The Mayo Clinic book I read said there is no evidence that the trace amount of dye that would get into your system would have any effect on a baby. But it's certainly up to personal discretion.
Hope its ok if I detail the thread instead of posting a new one....but since we're talking about hair...What about getting hair straightened in first trimester??
@barrelocarol if you mean like a Brazilian blowout or something like that I'd definitely check...I believe I've heard that's not a good idea but I'm not sure!!

@BWhitta Was thinking the same thing! I keep hearing to essentially do nothing in the first trimester but was wondering if anyone had straightened their hair.
