I have my A/S today. I super excited about seeing this little girl. It sucks though that I won't be able to get the results until Tuesday.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm still bummed that I still don't look pregnant to the average person. My family and friends can tell as I'm bigger but I still look fat. I know it's going to be a while as I am tall so the baby has plenty of room to grow up before growing out but it still sucks.
5) GTKY: What fictional place would you most like to go? Ariel's underwater kingdom
Tired, and pregnancy hormones have left me crying the past few days, but physically pretty good. Had a lot of trouble sleeping last night, but on the plus side yoga and the chiropractor have really helped my back so it isnt sore.
3) Any appointments this week? Nope, next appointment is July 6th.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Yoga yesterday was a huge mood booster, I needed to get out of the house and be around some people, and it did the truck. I felt so much better and more relaxed afterward.
5) GTKY: What fictional place would you most like to go? I don't know! Maybe Rivendale. It was always so stunning in the movies.
2) How are you feeling? struggling these last few days. Hormones, stress and still with nausea.
3) Any appointments this week? not until July 6th.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? just feeling discouraged. Pregnancy has been hard and definitely not feeling the glow. I am so thankful to be pregnant and know that this will all be worth it but just having a rough time.
5) GTKY: What fictional place would you most like to go? I honestly don't know.
@cubsfan7 hope your scan went well! And yay for being halfway there @Perfectypo sorry you've been crying but glad yoga helped. Thinking maybe I need to do something like that.
@angkay711 sorry you've been having a hard time. Yoga really helped because it was me time. I just needed to get out of the house and distract myself. Hopefully you can find something to do for you that will help a bit with the hard time you are having.
@mparm91 glad you get to go see your bff, hopefully you have a fun and relaxing time.
2) How are you feeling? Good pregnancy wise but have been battling an awful cough and sore throat for almost ten days now. It's the type that keeps you up at night, went to see the doctor yesterday and there's basically nothing to be done, arg.
3) Any appointments this week? Second AS (couldn't see a few things like sex on the first) and OB appointment on Monday.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Just frustrated by this cough, hopefully it leaves me alone soon but right now it feels pretty endless. Also not feeling baby yet, so ready for those flutters.
5) GTKY: What fictional place would you most like to go?
@ooodalollly how exciting! hope your announcement went well!!
@Perfectypo I have insomnia from time to time too....maybe I should look into doing some yoga! glad you found something to help control the emotional hormonal craziness!
@ames011 oh no, I had a bad cough early in April and was able to take a lite dose of Promethazine DM (took a spoon a day for 2 days) and it did the trick for me. Maybe talk to your doc about it and see if that's okay?

Good. My energy is high right now, and I know I should take advantage of it to get some baby things done - but I have summer fever!
3) Any appointments this week?
I had my AS earlier this week and all looked good! The little boy is very active - he'll probably be bouncing off the walls when he's born.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I actually normally have a lot of anxiety, but have been very even keeled throughout pregnancy (this is my first). But now I'm scared about postpartum issues! If I feel good now, that's likely to change when my hormone levels plummet. Anyone else worried about postpartum depression/anxiety?

And yes, that is something I'm worried about. I had a hard recovery combined with PPD with my first. I don't say that to scare anyone though, because it's not something you should expect to happen to you. Talk to your doctor or midwife because they may be able to suggest preventative measures if it's something you are at risk for. But also know that the Baby Blues are a very common but not long lasting effect of the hormone crash, so even if you feel weepy for a few days, it doesn't necessarily mean you will develop PPD.
@buhundbae i am quite worried about getting PPD. I've already warned DH about it and assured him I will get help if it does happen. I'm so far from all my family and friends and still struggle with being sad/homesick around holidays. It has been difficult and thankfully my mom is coming over to stay with us a few weeks and help out, but I think when she leaves I might have trouble.
@ooodalollly thanks for your input and advice, good to know you can get the blues without PPD and also good to hear about making sure to talk to put healthcare providers.
@Perfectypo thanks for the support. I hopefully have the day off on Monday if I don't end up having to go in for jury duty so I will try to do something nice for myself. @CubsFan7 glad things went well. It sounds like several other ladies have had to go back as well. Hoping my baby cooperates but it isn't the worse thing to have another peek at the baby.
I am worried about ppd as well as I have struggled with depression. I have a great therapist though and know myself pretty well so hopefully that will help. I agree if you are worried talk to the doctor and get info.
