July 2017 Pre/TTC & Grad Check-In

Welcome to the monthly pre-TTC, TTC, and TTC Grad check-in. This board is designed to allow those of us considering our next child to update the other members of June 2016 on that journey. Please feel free to post often in this board, updating as the month goes on if your status or details change, or if you have anything inspiring/sassy/a fun gif/etc to add. We are here to provide each other with support, comfort, non-medical answers, and help with the BSC symptom spotting that we know can happen.

Re: July 2017 Pre/TTC & Grad Check-In

  • I started this soooooo

    *What month/cycle? 1/1

*(If you're comfortable) What are you doing to get KU? PNV, checking CM, BBT, got some Pre-Seed because breastfeeding apparently makes me the Sahara, OPK, and the obvious

*Any symptom spotting chart stalking craziness we can help with? I didn't use OPK before, but I got some cheap Wondfos and thought I'd give it a shot because it was pretty well blind luck last time. I've had some issues over the last few days (CD 13-14) of recording my OPK as negative at 5 minutes, taping it to my list because I'm a crazy person, and then coming back later that day or the next day, and it looks darker, maybe even positive. Last two days have been like that and it's making me doubt what I saw the first time. Haven't seen any temperature changes, but I'm wondering if I should really just stop making myself crazy and throw away the old tests. I was hoping to educate myself on my progression pattern, but I can't make sense out of it.  :|

*General questions, updates, r/r Nervous to be starting this journey over again. DH is once again reluctantly agreeing to move into trying. He was reluctant but adamant last time too, if that makes any sense. He never really seems excited, but when I explain to him that it's ok to put it on hold and wait until he's really all about it, he keeps insisting that this is the right time, and it's just nerves about going through the newborn phase again, trying to handle 2 under 2 (if we're lucky the first couple of cycles). We'll see...

    For Pre-TTC -

*How long until TTC begins? fairly soon I want to be pregnant before my daughter is 2 and last time it took us about a year to conceive her

*How is the wait going? I'm getting anxious to start TTC

*General questions, updates, r/r: So I went off birth control two months ago because it was causing problems. Sorry if this is TMI but I've been having creamy discharge the past few days I'm supposed to get my period in 4 days. I'm trying to think back if this happened with my daughter this early and I can't remember  lol anyone else experienced this I tested and it was negative but it had an evaporation line or what i think was one so I'm going to test again after i miss my period.

  •  When did you find out you were pregnant? How did you tell your SO this time around? Feel free to share any other details you're comfortable with (what were you doing to get KU, how long were you trying this time, etc)

I found out today. We weren't doing anything to get KU this time.

*How far along are you/when are you due?

    5w3d, due 3/2

*Future or recent appointment updates? 1st appointment 7/21

*Team Pink or Blue? We find out next month.

*How is this pregnancy different from/similar to June '16? Last time I found out 9 DPO, this time I just realized my period was late. Last pregnancy took me 19 months to conceive, lots of ovulation tests, and temperature taking. This time we did nothing except I just had a feeling I was ovulating and got KU on the first try.

  • Congrats @cmac827! Will you be joining the March 2018 birth month club? I don't know if you saw but they got off to a rough start with drama, their first few threads were shut down. Hopefully it will be more peaceful going forward : )

  • How far along are you/when are you due?

9/14 but we scheduled our rcs for 9/12 at my last appointment. 30 weeks along. 3/4 of the way there!

    *Future or recent appointment updates?

Appointments are every two weeks now. Next one is on Monday. Did gd test last time and got no phone call about results, so I am hoping I've avoided that complication!

    *Team Pink or Blue?

    Team green!

*How is this pregnancy different from/similar to June '16?

This baby moves so much differently than Adi did. Adi stayed in one place and pushed from the inside. She also had the hiccups 24/7. This one is all over the place. I can feel big roll over and punches and kicks all over the place. Not very many hiccups. More insomnia with this one. That's tough on top of the now walking toddler.

  • @splsmama2016- yes, we're testing early to find out the sex. We did it last time too.

  • I wanna see these new bumps. I loved being pregnant and love this group. We aren't planning on TTC until June next year so they can be roughly 3 years apart but I'm so excited for all of you who are currently going another round. Congrats everyone.

  • Haha!! @jerseygirl9090 I heard the drama over there is RIDICULOUS!!! But apparently Dec '17 just got called out for being mean and not holding hands with drive by posters by someone in January...

i don't participate much on either BMB (here or Dec) because it's tough chasing a toddler and growing a tiny human at the same time.... that and I hate bumping from my phone. Haha.

20 weeks for me tomorrow!! I'd share a bump pic, but I'm already in bed. Lol.

Jan 2018 was definitely ripe to have some drama...I mean the posts did make my eyes bleed, but I eventually figured out what she was trying to say.  Some of the GIFs were priceless.  Overall the thread was pretty tame...especially compared to some of the epic June 2016 ones.  No one got banned.

I cannot decide if this pregnancy is worse or better than the first, but I am definitely exhausted...adding a toddler to the equation has made it interesting.  I keep thinking about all the things I won't be able to do once the bump gets bigger. I have a recent bump pic, but not on this PC.  I will edit post later with the pic from my phone.  Exciting thing about this time is that I have been able to feel the baby so much sooner since my placenta is to the back this time.
