Our gender reveal party went amazing last night. The fireworks were AWESOME! After all of the cleaning and prepping I was really starting to question if we should have had the party but it was so much fun. We bought one firework of each color since one of my brothers was picking them up for us. After we let off the blue we thought we would do the pink for fun but it wouldn't light. I'm really glad we weren't having a girl or that would have been a total bummer.
I am almost done with a paper I've been working on for quite a long time. In the past month I have completed significant work on 3 papers that have been the barrier between me and graduation. I can't believe I'm getting so close!!
DD woke up early (way earlier than normal) this morning, BUT she's been in the best mood and very self entertained. We've been listening to a toddler playlist and she's been jumping around the playroom all morning and dancing.
My brother came to visit with my niece and nephew and brought us a lot of baby stuff. I've been so anxious with this pregnancy I haven't bought anything yet and seeing all that stuff was so exciting.
We got our new family vehicle! We debated about a minivan now that we will be a family of 5 soon but decided in a Ford Explorer with the third row seating! I am in love! Also got to upgrade my phone to the iPhone 7plus so I can take better pictures of the fam!
We're house (rental) hunting and needing to buy a living room set, bedroom set, and guest room set but my ILs just offered to buy us either our bedroom set or living room set. DH and I had a town hall wedding and apparently my ILs had a savings for his wedding that they never used. It takes a lot of strain off of us since I'm not working anymore because of the move.
We got signed up for kidsbowlfree.com and we are going to use our first coupon today! I'm so excited and we haven't told DS1 what we are up to yet. He's going to be so happy!
We started our registry this weekend! And I didn't get too overwhelmed by the sheer amount of baby things in the store! We've picked a crib and narrowed down our car seat choices to two models. I was worried about finding one that would fit in our car. And we got a good start on the rest of the baby gear too.
We found out baby's gender on Friday and announced today! While DH has been working crazy hours, he made time this morning for our reveal (something he decided he wanted to do - very rare so I let him have it). He doesn't show a lot of emotion .....ever. but even without being overly excited people can just tell he's thrilled for this baby. And I got to add boy stuff to the registry instead of just gender neutral. I'm 99% sure I found baby's take home outfit! Now I just need someone to buy it
We wrote and mailed all our thank you cards for wedding gifts (all money since we didn't ask for anything or have a registry... In fact I was totally surprised by the gifts!)
