Are any of you considering a safety harness or tether for your LOs now that they are walking-ish? Maybe not so much for right now but in the near future? I know there are quite a few people out there who don't like them so I was curious what you all thought.
Saw this on a Groupon yesterday- I have to admit it is pretty silly looking!!
It just looks like a super unsafe swing to me. But really, I couldn't imagine trying to use that to help a baby learn to walk. Following them around with it enough to make it worthwhile? Nope, not for me, thanks

We had the backpack ones for the girls but they were actually kind of more annoying than useful.
I can see keeping track of the bags, trying to convince the girls to keep them on or not run while wearing them so that you're pulled over trying to keep up, could all be issues. I feel like DH, or MIL, will still likely find one that they want to use. I might use it at the zoo so that he can have a little bit of freedom in a safer environment, but not run right into the lake or something. Probably still several months away from being ok with that much freedom though in a public place.

I've never used one for my kids. I wanted them to learn to stay close and hold hands when needed, and just used a stroller or carrier if it was a really busy or difficult place. If I had a runner I might though. Some kids just take off!
