@lurvleybunchococonuts Last cycle wasy first charting and it looked like a mess too... I thought it was a total disaster until, all of a sudden, the temployee shift was there and clear. It took me a while for FF to verify CHs though. Give it some time and hopefully it will all become clear soon. When do you normally O?

@lurvleybunchococonuts Just keep temping and make sure that you are doing it at the same time every day. Hopefully a pattern will emerge soon. Sometimes it can be hard to see until you get a few days past O. I had the same mountain range thought my first month temping. Just keep at it. You'll see it eventually.

R/R: We are having some trees removed in our yard this week. There is one in particular that is probably close to 100 feet high and on hardcore gangster lean right at our house, super close. They are working on that one now and it's sketchy AF. They've got most of the limbs off and have to drop it down in a specific place so that it doesn't tear anything up. So sketchy. I'm nervous! I don't know how they are going to do it!

CS/Q: no Q. Fertile CM is happening so hopefully HIO tonight.

R/R: Today I started day 1 of a keto diet to try and lose weight/have shorter cycles. I had a 48 day cycle and I know it is because I have been eating like shit. Wish me luck on this journey. I have done it before but it's been quite awhile. Also, I haven't gotten groceries yet so that's something I will need to do this morning so I don't make a mistake. I am actually excited to do this. I know it's what my body needs so if anyone else has this type of lifestyle can you please let me know?

I love beluga whales!!! They are like squishy, cold marshmallows and have adorable personalities. I used to work at Sea World and I would go hang out with them all the time. Aurok is my fav.

@kbamomma33 thanks, I'm sticking with it, just makes me nervous because my first thought is oh god... have I even been ovulating all this time?  What if there is no shift. (so essentially freaking myself out for likely no reason).  Also, your description of that tree made me giggle.  FX they know what they're doing.  Might not hurt to make sure your home owners insurance is up to date

@garnetandgoldgrace I've never thought of a beluga whale as a squishy, cold marshmallow before, but it fits!  Good luck with the new diet!

@garnetandgoldgrace The company is insured and we have homeowner's insurance so, if something were to happen, we wouldn't be out of pocket. I'm not really worried about them hitting the house or anything, moreso the other pretty trees in our yard that are smaller. I just don't see how they are going to put it down without making a mess. FX.

@wisewitch222 Same, I knew what I would be dealing with more or less.  I would have been so stressed out if I stopped BC right before TTC with no knowledge of my "normal" cycles b/c I ended up with amenorrhea during my second post-BC cycle.  At the time I wasn't worried (after getting a few negative HPTs of course), but if I had wanted to be pregnant at that time it would've been heartbreaking.  I knew nothing about charting at that point!

R/R: Rant - possibly TMI, but I have a random skin rash and getting in to see a doctor was surprisingly difficult! The dermatologists are booked through September and the regular MDs are booked through next week. So I'm going to see a resident, who will hopefully be trained enough to do something!

@charlestonchew By 'puppies' do you actually mean puppy puppies?  We call our 65 pound, 8 year old dog a puppy   What type of dogs are they?

@lurvleybunchococonuts Hang in there with the temping, it can be tough especially at first to see patterns and also temp consistently. It's not unusual to have some temp variation even if you take it at the same time every day. If you get to where you think you O'd but aren't sure, you can always share your chart here or in the Chart Stalk thread. GL!

CS/Q: Not a question but wanted to follow-up on my Maca update from yesterday, especially to @doxiemoxie212  who is doing a Maca experiment with her H. MH took Maca on CD24 and 25, and we dtd both days. The first day he got a headache right at the end of dtd, I didn't think anything of it. Last night he got a REALLY bad headache right at the end (he said it happened immediately before completion). He seemed to be in a lot of pain. I told him to call his doctor as so-called Thunderclap headaches can be nothing or can be a serious thing. In any case, I also told him to stop taking the Maca *just in case* it is related, as that is the only supplement change he's made. Could be totally unrelated to Maca, but just wanted to give a head's up.

Month/Cycle: I don’t even know what to put here.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, ordering OPKs, watching CM and CP. Gotta buy more PNVs but they can wait; OPKs are more important since I'm in an information loop right now.

R/R: We changed our vacation plans up last night. I’m not sure if that’s a rant or a rave. But DH needs some serious R&R, and he is not the type to get that in a hotel room, so we’re gonna stay home for the first few days and then go out of town for the weekend. Only 8 more work days for me! (DH has 11 work days left though...)

CS/Q: Newp. I think I have to change my temp time, though. I am about 75% sure that I was actually awake for an hour or so before my alarm went off to temp, but in that dozey state.

@doxiemoxie212 I love your dog pics! On the chart, everyone is different, but I usually have a day or two of almost-positive OPKs, followed by two days of positive (usually one evening, one the next morning), and then a temp spike, in other words if I were you I would expect to not O for another 2 days or so. I also generally have fertile CM starting more than 3 days before O. I don't know a lot about short cycles, but this little article says that yes, it can be a problem to have a short follicular phase: https://natural-fertility-info.com/early-ovulation-and-fertility.html

At the same time, I wouldn't worry about it if it only happens this once. '

edit: saw @looeeze's q after I posted - he took one Maca capsule each day, no idea if the powder would be different. He also is prone to migraines so it may not be related.

@jrm_14 I would love to have a hedgehog, but unfortunately a) they're illegal in CA, and b) I understand that they need to be pretty warm, and since we live off grid we can't have a heat lamp or warmer or anything and the temperatures in the house are pretty low sometimes.
