Not much going on for me this week. Starting our TI for my fertile days. In the mean time, I have been doing lots of research on IVF clinics for us....starting to get things narrowed down. I am hoping DH and I can have a decision by the end of the week so I can call and get an initial consult set up.
QOTW: I don't really know if I have a favorite "lets get in the mood" song. We usually just throw on a Pandora station.
2. What is your diagnosis? unexplained infertility
3. What is your current Rx plan? just started Clomid (50mg); doing first IUI in a couple weeks.
QOTW: Favorite "let's get in the mood" song I'm not sure...we have never really had music playing. Maybe we should.

@GoldenKeys I guess my info has slightly changed. Dx: endo Rx: timed intercourse for 3 cycles then ?. Thanks!
I had my Re appointment yesterday and he just recommends TI now that my endo is temporarily gone. So we will do that for about 3 cycles and if nothing happens we will revisit the plan moving forward. He said before my surgery we had about 3-4% of a chance each cycle and now that he removed endo we should have about 7-8% of a chance. Not the best numbers but at least it's better than before.
DH and I almost never listen to music during sexy naked time, lol. Not sure why, we both like music. Maybe music will make my eggs happy...could be worth a shot. Haha
Hugs to everyone this week! I know I could use them!

Happened about an hour ago. I had a dream Saturday night that I was having a miscarriage. My grandmother who passed away in 2009 told me she had come to take our baby home. It will help me find some peace, but for now I am devestated. I know I couldn't prevent it, but I still somehow feel guilty. I just wanted to thank you all for your support, I am so glad to be part of this board.

Oh, @eranvo27, I'm so, so sorry that you are going through this
@hoffmanr7 good luck finding a clinic! I saw your post on the IF board, and I second the suggestion someone made about Fertility IQ.
Side note: I learned about Fertility IQ from the Beat Infertility podcast. Just to throw it out there to everyone, if you haven't listened to or heard of the Beat Infertility podcast, I highly recommend it! They discuss soo many topics and I have found it to be really helpful personally.
@MooFish2364 I hope that removing the endo is what does it for you!!
AFM, just WTO. We are all natural this cycle thanks to the cyst. I actually pulled my BBT out of my nightstand drawer and it made me a little sad to have to go back to that. It was nice doing a monitored cycle and not having to worry about stupid OPKs and BBT. Oh well.
QOTW: I don't think we have ever listened to music during sexy naked time either (sexy naked time - that made me lol @MooFish2364.)
@eranvo27 I am so sorry to hear that. How heartbreaking.
@Kim41313 I hope removing the endo does the trick for us as well! My DH came up wth that phrase. He will ask me if we can have sexy naked time later. Lol
@eranvo27 I wish there was something I could say to make this pain even a little less. Try not to feel guilty or blame yourself because there was nothing you could have done to differently. One day it won't hurt as much but you just need a little time. Sending you lots of positive thoughts!

Qotw we dont listen to music during. We live in an apartment and our cranky old neighbor below us has super sonic hearing and calls the complex manager to complain about the noise if she can hear us bd or walking or talking or existing. So we gotta keep it short boring and quiet until we find a new place to move to and are no longer worried about landlord evicting us for our mattress squeaking. However when he sings along to the radio in the car to die a happy man, body like a back road or anything blake shelton im ready to jump his bones.
Thank you everyone. I know there was nothing I could do, the doc even confirmed it was inevitable because my numbers weren't rising. Still I struggle with this unfounded guilt of "if only I did..." SO is sad too but hey, we conceived! That is the silver lining and a step in the right direction considering it has been a year since I've even had a period!

@eranvo27 - I'm so sorry. @fluffybookworm - I'm not a country fan, but I really like Body Like a Backroad. LOL.
AFM: it has been an eventful few days!
Yesterday was day 5 for our embryos, and we got a call that only one had made it to blast. Because we had 9 embryos at day 3, I was pretty disappointed. Crestfallen even. The lab said they'd watch the slow growers overnight, but that sometimes when they're growing slowly, it's because they're starting to shut down.
Up until day 3, the embryo development is largely determined by the oocyte, so I (of course) started reading up heavily on all the things that could possibly be wrong with my husband's semen that would explain why 8 of our embryos hadn't made it, and decided that he was going to need to make some serious lifestyle changes, even though men less healthy than him knock women up all the time... Basically, I completely panicked, and was convinced that the worst had happened.
DH was like: "Honey, calm down! We don't know yet!" and I was like: "OMG, I still have pains in my left side, we've been trying for 2 years, I've wept every week for the past year, I'm hopped up on hormones, I have a polyp I need to remove, every crack whore in the country gets pregnant, and our embryos are actively dying and you're telling me to calm down?"
I woke up every 2 hours last night, I was so anxious, and just prayed that at least one more embryo would make it to blast. Like, just one.
The wait between day 5 and day 6 is not a joke!
Then they called this morning, day 6, and 3 of the other embryos pulled through overnight and made it to blast, and I just felt like: "Thank God."
So, we have 4 blastocysts on ice, and I feel such a profound sense of relief and just so extremely thankful.
@funkykey phew! What an emotional rollercoaster! I'm so happy that you had more make it. That's wonderful, and all it takes is just one to stick! I can't wait until your transfer. I don't blame you for being up all night...I know I'd be the same way.
@funkykey PHEW!!! What a relief that a couple of the others pulled through!! That wait sounds absolutely terrifying. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I refused to get my fertilization report (told the embryologist to call my husband and then I hung up on her). I didn't want to deal with the anxiety! And I wasn't planning on hearing my blastocyst report, but my husband dropped hints that it wasn't so bad.
Anyway, now look, we both have four! Hopefully four is a lucky number.
Me - 35 (DH - 33). TTC since May 2015. Saw RE in July 2016. 11/16: IUI #1= BFN. 1/17: IUI #2 = BFN. 5/17: IVF #1. 'long lupron' protocol. E2 = 4800, 'freeze-all', 8R, 7M, 4F, 4B. 8/17: FET #1. Thus far - 'unexplained'.
Hi I'm also new here and really trying to make sense of all the options. It's good to know we're not alone and I've learnt so much from reading what you all write, so thanks so much for sharing. I'm sending good vibes to you all.
I'm 38 and DH is 40, together 3 years, so met a little late in life for all this and I never tried before. I'm a Brit living in Germany and understanding the slightly different language and abbreviations used here can be an extra challenge.
1. How long TTC - officially 1.5 years naturally, though NTNP for 1 year before that 2. Diagnosis - RE not willing to put a name on it yet as I've only had one FSH reading on day 5 (I'm difficult to get blood out of!) which was 17, with 3 large follicles visible on day 5 (without meds) on my last 3 cycles. Really need a day 3 but no chance on a Sunday in Germany! I'm further complicated as I have rheumatoid arthritis so autoimmune issues are known already. 3. Current plan - want to see FSH and AMH from day 3 as well as another US, plus doing extra test in DH to decide if go for standard IVF or ICSI and decide what to do so don't fry the eggs but still get enough for ER etc. I was pretty naive until our last appointment but since joining here and spending a few days on Dr Google I'm armed with pages of questions and options!
So so basically the Dr thinks we have some trouble with egg quantity, egg quality, hostile cervix for sperm, implantation and auto immune... so like a walking experiment!
DH thinks it will all magically work... I'm the pessimist. No idea how we will manage all the procedures and appointments and cope with me on the mess etc as I work in a male dominated environment, quite senior, normally with a lot of travel... And nobody knows IRL as we are far from our families and close friends...
phew sorry - was longer than I planned!

@hannahice - welcome! I don't have PCOS, but a few women here do, and there have been some who've had really uplifting stories!! It can happen!
@emmasemm - welcome! Ugh. I met my H when I was 29, and I totally see how that might not have happened until I was 35. It sucks that not everyone meets the right person when they're 23. :P Hoping lots of good things for you and that you have your baby soon!
Also, as for the work stress... ugh. At my work, I always try to remember - if I don't put myself and my family first, my work is never going to do that for me. Plus, if I don't have kids, I swear I'm going to retire next year! I don't need a house and a yard and dealing with office BS. A family means longevity for my employer!
I've told one person at my work about our struggles, but for everyone else, if it's come up, I've said: "I'm dealing with a recurring medical problem." They don't need to know it's a recurring problem with my reproductive organs.
@funkykey - thanks a lot. I'm pretty private normally and already didn't like that I ended up explaining all about my rheumatoid arthritis - but did it only after diagnosis. With this where the outcome is so uncertain I really don't want questions every day... but with all the time out for appointments everyone is going to think I'm totally slacking!
How does everyone handle that with co-workers or bosses?
Also we just received some extra appointments from the clinic today (online system) so I guess it means they have a plan now I need to wait 3 weeks to find out what that is when the doctor is back from vacation. This is going to feel like a long time... once we have a plan and i can focus step by step I am hoping that will help as I'm definitely a little bit of a control freak!!!

No idea how we will manage all the procedures and appointments and cope with me on the mess etc as I work in a male dominated environment, quite senior, normally with a lot of travel... And nobody knows IRL as we are far from our families and close friends...
phew sorry - was longer than I planned!

Good luck!
