How far along are you & how big is baby?  33 weeks and the size of a ferret 

Upcoming appointments?  Tomorrow morning

Symptoms?  I think little dude has shifted downward a little because my heartburn has become more manageable this last week. I do however live on the toilet, how can one person pee sooooo much?? 

Cravings?  Now that I can eat again.. um all the food??? Specifically some pizza

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already? Pretty much "how to be an adult" they'd cover how taxes work (again because no one was listening in government class) and how to do them. How loans work. How different types of mortgages work. How credit works. Investments and retirement funds. (I know some schools teach this mine did not). I know waaaaaaay too many people my age who have NO clue how any of that stuff works.

I found out at my last appointment that my placenta is in the front. I had read others talk about it, but I figured the doc would have told me before. DH hadn't felt baby really until last week and that's what had prompted me to say something, because at my last appointment he hadn't felt her at all.

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already?          
10000000% agree @Nxy, basic life skills classes all 4 years.

Upcoming appointments?   Not til next week. I'm excited it's at a better time for traffic, though (mid-morning)

Symptoms?  Achy hips, heartburn 

Cravings?  Chips and salsa (ask me how this helps my heartburn)

Rants/Raves/Questions?   My dog found an extra baggy of food from when he was going hiking with my husband, so he basically ate a second dinner. The last time he found extra food he bloated up super bad. This time we limited water so he wouldn't bloat and he seems okay. He just woke me up multiple times last night to get a small drink which was obnoxious. I'm trying to sleep before baby comes, man!

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already?  Like pp said, basic life skills. I'd add in laundry and basic cleaning.

Upcoming appointments?   This coming Friday. 3 hour glucose tolerance test & regular check-up. Kinda terrified at the thought of GD (I've never failed the 1hr before). 

Symptoms?  Morning sickness (yep, still), heartburn, insomnia, fatigue, hungry, hot (it's been in the 90's), lazy, bitchy 

Cravings?  I've had my weekly Qboda quota, and fresh fruit is a must. I had some delicious peaches last week, watermelon and bing cherries too. 

Rants/Raves/Questions?   What week do cervical checks start? 

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already?   A basics class like PP said. Topics should include how to write a check, balance your checkbook/account, how to change a tire, sow a button, how to grow and cook healthy foods, how to file your taxes, drivers ed, budget/savings, how to make a fire (I could go on, but I'm lazy ).

32 weeks! Gosh this is going so fast!!! Size of a yellow squash. 

Upcoming appointments?   

Just had one Friday. Sonogram to check size. Baby is perfect! Estimated 3lbs 12oz...head down. 

Symptoms?

My brother's mother-in-law is being so sweet and throwing me a baby shower. I was NOT expecting to have one this time around so I am so very thankful! 

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already? 

How to not suck at life. Basic life skills. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Better social skills in general. How to have a conversation with a real person...not a cell phone.

Not until the 6th yet but I have to contact the MFM office for an u/s and the diabetes counsel session.  

Symptoms?  
Cranky af. 

Cravings?  
None. 

Rants/Raves/Questions?   
Is this when the nesting urge kicks in? Because I really need that energy these next few weeks to get my house packed up, move out, and organize the new house to some degree.


GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already?      
How to actually communicate with someone. All these kids now have no idea how to have a conversation that isn't via text.

 I have a family member that coaches a college sport and you would not believe the amount of texts they receive asking for a full scholarship!! These kids can't even place a phone call or arrange an interview to ask for 250k!!!

31 weeks - asparagus 

Upcoming appointments?   
I have 2 on Friday: one with my OB and the other with the diabetes monitoring place.  

Symptoms?  
Insomnia, leg cramps in the middle of the night, constipation and some lower back pain.

Cravings?  
Knowing that I have to watch my sugar, I of course want all of the things I shouldn't have like ice cream, pasta, etc.

Rants/Raves/Questions?   
It would've been nice to spend more time outdoors this weekend, but I feel like I accomplished a lot.  I finally tackled the laundry and the piles of clean clothes that needed to be put away, washed blankets and sheets for the baby, cleaned out more of the nursery and organized 3 closets.  I usually don't have much of a nesting instinct, but this time I guess it finally kicked in.  I still have a bit more to do, but I feel less stressed. 

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already?        
I definitely agree with others about life skills.  Teenagers need to understand the basics of being a responsible adult.

How far along are you & how big is baby? 33 weeks - Celery Upcoming appointments? Nothing this week! Symptoms? Had a bit of swelling in my hands over night but this past weekend I wasn't great at keeping up with water and such - I had super busy weekend with friends and family over all weekend for the shower. Cravings? Right now - water Rants/Raves/Questions? Had a great weekend with my university roommates - we had a baby free/husband free weekend for the first time in 3 years and it was so much fun. We went on a wine tour and even though I couldn't drink I had a blast!! GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already? while there's already classes like this, I think they should be manditory - Home Ec for cooking and cleaning with a focus on what healthy eating does for you.

Rants/Raves/Questions?   Baby shower is this upcoming weekend and I'm excited just to see everyone and most esp to get my Hawaiian Floral crown & a blow out hahaha. Awaiting to hear when our Admin Assistant plans my work shower. 

GTKY: What is the one thing that should be taught in high school that isn’t already?     Like others said earlier, basic life skills, responsibility, how to make a resume, etc. Oh...how to not expect everything be presented to you on a silver platter! LOL.

Most of us on here were raised during the days of minimal internet and cell phone use so we didn't have the luxuries of LinkedIN, Indeed.com, etc. We actually got out there to market ourselves, talk to recruiters, network, apply for jobs in our teenage years through PAPER applications, etc.  LOL!!
