2) Symptoms? sensitive and hard nipples
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? not really flutters are picking up so that is good. i feel little limbs dragging across my uterus but they aren't very strong yet.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? ANXIETY MEDS!!! other than that just sticking with the olde faithful ways of doing things pending DS is on board with that. going to try a little harder to BF than i did with DD2, but i am still a little hyper aware about damage it did to DD1 so i don't have much faith i will go very long/hard.
May Siggy Challenge: Parenting Fails
Either 20w2d (according to me) or 20 weeks today (according to OB) due right around the end of October
2) Symptoms?
Heartburn!!! Ugh, so bad! Had it terrible with DD starting around 17 weeks.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions?
Anatomy scan tomorrow! So excited we can find out what we're having! DH wanted team green last time, said we could find out this time.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous?
I will try a little harder to make BF work this time. I'll also focus more on what is best for me and baby and not friends/family this time. Also really going to try to prepare meals and such ahead of time this time around.
2) Symptoms? Sore back and hips. Short of breath at times.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? I need to get DS to go to bed without requiring me to sleep on the floor for hours first.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? We aren't traveling like we did last time. I'm sick of everyone always expecting us to come to them when it's much harder for us to coordinate/pack/travel with a toddler. Add in a newborn and I'm just thinking "nope".

And listening to him scream like that just makes my anxiety worse.

2) Symptoms? My feet stayed swollen when we were in Alabama for two weeks. Since coming home they are finally back to normal. Guessing it was my body's way of saying it hates the heat lol, they stayed swollen with DD1. This baby girl is super lowww (really didn't think it was possible since I'm so short), so I have achy hips, pain in my pubic bone sometimes, and lots of kicks to the cervix and bladder already lol. The occasional heartburn, but since she's so low it's been a lot better than it was the first go around.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm seriously loving the baby kicks. She's kicking away while I'm sitting here. Also, on the topic of heartburn, these Tums Chewy Bites are amazing! They are yummy and work better than the chalky ones (I can take two and they work better than 4 of the smoothies)
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous?
I know I'll have to try and lay her down more for naps than I did with DD. I plan on starting her with naps in her Pack n Play instead of the bouncer, so she will be more used to a flat surface at night. Sounds good in theory anyway lol.
2) Symptoms? Feeling pretty good. A little heartburn and super dry skin are my only real complaints.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? Anyone have any suggestions for the dry skin? It's only my belly that has it. I did not have this much of an issue last time. I drink a ton of water, use palmers cocoa butter every night before bed, and have been applying regular jergens lotion in the am and when I get home from work. It's really bad - like little skin flakes are rubbing off on my pants, my skin looks really dry, and it's a little itchy. I'm totally expecting stretchies to start popping up any day now, even though I didn't get any last time.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? Not so many visitors at the hospital or at home right away. Trying to stick to a routine/schedule (for me, not baby) to maintain my sanity. Putting baby down to nap in her crib more frequently in hopes that she won't become completely dependent on me for sleep like DD was/still is. I'm sure there are other things but these in particular have been on my mind lately.
2) Symptoms? Insomnia comes and goes. One of the midwives scared me away from taking Unisom because she said the baby could become dependent on it, but yesterday my OB said that wasn't true.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? I just wish I could drink multiple glasses of wine.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? Going to try to get her sleeping on a flat surface from the beginning instead of in the rock n play. We'll see how that goes. With BFing, it was fine at the beginning for us (around 6 months is where my problems started) but I can't decide if I'm going to use an app to track feeding times and frequency again or if that caused me more stress than it was worth.
*O17 June Siggy Challenge - You had 1 job!*
2) Symptoms? Waking up in the morning with hip pain. Thankfully not too bad yet but it's starting. Last pregnancy I would feel about 90 years old first standing up in the morning.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? also on board the missing wine train. DH has cut out a lot of junk food from his diet recently, but will still have some wine or a beer here and there. The other night we were watching TV and I grabbed some M&Ms and he goes "you're really going to eat those in front of me?" And it only took me about .034 seconds to respond with "yes, because you get to drink wine in front of me for 9 months." Suck it up, DH.
Potty training is my biggest rant. It's come to a halt
for the time being. We were doing ok, and she used the potty a few times but now she has full on melt downs if I even attempt to put her on the potty and if I even ask her if she needs to go it's a firm NO. Every single time. Sigh. I don't want to stress both us out so we are taking a break for a few weeks. May start up with the three day method just to see what happens when we do give it another go.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? Nothing too much unless it's allergy related which we've already touched on today in the other thread! I just know I'll be not so afraid to leave the house with a newborn. I remember the first time going out to eat with DD when she was a couple weeks old. I texted a friend because I was nervous to take her to a restaurant and she pretty much laughed at me and was just like "this is easy, wait til you have a toddler!" Yeah. She was right.
@jessafishy that's tough. At this point I would try the lock or a gate and let him CIO. I know it sucks but you have to take care of yourself too. When we took DDs pacifier away at night time I had to go sit outside and play dumb games on my phone to keep my mind off of her because I just could not handle listening to her scream and cry. Maybe that would help the anxiety?

23w3d - October 9th
2) Symptoms?
Mostly just sore pelvis/hips, moving a lot slower
3) Rant/Rave/Questions?
We are keeping DS in daycare during my maternity leave. DH and I typically split drop-off and pick-up responsibility. Since we have flexibility, if you had a choice which one would you do? While I'd like to think I'd sleep longer in the AM if I chose pick-up over drop-up, the reality is I will probably be up with DH and DS anyways and maybe it would be good to get in a groove getting up (so long as our nights aren't incredibly miserable).
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous?
As with @purplestarz - mostly what I discussed in the POTD and introducing solids earlier if possible due to DS's allergies. I'm not going to underestimate how involved and how much of an opinion my DH has. He was more likely to micromanage me, than I was to micromanage him - but I got really frustrated/angry because I somewhat assumed he would just let me make the calls - I'll know better (and so will he.. he has things to work on too) and have a better approach.
BFP in September 2014, DS born June 2015.
TTC x2 months.
BFP January 2017.
2) Symptoms? Really bad heartburn!!
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? Not at the moment
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? I plan on waiting til 6 months to start food this time and not Co sleeping!! It was so hard to get ds out of our bed lol
2. Usual tiredness and aches
3. Just enjoying our vacation as it will be the last one for awhile.
4. Plan on introducing solids around the same time as last, just hoping to introduce textured foods sooner. DS had a big issue with textured foods when he was little and we may have introduced them too late. I may do a combo of BLW and puréed. We will see once they are here!
23+3/Oct 9
2) Symptoms?
Getting tougher to bend over and carry around my other kids for too long
3) Rant/Rave/Questions?
Baby is kicking around a lot. I love the feeling!
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous?
Not that I can think of. With this being baby #3, we've done/tried all sorts of things with our previous two (purees, baby led weaning, sleep training/not sleeping training, etc.). We will go with the flow and just do what works best for our family!
I thought I did this.... silly brain
) How far along are you/when is your due date? 5months!!! EEEEEEEEK! Oct 18th.
2) Symptoms? Mild backaches, crotch spasms and out of breath bad. I did not have any of these problems first time.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions? What are you doing with LO1 when LO2+ arrives? MIL will take over looking after DS for us because he is already used to her. I'm not sure if he should stay at hers or stay at home where it's more familiar. He goes to hers 3x a week but has not stayed overnight before. She wants to do a few test runs beforehand.
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? Stress less about feeding. Omg i kept record of every feed for a month. Stuff that. When the baby is done, he is done right? I'll try to actually use the bassinet this time because I don't want to wear LO2 for every single nap. FX he isn't a velcro baby.

2) Symptoms? Numbness/tingling fingers, lower back pain if I stay in the same position for too long.
3) Rant/Rave/Questions?
4) GTKY: Anything your are planning to do differently with this baby than with your previous? Not really. My youngest child is 6, so things may be different just because. We'll see.
