Testing: I'm waiting for AF to show, but I may get weak towards the end of this week.
R/R: I'm posting early this morning because I'm work. I'm a public Librarian so night and weekends are a normal part of the job. My dog is doing ok, but I start giving her a steroid tomorrow which I'm nervous about. I had to take her off another med and give it a few days before we could start the steroid. The painkiller and muscle relaxer she's on right now are making her act like a puppy which is not cool. I'm constantly trying to get her to calm down/stop taking flying leaps off the platform deck etc...

GTKY: what's your favorite quote, lyric or poem? (Please share)
This poem was read by my Aunt at my wedding. Love the sentiment "I carry your heart. I carry it in my heart." when I think of MH.
R/R: woke up at 6am to go pee, and the whole house was dark, and then I felt huge squish beneath my foot: my dog had pooped a large, soft poop right in my path to the bathroom. So then I had to hop on one foot to wash my foot while trying not to pee myself with the water running, and then I had to try to find where my mom keeps the cleaning supplies, etc. Le sigh.

GTKY: what's your favorite quote, lyric or poem? (Please share)
Testing: negative yesterday, temp back down to my coverline today. It's our first month, and I really didn't expect to be that lucky, but I didn't anticipate just how much those negatives sting.
R/R: DH and I saw the new Planet of the Apes movie and it wasn't very good, which was disappointing because I liked the first two.

@jaylii good luck with your dog. I hope the meds work!
@mileswithmyles Thanks you, and I love your Elenor Roosevelt quote, I tell students something like that all the time - that might have to go up on the classroom wall!
@jaylii, I work at a public library too! I've avoided a nights/weekend schedule so far but I have a feeling it's coming. I hope your dog calms down a bit for you!
@hedgepig, I like those William Blake lines a lot! His tiger poem is my favorite of his, though.

R/R: Went on a Target run with my mom this morning but am now back home curled up with my cat on the couch. We have a big trip coming up, so I need to be productive pretty soon! But snuggling with the cat is also a high priority agenda item.
CS/Q: Nope, I had a nice high temp this morning and got all excited, then did the "chart overlay" on FF and saw that my temp is exactly where it always is at 7 DPO. Oh, well.
GTKY: I have a lot, but I especially like Tolkien's "not all who wander are lost." Both because I like travel and because I took a fairly indirect path to where I am now in life. I like thinking that the time spent "wandering" was positive time too.
R/R: STILL dealing with my wrecked car. Yesterday’s shenanigan’s
was getting a power of attorney document signed and notarized without filling
it out (would be buyer’s info apparently but don’t know buyer yet…?) and then
send that blank document with my signature in the mail with my title to some
address. Uhhhh… no. Good thing that BMV was like wtf we are not notarizing that
or I wouldn’t have thought twice about it because I don’t know any better.
CS/Q: Holy temp drop batman! This can’t be AF 6 days early, can
it?! I temped 30 min early and it was a bit cold but that’s still a huge drop
for only those things. It is an open circle.
@justkeepswimming8 not to contribute to symptom spotting but a temp drop like that could be implantation drop? But I've also seen that in non-PG charts so..... fingers crossed it's the former??
@doxiemoxie212 and @mileswithmyles - implantation dip has definitely crossed my mind (especially since I've been feeling some pinching feelings since yesterday) but I'm trying not to get too excited about it lol. The only things I could think of is that I temped 30 min early, i woke up bundled up even though normally I am sweating when I wake up and I had a glass of wine at dinner. Also, it could just be a fluke temp from my thermometer. Only time will tell. It'll make waiting to test until at least Friday way harder now.

@justkeepswimming8 my fingers are crossed for you! It's boarderline impossible not to analyze every little thing, so here's hoping this is your month.
@mileswithmyles it's good to hear that sometimes bfps don't happen until further into the TWW, I've seen so many people get them at like 9dpo, it's easy to get discouraged early on.
I'm trying not to be bummed about the temp drop, because this is still one of my longest lps, and I've been trying to lengthen them for almost a year. I just wish AF would come so I could stop hoping against hope.
I feel like it might take us a while - DH has been training for a mountain biking race for the last two months, and I understand that takes a toll on the swimmers. Hopefully he eases off next month!
R/R: Rant - it was way too hot to go to the farmer's market yesterday. Rave - We live in a pretty rural area so my parents have a large garden and we have a small one. We picked a big bowl of green beans from ours and then mom brought over a giant zucchini and two cucumbers!

@peppersmith22 don't let me dissuade you, it wasn't horrible, and there were some funny parts, but it was pretty brutal/violent, and a LOT of the movie was subtitled grunting, which was sort of visually weird.
@jaylii, good luck with your dog! @doxiemoxie212, what s horrible start to the day! @peppersmith22, my parents garden, and it is amazing. I am currently staying with them and it is awesome to walk in the yard and get dinner.

@Augusta108 You're lucky that you aren't working nights and weekends. Are you in a public service position or admin/something not working with customers? Every public library I know public service staff works nights and weekends. Where I work there's a staff rotation for weekends and we try to spread out the nights too so it's not too bad. The advantage of working nights and weekends is that I get the time somewhere else. Like I'm now off Sunday and Monday because I worked yesterday. Man I love running errands mid-day on a weekday!
@jaylii, I primarily do cataloging/processing. Our Technical Services department was a separate department dedicated to just behind the scenes work when I started, and everybody in the department had a regular M-F schedule. Thanks to budget cuts they combined us with another department a few years ago, and now I do work the Reference Desk and do other things like displays and readers' advisory...but they haven't made the original Technical Services staff switch to a nights and weekends schedule yet. Since the library is still understaffed, though, I think it's probably coming.
I have always thought the plus side of working weekends would be getting to run errands on weekdays!
