Exercise & Fitness Check-In 6/23

Happy Friday Ladies! How have we kept our bodies moving?

1: How far along are you?

2: How was your last week?

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?

5: Rants/Raves/Questions?

6: GTKY: what is the most adventurous thing you have ever done (doesn't have to be exercise related just whatever that means to you)?

1: How far along are you?  38w3d

2: How was your last week? Great- got 6 days in. 2- 45min elliptical sessions and 4x heavy crossfit sessions. I feel like I have a weight hanging between my legs all the time so why not add more! But seriously things are getting uncomfortable hence the switch to elliptical for some though swimming on Sunday and we are at the pool almost every day with DD at the gym just playing which feels great.

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?  same old 5-6 days of workouts

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
I have a massage Sunday and she is hardcore going after ALL the uterus points!!!

5: Rants/Raves/Questions? these heavier more intense contractions I've had since my prodromal labor scare Monday night are not fun especially strewed throughout the day every day

6: GTKY: what is the most adventurous thing you have ever done (doesn't have to be exercise related just whatever that means to you)?

i suppose it would be between the 40 day whitewater canoeing and backpacking in the Brooks Range in Alaska with NOLS and the two week backpacking through a Europe hostel style I did with my brother. I would absolutely love to do another long outdoor trek again though and want my kids to have some kind of similar experience at some point

2: How was your last week? Sad.  Trainer cancelled Monday, and I was pathetic on Wednesday.  I have very little energy or motivation left.

3: What are your goals for the week ahead?  I have jury duty next week (and today was may last day of school), so my goal is just to decompress.  I would like to do some fun day trip to an aquarium or zoo with DS before he's not my only baby anymore, and before camp starts, but I'm not sure if I'll be called in all week.  If not, my goals are family related, not fitness related.

4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Snuggle my big baby.

5: Rants/Raves/Questions?  Just the lack of motivation.  I'm seriously fried from this school year, and I want to float in the pool.

6: GTKY: what is the most adventurous thing you have ever done (doesn't have to be exercise related just whatever that means to you)?  I climbed an "active" volcano in Santorini, Greece.  It was amazing.

@chiquita928 I hear you on getting all the cuddles and time with my first! This is my second weekend I haven't shot a wedding with DH (we hired a second shooter) so I've had the extra time to soak up with her which had been great. This last week was my first not coaching swim team either and this coming week is my last work week for my chef job so it's been nice to have the extra time to bond before DS comes and get ready mentally and physically as much as I can. Of course it also means I'm insanely uncomfortable and this prodromal labor is kicking my butt throughout the day as 39 weeks looms!

  • @JAM85 I'm glad you are finally slowing down a little, and getting in some time with your DD. I'm afraid to look up prodromal labor, so whatever is happening there, I hope find some relief! I'm discovering that DS is happy to simply play a game or watch a movie with me, and that makes me happy, too. Now, if only I could find a comfortable way to sit on my couch...*sigh*
