At least he has given me the time to mostly organize the new house and setup the nursery:
QOTW: I found DH in the glider the other day when it arrived rocking the bunny rabbit and pretending to soothe him! He is going to be great. I also have my mom in town, so everyone is ready to roll.
QOTW: My DH is my support person and so far throughout my pregnancy has been great. I really think he will be really great during my labor too but I will probably get more of a sense after our labor class next weekend lol.
@Kp214 I hope you and baby are doing well! Hopefully he stays put for a little longer, but if not I'm sure he is in great hands!
@latershrader I hope your pelvic floor pain eases up for you!
@latershrader - been wondering about newborn care class too... I'm undecided but don't have much time to get on it so time may decide for me
@mjacks16 - your nursery looks adorable. Love love love. You look beautiful too btw. Hope your NST and growth scan go well today. You must be so ready to meet your little man
@Kp214 - thinking of you and continuing to send positive vibes your way.
QOTW: Eric is definitely my primary emotional support person.. he's just beyond amazing and so involved. I feel really grateful for his commitment to being a partner in this journey in all senses. I also am blessed with a friend here in Houston who is also pregnant with her IVF baby (6 weeks behind me), so we're a huge support for each other as well. We're planning a double date, couples weekend away for some RnR poolside in a few weeks so that'll be fun!

@mjacks16 thank you. you look fantastic! Your response about DH has me tearing up, crying. That is so sweet.
@oxinfree thank you. Positive vibes and thoughts are welcomed. You are going to be busy. It's great that you were able to get more things to be ready.
Afm, waiting to see if the contractions increase now that I'm off the meds. I'm 29 weeks today with Julian. I'd rather he wait a few more weeks, but there isn't anything else to be done.
QOTW: so my best friend from high school has been a great emotional support as well as DH. She helps since she's been through this before. DH has been great with all the daily emotional support. He's been so wonderful during this, especially this weekend.

2015: 3 IUI's-BFN

3/2016: RE suggested donor eggs- taking an ivf break and to supplement
9/2016: 3rd ivf cycle-cancelled due to early ovulation
Oct./Nov 2016: 4th ivf cycle- EPP-AFC:5, retrieved 10, 10 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 6 blastocysts biopsied and frozen. 3 CCS normal embryos

@latershrader - sorry about the pain, I hope it eases up. Yay for showers! Enjoy every minute. The only class we took was actually the newborn care class. I found it really informative for DH who has never really been around kids and I learned a few things too (I had no idea you didn't use shampoo during sponge baths) so, overall, it was beneficial. However, to your point, you can probably find all the info online or on YouTube!
@mjacks16 - you and the nursery look fantastic!! Wishing you luck today at your appointment!!
@Stars2016 - I'm so glad your growth scan brought you some peace of mind! That's great you were able to get some 3D shots as well!
@oxinfree - what a busy week!! It certainly feels nice to check things off the to do list though, right?!
@Kp214 - still thinking of you and sending positive vibes for Julian to stay put. Are you still not dilated?
AFM - 38 weeks tomorrow. Induction scheduled for 6/24 but FINGERS CROSSED Baby B makes his or her appearance on their own - preferably just that day anytime before I have to go in
QOTW - my DH is definitely my emotional support person and he's done... okay. It's not that he's not trying but I think having an easy pregnancy has backfired in this aspect. Since I've felt good, took so long to show, have really only changed a few lifestyle things, etc. sometimes I think he forgets that I am pregnant. Especially now at 38 weeks and slowing down. I have no doubt in my mind though that, when labor & the baby come, he'll be fantastic. I have several friends who are PG and we are all due within a month of each other so the emails and text fly on a daily basis!

Zoey Alexis born 7/25/17 @ 12:39 PM | 7lbs 14oz | 19 inches
This coming weekend we are headed to Dallas (where we used to live) for our baby shower. One is a couple's shower and one is just for me hosted by my mom's friends. I'm excited to celebrate and see everyone and hope to get a lot of our "final" things so we can see where we are and what we still need to buy.
We went to a newborn safety & CPR class on Saturday- it was honestly pretty informative! All the safe sleep info has made me feel a bit better.
Next appt is Thursday morning for our 32 week check-up. Crazy to think that in 5 weeks from then I'll be full term.
QOTW: DH is definitely my emotional support which he has done decently well at. Sometimes he's amazing and hyperaware and sometimes he misses the boat (like, when he got us a table outside in the TX heat last week...helloooo I'm overheating!) Something he's always tremendous at, though, is keeping calm when/if I am anxious about something, and I know during delivery he's going to be the best most essential partner! When I was going through infertility, one of my good friends was DEFINITELY my huge support. She has an 8 month old now and she is definitely helping through pregnancy too.
DH & I both 34.

TTC for 8 years.
Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring.
OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months.
First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube.
Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed.
Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months.
HSG performed December 2009: left tube open.
February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs.
Took a break for a while.
January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI.
Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction).
2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF.
September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary.
October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months.
December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst.
January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed.
March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again.
April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted.
May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity.
Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus.
FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16.

EDD 8/30/17 with two girls!!!!!

@omarismyhomeboy Have so much fun at your showers! I'm actually kind of comforted to know you are doing yours after 30 weeks! I felt like that was late, but I'll be 32 weeks at my first shower!
@byrneme Hope you can manage through your busy weekend! Take lots of breaks and drink lots of water.
@Kp214 Praying for Julian to keep baking. I'm assuming your are in the hospital on full bed-rest?
@oxinfree I hear you on the pain front! It's tough to get through it but you can do it for little Beau! Glad you got your final baby-items and your nursery is almost done. I'm so jealous!
@Stars2016 So glad the growth scan was good! That's great news!
@mjacks16 You look so great! Your nursery is precious! Especially after having just moved!

QOTW: I have lots of support - SO, mom, sister, and close friends. Obviously SO is main source of support and he has been great. He's been to nearly all of my appointments, always listens and massages my feet and legs all of the time. He is going to make a great dad, can't wait to see him in action!
@latershrader I never planned on taking an infant care class, only an infant safety class, which I unfortunately will have to take after baby arrives (at least CPR portion). But I know people who got a lot out of their infant care classes.
@mjacks16 Love the pic, you look great and the nursery is so cute! Hope your appointment goes well and so exciting you'll be meeting your little one very soon!
@stars2016 Glad your ultrasound turned out good. My son always measures on time but my belly always measures behind
@kp214 Hoping Julian stays put a while longer
@byrneme FX'd no induction needed!
@omarismyhomeboy Enjoy your showers!
@tiffanyw1783 Hope your girls stay put a while longer. FX'd you get good news from MFM on Wednesday.
I see my OB again on Thursday so we will see what he says. He kept joking that maybe he would see me before then but I just don't see that happening!
QOTW: My husband is my biggest support person. He will be the only one present out of family/friends present for the birth. He has been nagging me to slow down and has been trying to help out more around the house which has been nice!
@MicronesianMamma love the nursery! So bright and cheery! Fingers crossed for progress!
@tiffanyw1783 hopefully you get good news this week and keep the babies cooking for a few more weeks!
@byrneme hopefully the baby will make his/her appearance before your induction date!
@kp214 hopefully Julian will stay put for a few more weeks!
@stars2016 glad your growth scan went well!
@mjacks16 hope your appointment went well! Love the nursery! You look great!
@latershrader have a great time at your shower! We didn't do the infant care class because it didn't work with our schedule. It would have been more for my husband because he has never changed a diaper or held many babies for that matter! I've been around babies my entire life and used to work in pediatrics so we figured he will just pick up a lot from me. I honestly think he will be a natural.
@MicronesianMamma love the nursery colors!
@latershrader I'm on hospital bedrest, which is a good things since being at home on bedrest would be even more challenging. id want to get up and do so much around the house.
Thank you to to everyone for the good thoughts and prayers. We made it one more day!
Afm, I've been moved to an ante partum room. The first little goal is to make it to week 30. Ultimately, we want to make it to at least week 34, but they tell me to focus on little baby goals. They haven't checked for dilation since Saturday out of concern for increasing anything that might be going on. DH has been so wonderful. I know this is hard for him, working and then trying to be here with me and Julian.

@MicronesianMamma Love the tropical nursery!
All went well at the OB yesterday. Little guy is big - about 9lbs and heart rate and fluids are all good. I was dilated 1.5cm, so some progress. We decided to go back in on Wednesday for another check and will schedule an induction for Friday if no action by then. I did get a membrane sweep, so hoping that moves things along. I would love to avoid the induction, but I'm so ready to meet him at this point.
@tiffanyw1783 you are correct. Little goals will get me to the bigger ones. One day at a time is my mantra.
@mjacks16 so glad things went well yesterday! How exciting that you will be meeting your little one. I pray that you have some progress tomorrow.

35 weeks, 4 days here - My due date had been August 13th but it's just been changed to August 11th in my charts so I still say August 13th but I'm cool with August 11th too since it's two days earlier lol.
Little Parker is super active - my ribs & abdomen are literally sore from it! Thankfully he "sleeps" at night though so I'm still sleeping pretty well. Had the Strep B swab done last week at my OB appt. Blood pressure was up a little bit but I've been feeling pretty good. I was told yesterday that they generally induce at one week over due. I'm happy with that! I'll confirm it at my appt next week. Dizzy spells in the am due to no water/food all night so I've got water, juice and snack back at my bedside. I drink a bottle of water and eat something before I get up now to keep them at bay. Swelling in my feet and hands a bit over the weekend but that's doing better (again, I think the water issue).
Had the big "realization" that the wonderfully relaxing weekend we just had together could be one of the last we have just us (we've got plans/DH works a lot of the weekends leading up to now). And I bawled haha. I'm so excited for the baby to get here but I think I needed a minute to mourn the loss of "just the two of us" - doing whatever, whenever we wanted. This isn't like moving in together or buying the house or getting married. Those are events that - we really stay the same for. Having a baby is a major change - we are so ready for it but ya, just for a minute I was sad, maybe even scared. But just for a minute
QOTW - Rich (DH) has been my biggest support and like for @byrnem he's done okay. I've been super lucky with this pregnancy not slowing me down much but the days it does, he has a hard time recognizing it. I'm still "asking him" to do a lot of things that I've said please could you just start doing that but overall he's done pretty well. We're working on the balance but I think we're just about there. He really is great around the house after working long work weeks so I really can't complain. I'm super happy he's taking 2 weeks off with me when Parker is born (one week Pat Leave, one week vacation) and then another weeks vacation booked at the end of September and October. He really wants to be there - I think we are both going to be sooo sad when he goes back to work!
@mjacks16 - so soon now! I hope he decides to arrive before an induction but excited for you that this is the week! Nursery looks amazing!
@Kp214 - glad to hear that things seem to be going as well as they can!!

I'm 36 weeks and 3 days today. Still takes me by surprise some days to know I'm almost near the end. It's funny, but some days it seems like she'll be here any minute and other days it seems like forever away. I'm still feeling great and keeping active, but have started to feel off when I lay down at night. Not sure if the day just catches up with me then or what.
QOTW: DH is my main support. Has been from the day we met. He has been fantastic through the infertility journey and pregnancy. He mentioned the other day that he's not sure he's going to be able to put our daughter down once she gets here. Watching him be a dad is something I'm looking forward to.
This just came up on my Facebook - bawled. It's pretty awesome - a step towards recognizing something that really helps.

My next OB appointment is my glucose test on 7/18, but this week we made the progress of meeting and deciding on a wonderful pediatrician, which I'm thrilled to check off the list. We also went to an intro class put on by our hospital last week but still need to sign up for the labor/newborn classes.
QOTW: My DH is a huge source of support and has been throughout all the infertility suckiness, including IVF. He is so excited to be a dad, and I can't wait to see him in action. My mom and sister have both been wonderful, too, and have dealt with my frayed nerves and raging hormones like champs. My sister already has 3 of her own, but seeing how thrilled she is to become an aunt is great.
@Kp214 Thinking of you and Julian and fx he continues to stay put!
@MicronesianMamma I love how cheerful the nursery is!
@tiffanyw1783 so glad your appointment went well!
@emilye13 welcome to 3rd trimester!!
I'm antsy to see my OB today! I'm hoping he at least tells me that my cervix is softening or things have changed somewhat because everything just feels different! Way more pressure on my pelvis and hips and I feel like I'm finally waddling! I've increased my birth ball exercises to 2x a day to help her engage into my pelvis! Still eating dates, drinking my red raspberry leaf tea and staying active. I had to stop eating pineapple because it gives me terrible indigestion. I'm just trying to hopefully reduce my chances of needing to be induced at this point.
@EmilyE13 welcome!!
Yay for great news @tiffanyw1783 !

@ARB425 Hope you get/got good news at OB today!
Welcome to 3rd tri! @EmilyE13
Thinking of you @mjacks16 Looking forward to your next update!
AFM, I was just a tiny bit under 2cm dilated on Tuesday so my OB stretched me to a nice comfortable 2cm, which was anything but comfortable. My cervix and baby's head are still high but he has started to drop. Last night I lost my mucus plug and decided to share this news (visually) with SO who immediately started gagging lol. Over the past couple of days I've definitely noticed a change in his position and the new cramps and pains. I'm hoping this means labor is soon but who knows?! My OB was surprised to learn I'm still at work and suggested I make this my last week even if I don't go into labor, so I'm officially on leave after tomorrow!!
@ARB425 - hope all went well at the OB. I'm interested in these birth ball exercises you speak off... may need to look that up... I've been doing tailor sitting (basically sitting cross legged on floor), pelvic rocking, and trying to get some squats in but my knees and heels are sometimes too pained. Would be nice to have another thing to try!
@MicronesianMamma - one week away from due date! how exciting that you're already dilated... that seems like a good sign! Yay for being on leave after this week!
@EmilyE13 - I know the feeling of getting to third trimester and wondering how the heck that happened! haha. I'm stressing about the pediatrician thing. I keep meaning to do it and keep forgetting and of course now it's past 5 so clinics will be closed. Tomorrow I WILL remember haha... hopefully
@tiffanyw1783 - that's great news about looking like 37 weeks will work out.
AFM - OB appointment went well yesterday, she eased my mind about a lot of things and I'm much less stressed about induction etc. She kept saying, "you know it IS possible to go early too
ps. am I the only one exhausted these days? Is this a third trimester thing or what!? All motivation out the door. Lame.

@oxinfree my birth ball exercises are simple. I work for about 20 minutes each time on the ball. I bounce on the ball using my legs, then just bounce with my butt(sounds weird I know), hip circles, figure 8 forms, rocking side to side and back and forward. My OB truly thinks this has helped her stay head down, opens the pelvis and helps baby get into position. Plus for labor it gives you the basics for laboring on the ball, helps with back pain etc.
