This insomnia is killing me. I'm so tired, but I can't sleep. DS woke up Sunday morning at 4:30 crying for me and wouldn't go back to sleep till he got in bed with us. DH was snoring so guess who didn't sleep after that. Last night DH slept with DS and at 3:30 I wake up to screaming. DH was either asleep or flat ignoring it. So they both come get in our bed after DS stopped arguing with himself what room he wanted to be in. Cue DH snoring again. I must've been awake for an hour or more, then got woke up by DS getting ready for work. At 7 DS kicked me in the face twice. It's like once I'm awake I can't fall back asleep. The smallest noises wake me up.
Saturday was really rough for me. My body just didn't want to do much of anything and I was sooo sore. Thankfully yesterday and today (so far) are better. My feet and hands swelled up yesterday though and it actually cooled off outside. Constipated yesterday, fine today. I feel like it's a rollercoaster ride of symptoms anymore. I never know how I'm going to feel day to day so I make zero plans just in case.

@aehogan90 TMI from me as well, Ive had plenty of loose stool over the past few weeks. And I know that it can be a sign of labor starting, so every time I go, I have a mini panic attack thinking something might be starting. Its not . . .
I walked a ton this weekend with DH. Pokemon Go had a huge event, and DH and I are nerds, so we played that the whole weekend. Saturday was hot, but yesterday was beautiful (only about 72 and cool sea breeze). We played for hours, so now im recovering at home, while working. I am wicked stiff, but it was so nice to get out of the house! I also think that little dude may have finally dropped a bit. I was much hungrier and able to eat a bit more than I have the last few weeks. I dont have a ton of pelvic pressure though, so I think hes still rather high. I also thought I might have felt a contraction or two over the weekend, but I dont really know. One felt very menstrual crampy, and then the other was a more intense BH contraction. I only had one each day, but it made me wonder.

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
My emotions and anxiety are all over the place since this weekend. On Friday, I had my 36 week growth ultrasound and all went well with the ultrasound. But, I hate going to MFM and had a 140/90 bp reading due to my anxiety. Instead of taking it again, they sent me to L&D to get checked out where I had two more high bp readings, which makes sense to me since I was anxious as heck. While I'm hooked up to the NST, baby decided to make things interesting by either rolling or grabbing it's cord and cutting off its blood flow for seconds. All of a sudden, we have three nurses in the room along with a scrubber in OB. Terrifying to say the least!!! All was fine, but we were there for 3 hours.
However, they diagnosed me as gestational hypertension and gave me an induction date of 7/30. I see my OB on Tuesday to see if she wants to follow that and I'm freaking out to say the least!
Also, if you read that entire message, god bless you. I'm a hot mess about all of this.
@megaroo42 deep breaths, mama! I think it's good you'll be able to discuss it with your regular OB and hopefully express the snowball effect that day had on you.
Between the "every pregnancy is different" knowledge and the wide variety of symptoms that could point to different things, I'm just swinging between acceptance that Baby will come whenever and irritation at false alarms. Menstrual cramps? Labor or RLP! Loose stool? Labor or I ate a lot of fiber. Back pain? Labor or my back just hurts because this huge-ass ball on my front just keeps growing. Spicy food? Nothing. Thunderstorm? Nothing. Full moon? Nothing. Baby kicking the shit out of me like usual? Check.
At 38+4 this could legit happen any moment and I'm reading so much into every little twinge in my body. And of course, as I write this, I feel 100% normal. (I'm about an hour post-coffee too so I'm even wide awake! That'll last for only one more hour though, then back to normal fatigue.)
I feel so many things that make me think labor is starting. Yet here I am at 38+4 today. I'm not even reading into it anymore. Just waiting til 8/3 induction. Yesterday I did some laundry and sweeping and my back about gave out. So little activity so much pain. At least I only have 5 more work shifts left
@megaroo42 I'm surprised they didn't let you rest and relax before reassessing. My BP is always 140s/90s at my appts. Sometimes they will reassess after a bit and it's normal. But I tell them I check at work and I'm 110s-70s so all is fine. Is there anyway you can check your own BP at home? I think CVS and other pharmacies have monitors you can buy, as well as monitors there to use.
@megaroo42 Im sorry you are feeling so anxious! FX talking with your OB will help calm those nerves.

@littlebug2010 thanks! I'm really hoping that my OB will understand that I want at least two more weeks until I'm 39 weeks to induce.
@brookedeyo I'm hoping that I can do that! I'm willing to come in twice a week for appts. if they'd like me to, plus monitoring at home.
@mrsmatt1212 thanks for the deep breathing reminder. It's amazing how I've wanted to have baby out for a while but now that a date is imminent, I feel the opposite! Haha
Constipation is a b*#!%! I'm on a daily prune juice and activia cocktail to help move things along. Otherwise I feel normal like she'll never come (only 37+1 so she's got a good bit of time). I've had stiff fingers and some irregular pelvic pain. Maybe 3 or 4 irregular menstrual type cramps over the last week. Pretty uneventful. DH is away for work until Wednesday so she needs to stay in there anyway. Growth scan on Wednesday so we'll see! I feel like she moves way too well to be huge lol
I can't believe we're all in the final countdown. Ready to see some baby photos!!!!!
Lots and lots of back and rib pain. Sitting down is so painful. Feels like a mix between a burning sensation and sharp pains. Also lots of BH still. Sometimes they are pretty regular (every 6 or 7 min) for maybe an hour or 2 but they never get closer together or more painful. Also started to notice stiff fingers as well.
@cmmiller531 is stiff fingers a sign of something or just a symptom you're experiencing? I started having the WEIRDEST symptom about a week ago. When I wake up, my right ring finger gets caught if I try and straighten it. (See picture). I have to concentrate really hard to get it to straighten, and then it pops up! It takes a few times for it to start working normally, and this only happens when I sleep, every time. I don't sleep on my hand either. So weird! Assuming it's the swelling messing with ligaments, but it's weird that it's only one finger, one hand.
@DeansGirl14 I am on the is it labor or anything else train! Last week she had not dropped and I was not dilated at all, so I am anxiously awaiting my Weds afternoon apt to see if things have changed. I think she is lower- but everyone says you know when they have dropped and I don't think I am there yet. But every little thing I am like 'are we getting closer'...Least we are pretty much ready.

@smallbutmighty77 The doctor had to tell me I had dropped. One day I woke up feeling heavier out front, but my breathing wasn't any easier. Others had said "oh you can tell" from the heaviness and breathing but honestly I wasn't sure! If you think she's lower, great, and I hope the doctor confirms for you. I wasn't dilated last week either.
I had my 34 week appointment Friday the 21st and the doctor checked and I was already 3cm dilated (TTM)....crazy early. Granted, no joke I was dilated to a 6 walking around with my other two before I actually went into labor, nothing new for me. But they wanted to see me back this week to see if I had moved any. If I have they will more than likely put me on bed rest for a couple of weeks to let him hopefully cook a little longer, makes me so nervous because of the two little's I already have, but relived in way because its hard to move since he is engaged and so far down. I honestly just want a healthy happy baby so whatever it takes, but I sure hope its not hospital bed rest and I can be home with my kids.
@mrsmatt1212 That looks like trigger finger. I do not have any experience myself but it looks like it can be caused by swelling along the tendons. Pregnancy causes all sorts of weird hand symptoms. Hopefully it goes away for you soon!

The physical act of crossing my legs is killing me (assuming it's because baby is getting lower -2 station last week apparently)...
which would be fine to not cross them- but it's the only way I can use my laptop at work-- leaning over to type on a table makes it so I can't breathe.
I think I have a case of the whine-ies today... and a baby in my pelvis.
Every other night this week, about an hour after going to bed I wake up and throw up...wtf?! least I'm close to the bathroom but it sucks. Plus I'm a temperature disaster at night, cold, hot, sweaty, freezing. Sooo fun.

It is getting very uncomfortable now. I am sleep deprived. In the mornings I am starting to throw up again and hips on down are killing me. I just keep telling myself I am almost there few more weeks but some days I feel like I am going to have this baby anytime soon.
I'm such a grouch! I get grumpy for having to pee so frequently, having to put on a bra, having to see my terrible coworkers. The only one I'm not grouchy towards is my dog!
Feeling achy and almost flu-ish yesterday and today. It's turning me into super grump and I'm hoping it's some sort of pre-labor rather than me actually getting sick!

+1 for this, however, DH has become legitimately sick with a cold. I'm praying my headache is a normal preggo symptom and not whatever's become wrong with him. He's staying away from me and I disinfected all our surfaces today. He went right to Minute Clinic too to get checked out (make sure strep wasn't developing or something).
I thought symptom spotting was bad when TTC, but I'm doing it all over again with labor signs (and I'm only 36 weeks). Constipation switches to diarrhea? Heartburn suddenly disppears? I can breathe now? All of a sudden I have lightning crotch? CLEARLY I'm about to have a baby, people.
@SpotConlon discharge is insane!!!! I've been wearing pads and in a few cases thought it was part of my mucus plug!
@mrsmatt1212 the labor symptom spotting is awful. I've had the same with like diarrhea, crotch pain, and even had some period cramps, but nothing that indicated labor. I'm 38 weeks, and I just feel like every time I feel something strange it must be labor.

@SpotConlon I highly suggest wearing panty liners if you aren't already. I have to change them a couple to few times a day but saves me doing more laundry.

@bumpybump I usually wear pantyliners in the morning when I usually have tons of discharge, but to the rest of the day without because I hate how they feel when I already have a sweaty crotch. I may have to just suck it up though
Feels good to know that everything I've been feeling is normal! Pelvic pain, baby has dropped but not dilated, lower back pain, period like cramp contractions at night when in bed, insomnia... Just had my 38 week appointment today and I've officially gained 50 pounds which I'm pretty upset about. And, my belly is so heavy it hurts to roll over in bed!
