I have my A/S Thursday and cannot wait to see baby girl again. The only thing that sucks is I won't get my results the same day. I will have to wait until Tuesday of next week.
I failed my 1 hour glucose screening, so I have my 3 hour follow up on Wednesday and I am NOT excited about it. I failed my 1 hour with my first two. I failed the 3 hour with my son, and passed the 3 hour with my daughter, so there's some hope that I will escape GD. Fingers crossed!
Everything looked good! They put the gender in an envelope for my husband. Eeeek! I told him he could surprise me since I always get to know the pregnant part first. Can't wait to see what he comes up with
I have another scan in 4 weeks because they couldn't get a profile or a certain view of the heart. Baby was planking face down and couldn't be turned
Also my lovely mother in law keeps telling me she can't see anything in all the scan pics I send her. Granted they're not the best, but I am so tired of hearing how much better all my SIL's scans were than mine.
@ooodalollly that is crappy. How about just be happy that you are sending pics? Mine haven't been the greatest so I haven't sent any out. Glad your appt went well!
Eek I have to pee so bad. This is going to be a long wait until 3 pm.
Lol on my scan this afternoon noon I had two bottles of Gatorade and I was dying. At one point I could not take it anymore during the scan so I begged to go pee and the tech was kind enough to let me as she was done looking at the heart.
PSA: Drinking Gatorade or something sweet instead of water will result in a extra hyper baby on the scan which may or may not be a good thing depending on the technician.
Oops I posted in the wrong place!! Everything looked good! Currently at the RMV but looking at that little piece of paper when we get home Baby was upside down before they let me pee. While the tech was out I had a stern talking to with baby asking him/her to please flip over so we could get a cute profile shot. Luckily, our child is obedient!
@ShePersisted LO was fairly cooperative. I decided against a cookie after lunch just in case it made baby bounce around or something. The things we do for our children. I had a 32 oz water bottle and a can of seltzer water prior to the appointment. SO HYDRATED.
@liz4382 I wanted to!! But I was worried he (omg he!!!) wouldn't cooperate and we had to get to the RMV after. Finally got around to changing my last name on my license
I had my normal 4 week check up yesterday. I have been a little concerned that my uterus isn't growing. When I lay on my stomach I can feel my uterus, but it seems like I have felt it in the same spot for the past month. When I told my doctor my concern, he first scolded me for laying on my stomach, oops. He then said he'd measure my uterus. After hearing her (eek, HER!!) heartbeat at 146 bpm, he felt for the top of my uterus. It was maybe a half inch below my belly button. I could even feel it. When I'm laying on my stomach I'm not feeling the top of my uterus. Only where it curves which would be the middle of my uterus. I felt SO relieved. But I also feel that my uterus is up high for only being 17 weeks.
@cwalker042 I am in the same boat. I think my stomach is the same size last 3 weeks and some days I actually think it looks smaller which I think is fine. We just had the AS yesterday so that assures me that baby is growing and how my stomach appears is not something to worry. At least not at this stage of the pregnancy.
I had the same worry and doc said everything looks great yesterday. LO wouldn't stop kicking for a moment so she had a heck of a time hearing the HB! Lol
AS today and we successfully remained team green! (I was SO nervous and kinda had the reverse fear of baby being overly cooperative. Lol!) S/he stayed pretty chill the whole time and barely moved, much to the chagrin of the tech. But they got everything they needed. HB 164, approx 13 oz, 52nd percentile! Doc was very pleased outside of the fact she play pouted that we weren't finding out gender. Haha.
