Any upcoming appointments this week? Not til the 18th!
Any new symptoms or cravings? I cramp more and get tightening more often when I stand for extended periods of time. This makes stand up meetings at work 100% unbearable
Rants/Raves/Questions? I can't believe that we can officially say that we will have a baby here NEXT MONTH! I'm so excited and terrified and overjoyed.... it's a lot of emotions and the baby isn't even here yet haha
What's your sleeping plan for after baby arrives? (crib, bassinet, co-sleeper, etc.) I hope to start the baby in the crib from day 1 since the room is right next door to our room. But we have a back-up bassinet plan just in case.
Any new symptoms or cravings? Heartburn for no reason. I thought it was due to caffeine, chocolate, and red sauce so I cut them out, but NOPE- still getting it for no reason.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone else have a baby that hiccups a lot? This baby gets them 3-4 times a day for 10-15 mins each time with no rhyme or reason why (e.g., after I eat or drink). I've been getting them since about 28 weeks and at that time, the one OB said not to be concerned.
What's your sleeping plan for after baby arrives? (crib, bassinet, co-sleeper, etc.) We plan on a using the bassinet part of the pack 'n play in our bedroom for a bit to make it easier on nightime feedings since the nursery is downstairs and our bedroom is upstairs. Also, I'm sure I'd be too paranoid as a FTM to leave my baby on another floor of the house and keep going up and down the stairs all night.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Regular appointment and group b strep test Wednesday, then I start going weekly! They will be checking my cervix from now on. It feels so close!
Any new symptoms or cravings? Getting more uncomfortable. More hip pain and random pains. I was getting a little queasy in the evenings but I started drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea and it's pretty much gone away (not sure if there's a correlation)
Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel so close! I am determined to at least start putting a couple things in my hospital bag as soon as I finish this post. I plan to pack very lightly since I used almost nothing that I brought last time haha.
What's your sleeping plan for after baby arrives? (crib, bassinet, co-sleeper, etc.) We are going to try the bassinet. DD hated it and had reflux so we ended up using a rock n play and then when the reflux got better we moved her to a pack n play. We will see if this baby is the same or if she can lay flat from the beginning.
ETA: We keep our babies in the room with us for the first 4-6 months to make nighttime feeding/changing easier and *supposedly* to reduce SIDS. DD started sleeping in her crib around 5 months and it was perfect since she was getting good long stretches of sleep then and wasn't pooping during the night anymore. I also was a little more relaxed since she wasn't spitting up during the night anymore. Our nursery is on a different floor than our master.
How big is baby? Had to check...apparently this week it's celery
Any upcoming appointments this week? None
Any new symptoms or cravings? Just more uncomfortable in general
Rants/Raves/Questions? Obviously want the baby to be full term but I finally feel like the house is ready which just makes me feel so excited for him or her to get here! It'd probably be best if it were after our childbirth classes are complete, though.
What's your sleeping plan for after baby arrives? (crib, bassinet, co-sleeper, etc.): we have the pack n play set up in our room at the bassinet height and also have the newborn sleeper attachment in that. Planning to have the baby in our room for at least 6 months but it'll be interesting while I'm still on maternity leave and DH is working.
