could happen sooner, but it was nice to get it scheduled so I can start the paperwork process for maternity leave. At my 30 wk appointment my doctor, DH, and I confirmed my birth plan and that I am also getting a tubel ligation. So she just asked if I wanted to go ahead and schedule so I could pick my day while the calender was open. However I knowingly have to keep in mind that I am having weekly NSTs and anything can happen. If you want to plan ahead it never hurts to ask and if you want certain things in your birthplan I would start bringing it up now.

cchenal07  exciting to know the date (unless bebe decides they want to come earlier)! Sept 15th seems like a great day to be born!  

A lot of our birth plan (which haven't done anything formally) is in the control of the DR and the nst's etc. Based on how big she is growing, my dr suspects I have a narrow birth canel and that I may not be able to to birth a bigger baby...and for sure not a breech baby (which she has been pretty much every time we have had an ultrasound), and how my GD is doing. We initially didn't expect to have a c-section on the agenda but now it seems very possible. The Dr. won't induce or do C-sections before 39 weeks though unless our NST's are bad or if their is another issue...so at least based on a plan we won't be having this kiddo for another 8 weeks (unless she decides to go earlier).

Those were all the reasons we had to have a csection with my 1st! I waited until the final growth scan at 38 wks to confirm that he was still huge and breeched before deciding. I had him at exactly 39 wks and he was 9lbs 1oz. I was happy with my decision. You can always request one more scan to confirm right before to make sure you are making the best choice for you.

@BecauseLove I'll be scheduling my induction date soon it'll be the week of aug 14 more than likely. I asked if she thought I'd need a CS due to all the issues I've had and his 97 percentile head and she told me even though I'm a small person (about 5'3", 120 lbs, and little boned) that she thinks he will fit no problem. Sooo I'm not sure what to take away from that haha. But she did say he does have quite the noggin.
also I totally called my doc about the gentler kicks and things and she said that baby is running out of room and it's the frequency not strength she's concerned with.

I'm having my RCS on August 25th (38 weeks). With the possibility/likelihood of it being moved to 37 weeks!

@BecauseLove I'm scheduled for an induction at 37 weeks on the dot (8/11) due to suspected placental abruption. Hoping there isn't a need for a c-section. Coming up really soon!

So exciting you guys! Some of you are so close to having an outside baby not an inside baby. Hard to believe that time has gone so fast! 

I just got all my NST/BPP's scheduled and my future Dr appointments too. Lots going on in the upcoming weeks. Looks like maybe baby has moved from being breech but won't know for sure until ultrasound next week. Does anyone get nervous that you could go to a Dr appointment and they could say today is the day/or right now is delivery time?

@BecauseLove I worry about that every time I go in. My doctor said if my BP jumps back up we will be delivering right away, so getting through that initial weigh in and BP check is so nerve wracking each week.

@BecauseLove I definitely have that feeling all the time!  When I was pregnant with DS I had already made a few trips to the hospital for extra monitoring due to high BP.  So every time I walk in I convince myself that I'm going to have high blood pressure and I'm going on my way. 

But so far I have had super normal BP and everything is looking really great!  FX for all of us that it stays this way!

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
on Monday an implant was put on my arm to see where my spike is because my after meal numbers are fine but my A1C went up a little.  I go back Monday to have it removed and see the results.  Both non-stress tests this week were great!  She did her thing fast, which is totally different from my pregnancy with DS.  Fluid level is good, woohoo

@Sugargirl1019 I know it's crazy! Really exciting and a little scary at the same time. 14 days total, 9 work days, and 2 weekends - eek!

I had my 34 week growth scan, and will now have twice a week ultrasounds. Biggest news: she's head down!!! All looks good with the umbilical cord blood flow and placenta, and she's 59th percentile weighing 5 lbs 10 ounces.

I am on full fledged bed rest following today's doctor appointment. My BP decided to be crazy again (180s/103); so the doctor wants me to limit activity as much as possible. LO is still head down which is good. I just need my BP to go down and stay down, or else we will be heading over to L&D at our next check-in. At least we will be able to make it to 34 weeks (and hopefully the full 37 the MFM will allow) before the induction.
