Re: PGAL Weekly Check-In, Week of June 26
How far along are you? 31 weeks
How are you doing? All things considered, I'm doing fine. I did have a dream last night that I was bleeding and I woke up in a sweat, though.
When is your next appointment? Just had my 32 wk appt this am, all is well. I asked to make my next appt in 3 wks instead of 2 so I can actually be on schedule for the bi-weekly ones instead of a week early.
Rants/Raves/Positive Vibes: Rant: My insurance won't send my breast pump until 30 days before my due date as per their policy. I feel like everyone else gets theirs so much earlier and that 30 days is cutting it close! Rave: school's out for the summer and I won't be back until after my maternity leave in mid November!
GYKY: What are your current discomforts? I had really bad foot pain in the right ball of my foot for about a week. Ice and calf/foot stretches helped, but it took forever to feel better. Also feeling super big/full if I eat a regular sized meal. Gonna try smaller meals throughout the day but right now I'm varying between feeling so hungry and feeling so full if I eat anything.
How are you doing? Not too bad. My mom had a dream that baby came early and I didnt tell her (which is kinda funny) and that we just showed up for our shower with him. It didnt help my fear of him coming too early!
When is your next appointment? Like @szwill86, my next is in 3 weeks, so that Im back on the actual bi-weekly number. Plus my next will be once Im 26 weeks, and thats when my OB wanted to do the strep B test.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Ive been a bit more emotional lately, but I know its all hormones. I cried yesterday becuase I was terrified to ask the jeweler about getting my ring repaired if it needs to be cut off. Im worried that it wouldn't be able to be fixed, and its a super special ring, but to spend 30 minutes crying about it seems a bit much.
My feet are pretty much always somewhat swollen too. its not a lot, but enough, and its driving me crazy. It makes wearing shoes uncomfortable if they swell, and I miss all my cute summer shoes!
GTKY: What are your current discomforts (since we're all getting closer to the end) and how are you handling them? Ive had some nasty cramps on both sides. I am 90% sure that they are gas pains, but they still scare me. I also had some horrible hip/side/stomach pain on Friday. I was so uncomfortable, and I really dont know what the cause was. Every twinge makes me worry that hes coming any moment. I dont think I would be worried after 36 weeks, but thats still 2 weeks away.

How are you doing?
I'm doing pretty well. I definitely have more aches and pains now, but overall I still feel good.
When is your next appointment?
Friday.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
The hospital where I'm delivering has a sibling preparation class once per month. DS1 did it when I was pregnant with DS2. I thought DS2 would enjoy the class too and he seemed excited about it. I signed up a few months ago and I just got an email saying the class is being rescheduled for the following week when we're not available. I'm really annoyed because the next class isn't until 2 days before my scheduled c-section and I'll probably deliver before then. I would've signed up for an earlier class if I had known the date was going to be moved. DS2 was really disappointed when I told him although I'm sure he'll get over it.
GTKY: What are your current discomforts (since we're all getting closer to the end) and how are you handling them?
I've been getting lower back and sciatica pain when I overdo it, if I move a certain way or sometimes while sleeping. Luckily it usually goes away pretty quickly. I've also been getting more leg cramps in the middle of the night and some of them leave my calf sore through the morning. I've been staying away from bananas since being told that I need to watch my sugar so I'm sure that doesn't help. I'm trying to be more careful about the way I move and stretch my legs while sleeping.

How far along are you?
35 weeks! 35 (ish) days left!
How are you doing?
I'm good. I'm finishing up up working 36 hours straight (IV Eindhoven taken two naps during that time), so I'm struggling a little, but my last overnight shift happens this weekend and then I'm done (will just have my regular, day job).
When is your next appointment?
Friday! And I'm onto weekly appointments.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I am so close! On one hand, I can't wait ain't the to meet this baby. On the other, I'm not ready for this pregnancy (my last ever) to end.
GTKY: What are your current discomforts (since we're all getting closer to the end) and how are you handling them?
I'm actually pretty comfortable. We've increased my chiropractic visits to weekly, so I think that helps. I'm also planning to try to get a full body massage in a few weeks. I will say I'm peeing way too often now. Makes it hard to sleep much!
