Is anyone else having baby dreams? I've had two dreams now that I deliver a boy baby. With my other two kiddos I always dreamed the opposite of what I ended up having. Time will tell!
Same as above. I haven't had baby specific dreams but do have very vivid dreams in general.
AFM- Who all plans to do first tri testing and what kind? We didn't do any testing last time but my husband is really anxious this time around so I'll jump on anything noninvasive that is covered by my insurance.
Those who are still breastfeeding: do you have plans to wean any time soon? What's your game plan where that is concerned? I recall my OB in my last pregnancy wanting me to wean my then-22 month old prior to 13 weeks. She ended up self-weaning without issue one evening when she literally signed (and said), "all done," and never nursed again. My 2 year old, however, is a hopeless boob addict who still nurses several times per day/night. I have no clue how I'm going to wean her, which I at least hope to do by second tri.

@notthefather DH and I have been discussing and reading about this and are strongly considering it. Even if it's an oop expense. I like that it's not invasive. I'm looking at the Panorama.
I am not planning on doing any genetic testing. It's not covered and I don't have any concerning history and am not AMA. @jesuisjamie I am still breastfeeding my 11 month old (soon to be 1 year old). I am planning to nurse as long as possible and even tandem nurse if he wants to. He has not shown and interest in wanting to stop. My supply is not as good but I think it's going fine... just really tender nipples! I know @JournoGrl23@mamaloba816 and @DDRRT1982 are all still breastfeeding as well.
@scoogy19 that's awesome! I honestly thought she'd be ready to wean by now, but she's still going strong at just over 2yo. I'd be all for her continuing but I just don't know that the toddler nursing days are compatible with being pregnant. Plus, I want my sleep already

@jesuisjamie I thought our daughter would wean by 1, nope. For sure by 2, nope. Finally had to *help* her wean 2 months before turning 3! At that point she was down to only nursing before bed, but my RE suggested I try weaning and see if I could carry to term.
We are probably doing all the genetic testing we can, even if OOP. I was on the fence and then this past April discovered I'm a carrier for a rare, really bad genetic disorder. MH isn't a carrier, thankfully, so we're not worried about our children having the disease, but the whole situation changed our perspective on genetic testing in general and now we want all the info we can get ASAP. Also, although I'm not quite AMA I am 34 and that also makes me want it. I haven't looked into specifics yet though since it's so early.
@jesuisjamie DD is 10 and a half months and I plan to continue pumping until she turns 1, and then nurse on demand until she self weans. I would like to nurse her the entire pregnancy and then tandem nurse afterward, but am concerned since I read supply dips and then turns into colostrum in the final months.
@jesuisjamie My 23 month old DD still nurses during the night, I'm thinking about cutting her off tonight ( though it's early, and I ALWAYS say I'm cutting her off after I've had my coffee. Then night comes and I crash and give in for the sake of sleep ) I've been ready to be DONE for a while but I'm just lazy in the middle of the night and it's been so much easier to nurse her in bed and pass back out.
@jesuisjamie there's no reason you need to wean unless you have a history of preterm labor. I nursed through the full pregnancies for 2&3, and my 2 yr old is nursing still. 2x a day usually. My oldest weaned a month before is brother was born and my second nursed on and off for a while after the baby. Came.
Your supply will probably drop or go dry at some point which can get uncomfortable. Mine nursed through though!
Any STMs have their toddler tell you you were pregnant before you knew? I haven't yet told my 2 yr old DD but last week before my BFP, she said, 'mommy baby at new house?' (We are moving next month to a new house), and since then she has mentioned 'mommy has baby' and touched my belly a few times, WTF?! How does she know?!
@mountain_girl My 5yo knows something is up. He has become super clingy and very affectionate lately and last night he said "there's one baby in our house." I asked him where the baby was...and he pointed to himself. But I get the feeling he senses something.
I'm still nursing my 10 month old. I plan to continue to nurse through pregnancy and I'm considering tandem nursing. I'll stop pumping once he turns one and I'll just nurse on demand when he's with me.
I'm still nursing my 11.5 month old and will continue to nurse on demand through this pregnancy and plan to tandem nurse until he self-weans. I'm already noticing some tenderness, but as long as it doesn't get worse, it's not too bad. I know someone whose 1.5 year old weaned the week the new baby was born because he didn't like the colostrum and I'm so nervous that will happen with DS. I'd like to nurse him until he's at least 2.

@mountain_girl yes! My 3.5 y/o DD did the same thing a few days before my BFP. I told my friend that either she has a crazy 6th sense I wasn't aware of, or I should lay off the mac'n'cheese
@jesuisjamie with each of my pregnancies my milk dried up over the course of 3 days at the end of the 1st trimester. I was not interested in dry nursing (ouch) and so my kids weaned. Unfortunately for my first that meant the milk dried up when she was only 11 months old, but thankfully I still had a freezer full so she made it past a year. My sons were luckier only because we spaced out the pregnancies a bit more.
I'd love to do all testing available, but I'm also cheap and so will only do what is covered (either by my provincial health care or private insurance).

@jesuisjamie my 2 year old dd is a boob fiend and still nurses during the night. She only pops on and off for a minute or so, but she wakes me 5 times at least and I'm SO. EFFING. TIRED. As much as I've loved nursing and co-sleeping, I've been ready to move her to her own room and fully wean for months. I think tandem nursing is so beautiful but it's not for me. While we've made progress in the past few months with winding down, we're stuck at this point and I don't know what to do.
Any of the mamas in here have tips for moving from co-sleeping to their own bed and night weaning a boob monster? I've used books, bribes, gentle explanation, standing my ground, etc. but she is adamant and with get hysterical if I say no at night or when she's overtired. She does not know how to self-soothe whatsoever so naps and bedtime are really difficult with other people.
@isntthatspeshul I'm in the same boat with DD (almost two yo). Cosleeping booby fiend who wakes me all night. I want to be DONE but I'm lazy. My SO is totally willing to wake with her and help me get her back down without nursing, but he's up at 4 for work and I don't want him to have to do that. Ugh. I definitely want her out of my bed and off of my tit before I start getting a belly. The struggle is real

Not sure if there was a correlation between this and my pregnancy or not. When I put my DD down for a nap or bed time, I usually lay down in bed with her until she's asleep. Usually, she wants to lay her head on my chest and fall asleep that way. However, a few days before I got my bfp, she started lifting my shirt up to expose my belly and laying her head on it to fall asleep. Pretty weird!

I keep having dreams that I'm having twins and it's driving me crazy not knowing for sure. We don't have a appointment until I'm ten weeks, so I've got a while to wait!
I dreamt about having a girl when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was still convinced it was a boy, until we found out my dream was right!
I had a routine check up this morning as part of my insurance incentives and my blood pressure was 119/94. I just had vitals and a blood draw at the clinic at my job (I work at a university and they have a faculty/staff clinic run by our nursing program) and didn't even realize that this puts me into Stage 1 Hypertension until I was reading paperwork in my car. I've always had great blood pressure and consider myself a healthy person so this is a shock to me. Is it worth putting in a question through my OB's portal or should I just wait the 2.5 weeks until my appointment to bring it up? I don't know if this is a real concern or not. The bulk of what I found online relates to high blood pressure and late pregnancy.
@notthefather one random blood pressure isn't indicative of hypertension. You could always go to Walgreens and check it again when you're calm and relaxed. If it becomes a pattern then it may be a problem, but one reading doesn't really mean anything.

That's a great point Thanks for walking me off the ledge.
@mountain_girl my son did that when he was 4. He came home from preschool the day I took a pg test and told me I was pregnant and it was going to be his princess. We just went with it and he went to the anatomy scan and when they said it was a girl he was like duh I told you that already.
Did it take anyone else a little while to get a good, strong BFP? I started testing before my period was due but it didn't pop positive until I was about 2 days late. Im only 4+3 but even now my BFP is still really light, which of course makes that pregnancy anxiety flare up. It makes me nervous that my levels aren't high enough or whatever.
@muggle621 This is from my OB's handouts: VAGINAL DISCHARGE - Some increase of vaginal discharge is common with pregnancy. Should you develop a yeast infection it is
okay to use Monistat.
@notthefather Oh good thanks. I won't be getting my "information packet" until next week so I only have the internet to go on. Hopefully it's just random discomfort or whatever.

I have that too. the lines are still somewhat faint. And I'm at the same point as you based on LMP, but actually based on ovulation I'm only 4w1d. Either way it's still super early, I wouldn't worry too much, as hard as that is.
@muggle621 Monistat is fine and if it really gets bad/won't clear up, my OB did prescribe me a Diflucan pill twice in my last pregnancy after 3 rounds of Monistat didn't work. yeast infections are my least favorite pregnancy side effect.
@chasingroygbiv I have had several! The first dream I had was of a baby girl and her name came up in the dream and that's how I know if it's a girl, that's what I will name her. It was so real and so beautiful! Then the next dream was about a boy, no name though. And I can't see their faces in the dreams because your brain cannot dream a face it has never seen before, which is crazy! All I see is little heads of brown hair swaddled up in pink or blue blankets!
