I'm CD 7. I started opk's for the first time last month on top of already tracking CM. I usually O CD15-17-ish. DH gets to go on vacation before me from CD10-15... I'll join him on CD 16. I'm super anxious we might miss our chance. I'm hoping there is still a chance for us this month...
also- this will be my last month to get pregnant and give birth officially before turning 35. This month would be an edd of my birthday in April. I'm not sure why this is such a big deal for me but it is. I know 35 is not a magic number but it's stuck in my head. I've read a lot of stories on here of successful pregnancies later so I'm hoping I can be one too. I have my fingers crossed for all of us we get some good BDing in and maybe a few BFPs this month after moving over to TWW!
Hi all cd3 here! I went to the gym today, do that's something to feel good about despite being back in WTO. I might use opk's this cycle since the EDD would fall in that magic end of Spring semester time of year. DH and I are really hoping for this month or next for that bonus of timing
CD 9. US Wednesday. Not sure how much BD to do. With first IUI we didn't BD that much before process and nada. 2nd one we BD a lot before and then DH sperm count was low for IUI and again nada so now I don't know if we go back to less BD or what. They tell you to BD on your own just in case they miss ovulation
Pos OPK at CD11 which was weird but we BD almost an hour tonight and DH still couldn't finish. I wish I could help him ease the pressure. He had no problem 2 nights ago. So frustrating. I feel like a broken record saying this.
@amberruka so sorry that would be frustrating. Is there a way to not let him know that it's baby making time? You've probably tried that already. I don't know. Sorry for the dog bite that sucks.
@Mack2342 Yeah no, I don't tell him. And the skin started tearing like a few months ago so we're out of commission for at least a few days. Thanks though.
@amberruka Sorry lady. This whole process is frustrating af. Yikes. Dog bites hurt like a mother. In December my dog bit me by accident and I still have the puncture marks. Hope you know the dog and the dog has all its shots!

US this morning. Two follicles. Trigger shot tomorrow and insemination Saturday. He said if it doesn't work this time to speak with doctor I've been working with to see about something stronger. Have no idea what that would be and hoping we won't need to find out.
Alrighty, here we go...CD1 and officially off the bench. Feelings ranging from excitement to fear, with a hefty dose of "WTF, didn't I already do this this year??" thrown in for good measure. Trying to stay positive but not have unrealistic expectations.
@Mack2342 How exciting! Good luck this week!! @amberruka OMG, so sorry you got bit by a dog. That just....sucks
@sp128 yay. FX crossed! I will be looking for news.
@vlagrl29 I just did some reading and it could Possibly be injection which what I read should produce more eggs than the oral meds. I don't know as I haven't talked to doctor yet just what I have read
I've been a little proactive with my research on natural meds @Mack2342 so I'll be prepared to talk to OB about it next month. Vitex and Soy Iso. Soy Iso is the natural form of clomid and Vitex can help regulate hormones and cycles. Obviously they both say if you have regular cycles and ovulate do not take. Why mess with what's not broken. So I'll just keep that in mind when I talk to him but you know doctors - they don't know much about natural remedies.
@jchpg I am 35 and we only started trying this year so I understand the feeling of pressure. My EDD for my mmc would have been before my 36th bday but now whenever I get ku again it will be later. I don't know yet if we have any IF issues or were just unlucky with my first pg but have been taking some steps to increase egg quality just in case - it makes me feel better to do something pro-active. I hope you get ku soon!
@rosemaryandthyme Yay for being off the bench, FX for you this cycle!
CD25 here, first cycle AL and was cleared to TTC right away post mmc. Today is my 12th continuous day of fertile CM. Positive OPKs CD23 (pm) and CD24 (am and early afternoon, then negative pm), negative OPK this am. No temp spoke but hoping temp will go up tomorrow otherwise I think it was a false surge. I am trying to manage my expectations about this cycle but, probably like everyone here, I get hopeful which is a double edged sword.
@zamora_spin Hoping you see that temp spike soon and move into TWW! I totally understand about getting hopes up being a bit of a double edged sword...that's just gotta be human nature, I think.
@rosemaryandthyme I got a temp spike this am! Hoping it is sustained for the next couple days but feeling optimistic that I have O'd.
@hdaley I read the book "It Starts With the Egg" which was written by a microbiologist who basically digests a ton of studies that have been done in large part on ladies who have struggled with IF. I highly recommend the book - one of the things she said that I thought was interesting is that, contrary to popular belief, your eggs don't age, they just sit there in suspended animation until 3-4 months before they are ovulated - so a batch will start to get ready to ovulate and it's at that point that things go wrong due to maternal age, but there are things you can do to perhaps cause healthier eggs. I have already adopted some of the easy things she suggests - high quality pre-natal with Folate instead of Folic Acid as well as certain other vitamins (I was already taking MegaFood Baby and Me), and Ubiquinol (MH is also taking a multivitamin and Ubiquinol). I am working on adopting her suggestions for avoiding certain chemicals including Phthalates and BPA - I have changed out our home cleaning products, my fragrance, my makeup, and thrown out any non-glass food-storage containers. She also suggests that certain carbohydrates be avoided to avoid blood sugar spikes. Earlier this year I cut out a lot of sugar from my diet, but I haven't gone to the extent she recommends yet, kind of weighing that one.
@zamora_spin - what prenatal are you taking. I've been taking rainbow light. What's the difference between folate and folic acid. I have heard of that book and thinking I might read it when DD goes back to school this fall.
@vlagrl29 I take MegaFood Baby & Me prenatals (I also take a separate prenatal DHA) - I like it because the vitamins are whole food derived, but the pills are large and kind of gross, plus I have to take four of them. I think Rainbow Light is generally well-respected. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. Some people's bodies have difficulty converting folic acid to folate to methylfolate, which is the form the body can use. The thought in taking a supplement with folate is that it is easier for the body to convert it to the usable form. However, many people do not need to do this.
Interesting @zamora_spin I'm almost out but I think I'll still take them. They are food based and vegan although I am not. I also take maca root for energy.
Don't know why but I was driving today and all the sudden started crying. I think I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that my DS maybe an only child. In the beginning of TTC for #2 I never thought about that but after 2 losses and now round 3 of IUI I'm starting to look at that as a possibility and it makes me sad. Tears just came out of no where. I ended up coming home from work. This sucks

I'm so sorry @Mack2342 - this totally sucks and I'm sorry you are feeling that way but I can kind of relate though I've only had 1 loss. I've been looking into natural remedies so I have a plan when I talk to OB end of August. These are the things I've found so far - besides the vitex and soy iso there is also fertility acupuncture and I was told a true fertility acupuncturist will also tell you what herbs to take. I'd rather do the natural hippie stuff lol. I know you feel like time is running out but maybe you are putting to much pressure on yourself. Let yourself grieve but also don't be too hard on yourself. Hope you don't take any offense to what I'm saying but you're not alone. We are here for you.
@Mack2342 I'm so sorry you've had such a hard road and are feeling overwhelmed by it all. No one expects to have losses (or deal with IF), and the grief of all of it comes in waives. You are cared for and we are all rooting for you.
Thanks ladies. I've also realized that yesterday was when I got my BFP and it's coming up on a year since the loss. I think that has added to my emotional day. DH said he wanted to just hug the sadness out of me and that hated he couldn't fix it. im so grateful for him and DS and you wonderful ladies! Thank you for all your kind words today!!
CD2. My cycle was a mess last time. Charting and an OPK says I ovulated but I'm not sure I believe it. My cover line is up like an entire degree from before the loss and nothing seems normal. I'm hoping this cycle feels a bit more normal for me.
@Mack2342 sorry you had a rough day, those suck but are so normal
@Mack2342 Oh no, that sounds like a really hard day...so sorry that it's been really rough lately. I hope you're able to get some good rest tonight...and always feel free to vent here!
@zamora_spin Nice!! Hope it's sustained so you can get to TWW-ing! Big FX for you!!
@vlagrl29 Okay, so all that "natural hippie stuff" is my area of expertise (from graduate school and former line of work), so if you ever want to chat about those things in particular, I'm all about it! Soy isoflavones I'm familiar more with for their applications in perimenopause, but I'm a huge fan of vitex for regulation of female hormones, especially when low progesterone may be an issue!
Nice! @rosemaryandthyme - I mentioned in the other thread I got a reiki appt set up next week. I think that is more of a priority currently but I've been doing my natural research to be prepared to talk to OB about next month. As of now my cycles are normal and all hormones tested are normal so I'm not going to take anything yet but I'd be open to it. My anxiety comes out when medication is presented to me as a fix and I think if I took the natural stuff now I'd be looking for some side effect too or what if it messed my cycle up. I just don't want that headache now. It stems from last year with the loss. I blamed myself for the HSG screwing it up.
