    How far along are you?
    32+5

    Why are you high-risk?
GD, pre-e, medical history of DS

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
    NST Thursday/Monday.

    Any concerns/news currently?
yesterday I had a day full of appointments, started with my GD nurse, had a sensor put in to track my blood glucose 24/7 to see where my spike is even though my after meal numbers are fine.  Sensor fell out last night so I'm still waiting to hear back as to when I'm going into have it put in again.

then I went on to my growth scan, baby girl is in the 90th + percentile weighing in at 5 pounds 14 ounces.  Belly size spiked a little this scan.  She's been in the 90th %tile practically this whole pregnancy.  I personally think they have my due date off by 6-10 days but I can't see that making a huge difference.  So the MFM recommended delivery at 38 weeks.  I go back for another scan in 3 weeks to possibly decide to take her out at 37 weeks.  I'm freaking out a little, very anxious to see my OB on Thursday to discuss with them.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
that baby girl has a safe delivery and is healthy.  DS was born and got very sick and had a lot of issues that we never knew about.  Really don't want a repeat although they assure us that we have a better chance of winning the lotto.

GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
manatees!  They are such gentle animals and peaceful!

Why are you high-risk? short cervix, suspected placental abruption

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Thursday I have a biophysical profile/growth scan ultrasound followed by OB appt.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Trying to not get freaked out every time I see brown spotting (which happens about every other day) since my OB keeps telling me it's fine as long as it's not red.
Counting down the days until my induction at 37 weeks (24 more!).

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
That baby stays in there until at least 36 weeks; no more bleeding

GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
I love sea otters because they're just so cute!

    Why are you high-risk?
    Gd

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? No, NST everyweek starting next week.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
Baby stays around there and not any bigger.
GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
Red pandas... They are just adorable and I would keep one if I could.

    Why are you high-risk?  GD

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Nope! We had a growth ultrasound last week and everything was looking good (66th percentile), so they won't do anything else until the end of the month.

    Any concerns/news currently?
After two weeks of pretty stable numbers, I've started to see some of my dinner numbers creep up over 120. I know that her placenta is producing more progesterone as we near 32 weeks, but it's still demoralizing. Meals that were safe the previous week just aren't any more. I'm tightening my diet up further and hopefully that will fix everything, but the guilt from those higher numbers is intense.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
DH is leaving for a conference today (booked before baby news) and won't be back until next Tuesday. I'm going to stay with my parents in Austin, just in case, but I'm really paranoid about something happening while I'm there. Good thoughts about both baby and my body staying stable for the next week would be very appreciated.

GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
Bats! They're just so cute, like little flying foxes. They also remind me of home, since Austin has one of the largest urban colonies in North America under the Congress Bridge.

Why are you high-risk? Type 1 DM, MTHFR

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? I had my OB and ultrasound on Monday. Next high risk growth scan is next Friday.

    Any concerns/news currently?
I had glucose in my urine for the first time ever this appointment. I was disappointed but knew I deserved it for eating cereal right before I left. I could feel my blood sugar jumping up and knew that was going to happen. No protein though. BP was good. Blood flow in placenta good. She is still frank breech and had her toes in her mouth. Crazy girl!

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
That blood flow remains good to the placenta and insulin keeps taking care of my blood sugar like it should!

GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
Stingrays!!! They are so cool to watch fly through the water!  I swam with them twice and I love trying to "ride them haha. Holding them is fun too! They are just so neat. Love the big soft grey ones!

Why are you high-risk? AMA, Obesity, Gestational Diabetes, narrow passage way for baby

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Yep! I started working with a GD dr...and got put on insulin. Also transferred care to a new OB group based on being high risk. In some ways it was a blessing as it got me really scheduled ahead with someone that is willing to work on a plan and is an expert at the hospital we are attending.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Found out I have a narrow at the bottom passage way for baby and so might end up with a c-section...also that baby is still breech. I got ultrasounds scheduled for 32 weeks and 35 weeks as well as NST's scheduled starting at 32 weeks every week...and a BPP scheduled for 35 weeks. Sounds like of the c-section worries go away and I have any signs of labor he will have us induced (etc) at 39 weeks. So kinda amazing to know that most likely we will have a baby in the next 9 weeks. Seems so real. Also odd to consider c-section might be my best option.

GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
    My dog of course.

    How far along are you?
    34 weeks and 2 days

    Why are you high-risk?
    GD, Turner's Syndrome

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Biophysical profile Friday, Consultation with Cardiologist tomorrow to talk about my heart echo and ultrasound.

    Any concerns/news currently?
    Baby is measuring 80th percentile

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
That my heart results come back normal - this means my heart has no defects due to the Turner's Syndrome and my heart will be able to withstand delivery.

GTKY: What is your favorite animal and why?
Cats, specifically my cat, Eeyore. She takes such good care of me while I'm pregnant. She's 18 years old and sleeps by my bump every night like she's protecting me :)
