My UO is that I hate summer. Always have, probably always will. I hate humidity, I hate sweating, I hate bugs. I don't even like beaches (they're dirty!) and greatly prefer pools. I hate layering on sunscreen and inevitably missing spots and getting burned. I hate wearing shorts and my thighs sticking to seats. I hate sweaty feet but most sandals aren't comfortable (save for my Crocs flip-flops). I hate my feet getting dirty when I do wear sandals.
I don't like pedicures! I find that they tickle me way too much to make them enjoyable.
I will, however, get a pedicure if I make it to 37 weeks. I had one late in my pregnancy with DS, and I'm convinced that it triggered labor to start, so hopefully it will do the same this time. I can't bend enough to paint my own toes. But after that, the next time I get one will probably be when I am in a wedding or something. I'm totally in the minority, I'm sure...but I just don't enjoy them! lol
I hate winter! and LOVE summer! Im having a hard time staying inside and keeping cool this summer, becuase I love going outside and enjoying the heat. Normally my body is super cold, and unless its hot and humid outside, I freeze.
@aehogan90 I agree with you, fake nails are the worst!

I hate Whole Foods. First off, what grocery store doesn't sell proper candy? Secondly, a small juice should not cost $4.99 per bottle. I rather ship at Walmart!
@tova24 I know what you mean! Whole foods has some great stuff, but its not the place that I would shop at for a full grocery shopping. The one thing I will always buy there is cocoa powder! They have fresh cocoa powder and it really does make a difference when I bake!

I just saw a commercial for the Emoji movie...my UO is that emojis do NOT need a movie! I don't mind them in texts etc, but seriously? My niece already uses the poop emoji far too much and thinks it is hysterical-did we need to make it talk and give it a movie?!

For real. Every time I see the commercial, I scoff, and DH says, "that movie's going to make a killing." Facepalm.
@smallbutmighty77 my mom is new to the cell phone business and texting and she was asking me this past weekend if there was an emojo (she mispronounced it) for 4th of July and a wedding anniversary one....Mom...stop it...
My UO is I don't like gadgets that are connected to your phone. For example I was looking at RnP's the other day picking out one. I found they make one that is smart connect so it has an app for your phone. Excuse me, you push a button from the across the room and it turns it on/changes music etc....are people just that lazy to get up and turn on the button?? Also my BIL has a smoker that is all controlled by his phone. Get up and go turn it on yourself. How do we ever survive without all this technology !
I'm *almost* ready for the kid's summer break to be over. I'm honestly happy that they'll be back to school before LO arrives. Buuuutttt, that's still a month away! Lord help me.

Thank you! The poop emoji popularity baffles me. Birthday parties, room decor, etc. So disgusting. I know most kids go through a potty humor phase, but that's just beyond.
Smoking inside public buildings here is illegal, which I'm glad about. I walked into the bank yesterday, and a man was 'vaping' in line. My UO is that IDGAF what your "vape" is made of, don't do anything that even resembles smoking inside a public place.
I can't stand the make up trends right now. Contouring and thick drawn on eyebrows. I just can't. Yes it's beautiful but it looks so unnatural and I prefer a much more neutral look.

The vapor invades my personal space and I hate it.
@morgy_bee I am with you on this! I think contouring can look really pretty-when done correctly/professionally-but it looks really fake. I think the natural look is way more obtainable and realistic. Yet again, I am the kind of woman that just puts on chapstick and calls it a day most of the time!
@morgy_bee I can see it for special occasions, but not every day. I know you're contouring when your face is glowing and yesterday you had no cheekbones and your nose was 2x as big. On the flip side, Alicia Keys annoys me with her no makeup thing, I get she's trying to normalize a make up free face, but I know plenty of women who don't wear makeup and don't make it into a thing. News flash, Alicia, you're not special and you are not the first woman to go without makeup.
I almost never wear makeup so when all the contouring etc started happening I was so in over my head...I'm lucky I can do a decent eyeliner. My sister is the makeup queen-even though she works out of her house, she puts on a full face everyday. She has more makeup, brushes etc than Sephora itself. I just can't.

@tova24 I love Whole Foods! I go to the pub, drink a beer (pre-pregnancy), go shopping, their meats are amazing and I love the salad bar. I do stick to protein and vegetables and buy most of my non-perishables at Costco. I hate Walmart! I despise their business practices and how they treat their employees. I'll never shop there.
@SouthernMama15 Re: Alicia Keys. Actually... I'm glad she's outspoken about going without make-up (or let's be real when she's in literal spotlights, surely she must be wearing powder...). Celebrities' looks are just unattainable for the average Jane and can cause self-esteem issues in some. I very rarely look at the gossip rags but when I do, I like the pages that show "stars... they're just like us" because you see how these beautiful women look normally. Still beautiful, but not perfect. I also like how some companies claim they're no longer airbrushing their models, like Aerie is now allegedly showing normal young women with normal thighs. Generally speaking I think it's good for society.
@lewliv I'm with you on not shopping at Wal-Mart. One of my closest friends actually works for headquarters so I keep my disdain quiet, but I remember studying them in business school and never thought they were a moral company worthy of the level of business they attain. Also, I don't shop at Whole Foods but do you have a Mariano's nearby? The one by me has two bars (including one with live jazz piano and combos!), an oyster bar, salad/hot meal bar, sushi restaurant; they'll even cook your steak for you. People go shopping there rolling around their carts holding a beer or glass of wine, even with kids in tow. I love it.
@DeansGirl14 I swear the Mariano's near me is like the it place for brunch...going on a Sunday it's packed with people drinking mimosas and bloody mary's - getting their shop on. It's great to watch.

@DeansGirl14 and @smallbutmighty77 I ADORE Mariano's! When I lived in Chicago I went to one that was attached to my gym. I would workout and then get a memosa and do my grocery shopping! It was heaven.
@lewliv I'm with you on how bad Walmart treats their employees. I feel guilty shopping there, but I just can't afford to pay Whole Food prices on everything. I agree that some items at Whole Foods are worth the price (they actually make Kosher cakes and this comes in handy during Jewish holidays) but some I just can't justify.
I have to agree with @DeansGirl14 about Alicia Keys. Plenty of average women like ourselves go without makeup daily, but celebrities have full cake faces and falsies anytime they leave the house (or have a camera coming into their house). I guess I like the fact that she's a celebrity doing it. She has access to anyone at anytime to make her look absolutely flawless and instead chooses to show her real self. If I tried contouring or even doing a wing liner I would likely be doing myself a huge disservice. It's much easier for me to show my true self daily because I'm just a regular person and nobody is expecting me to look perfect.
@lewliv and @tova24 We are pretty anti Walmart. I can't even remember the last time I was in one, but we also have the financial flexibility to make that choice. I can see how it is a good option for some people, and I think there are a lot of other companies that don't get the same scrutiny as them but are still not that great to employees. DH is working on a project that will bring a Whole Foods 365 to our town. There has been some push back from people because they are not a union store, so it all depends on what an individuals priorities are (not that Walmart is union either).
I love summer...and I live in AZ! We do drive north a lot on the weekends, though.
My UO is that ever since the second trimester hit, I LOVE brushing the back of my tongue when I brush my teeth. We're talking rough, hard, dig the brush all over the very back of my tongue. I don't know how in the world I don't gag, but it's heavenly!
My UO is I do not enjoy being pregnant. I love feeling baby kicks, but I hate everything else. My do won't let me do anything (per doctors orders) and I feel helpless and dependent. That is not who I am!
Smoking inside public buildings here is illegal, which I'm glad about. I walked into the bank yesterday, and a man was 'vaping' in line. My UO is that IDGAF what your "vape" is made of, don't do anything that even resembles smoking inside a public place.
The vapor invades my personal space and I hate it.
I hate both vaping and smoking. A guy lit up a cigarette while standing next to me while I was holding my son while watching the local 4th of July parade. I almost lost it. My parents do both and then try to hide it from me by telling me it's perfectly healthy for my child/ future lo to be around them if they don't do it near them. To them it doesn't matter too much because, "well you and your sister we're fine." Um, what? Not the case. My sister has asthma as do her kids. I had chronic bronchitis for over 10 years even though they didn't smoke inside. It magically cleared up and went away when I moved out.
I thoroughly enjoyed both Bridesmaids & Bad Mom's. I can't wait to see the new Bad Mom's Christmas movie!
Same here, though Bridesmaids dragged a wee bit. I'm scheduled to see Rough Night after work tomorrow (another female-oriented raunchy comedy if you haven't heard of it). Didn't know BM had a Christmas movie coming out- will look forward to it!
