Re: Tuesday Ticker Change: 6/13
11 weeks! Baby is the size of a lime!
2. How are you feeling?
Feeling good. Got sick Sunday night and threw up, but I think it was because I had been in a car for 12 hours that day on a road trip and it just didn't agree with me.
3. Any appointments this week?
No appointments this week, but I have my Harmony test next Monday...so we should get results back from that within 7-10 business days!
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Nothing right now.
5. GTKY: Recently taken a chance by ordering a product online that you hadn't used before? What was it? Did you like it or hate it?
I recently saw the Simple Sugar Scrubs on Shark Tank, so I looked it up online and it had awesome reviews. The girl that started the company (when she was 11) stated that she had eczema growing up and could never find anything that work. I instantly knew where she was coming from, because I've always had the same problems. She said this completely cured her eczema. I got on their website a couple of weeks ago and read their claim that you just use this all natural scrub in the shower, and you don't have to put any lotion on your skin when you get out. I figured I would try it for $18...that's a penny in the bucket for all of the other things I've spent money on throughout the years. I tried it out for the first time last night and didn't put lotion on afterwards just to see what would happen, and I cannot believe how amazing it was! My skin is softer than it has ever been and I didn't even use any lotion. I usually have the worst luck ordering stuff online, but so glad I tried this!
2. How are you feeling? No more all day nausea, just some intermittent pangs of dizziness and some more intense nausea at night. Congestion.
3. Any appointments this week? I'm meeting with one of the OBs at my practice tomorrow and scheduling my Panorama.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Can't think of anything right now.
5. GTKY: Recently taken a chance by ordering a product online that you hadn't used before? What was it? Did you like it or hate it? I actually haven't really bought anything online recently. DH and I are doing Dave Ramsey to try and pay down some debt before baby. However, I'm thinking of purchasing CEUs from an online site that I've never used before and I don't know if I'll like the material or the process. We'll see.

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
7 weeks/ blueberry!
2. How are you feeling?
Decent. I have some days that are better than others morning sickness wise. Fresh fruits and veggies are going down easiest as well as lunch meat (yeah yeah, listeria, I'm more worried about it from my salads than my lunch meat).
3. Any appointments this week?
Dating ultrasound tomorrow! Also blood draw, which sucks because I'm a fainter. Last pregnancy they took me to the ER after I fainted because the inexperienced tech kept rolling the needle around in my arm... yuck.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
None that I can think of at the moment. Just that I'm ready for DH to be home from his business trip! One more week!
5. GTKY: Recently taken a chance by ordering a product online that you hadn't used before? What was it? Did you like it or hate it?
Can't say I've tried anything new lately. I'm a creature of habit so it takes a lot to get me to try something new.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
8 weeks, 2x2 Lego : )
2. How are you feeling?
I feel like I have no symptoms most of the time, which is a little unsettling but I was the same way with my 1st. I do get tired in the evening but with an almost 1 year old and a full time job, it doesn't feel like a real pregnancy symptom haha.
3. Any appointments this week?
No but I had my first u/s last week and all looks good, thank God.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Question: So my u/s was ordered by my primary physician bc I don't have an OB yet. She said my due date is 1/22 based on the u/s instead of 1/23 but not sure if my care will change for just 1 day. Should I think of my due date as 1/22 now, or just wait until I see an OB or midwife?
5. GTKY: Recently taken a chance by ordering a product online that you hadn't used before? What was it? Did you like it or hate it?
I just ordered a patio set online from a website I'd never used before. The patio set looks great, and assembly wasn't bad, so yay!
11 weeks! They're a pair of limes or figs now.
2. How are you feeling?
Pathetic! Nausea is still going strong, plus fatigue and brain fog.
I found out some distressing news yesterday (I don't have the job security I thought I did-- it's likely to all work out, but there will be some big changes right around the time I expect to take leave, and oh yeah, I might lose the accumulated PTO I was counting on for that leave). I was so stressed out about it, I barely slept last night, and now I'm pretty sure I'm coming down with a head cold, since I woke up with a really sore throat.
In real life, stress and no sleep can give me a head cold feeling for a day, but then I get better. But I know my immune system is suppressed now, so who knows?
3. Any appointments this week?
I see my ob/gyn for the first time on Thursday (just released from the RE). I've never been to this office, so I hope I like them.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I'm getting fed up with how whiny I feel. I mean, I am very close to getting something I used to dream about, so shouldn't I be able to just be happy, and stop feeling so pitiful? (My internal pep talks are starting to get a little strict-- stop whining and count your freaking blessings!)
5. GTKY: Recently taken a chance by ordering a product online that you hadn't used before? What was it? Did you like it or hate it?
I ordered all kinds of ginger candies. They're all too sweet, not gingery enough. I've given up on candied ginger, and am just putting chunks of raw ginger in hot water.
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
If I hadn't done that, I never would have been able to afford my infertility treatments! It's amazing how many opportunities open up when you take control of your finances. I kind of want to preach the gospel of "paying off credit cards by any means necessary" to everyone I know. Good for you, for committing to improving your financial health!
(Of course, I don't agree with people who think that millennials could totally afford to buy houses if they gave up avocado toast-- the economy stacks the deck against a lot of folks, so if someone is already eating beans and rice and still can't pay down their debt, I don't have any criticism for them AT ALL. But I'm optimistic, and I think a lot of people could improve their lives if they have the courage to take a hard look at their finances, and to try to get control of it.)

2. How are you feeling? feeling pretty good, just hungry all the time and get nauseous if I don't eat frequently enough
3. Any appointments this week? I had one last week on Thursday, doctor said baby was one week younger than I thought because I was counting "beginning of week 1"from day 0,but apparently that was beginning of week 0/end of that week was 1 week preg. Based on that count though, baby was exactly the right size for age. We saw baby! (On a really old and grainy ultrasound but who cares)
4. Rants/raves/questions? I am not sure I want to stay with my current doctor (when I found out I just made an appointment with my obgyn). Partially because I might prefer a different hospital to deliver at, but also I felt very unsettled after my first appointment last Thursday. Maybe mostly just because I hate gyn appointments in general (uncomfortable physically and mentally), or maybe I was expecting a bit less no nonsense attitude, and some more explanations. Thoughts on finding a midwife practice instead? Would it be a very different experience? I expect my pregnancy to be low risk, my doctor didn't indicate otherwise, or else I would definitely stay with/find a new doctor.
5. GTKY: Recently taken a chance by ordering a product online that you hadn't used before? What was it? Did you like it or hate it? @whitta1218 sounds like your chance taking really paid off in this case. I haven't really done it recently but several years ago I ordered two skirts online, one didn't work but the other fits perfectly and I love it.
@KLake42 sorry to hear about your symptoms, hope they get better! Love your tough love pep talk though.
@geshem your description of your appointment is almost exactly why I switched from an OB practice to a midwife practice during my first pregnancy. The doctors I'd been seeing were very brusque and no nonsense, and I always felt really rushed to the extent of forgetting my questions and not getting to kinda "wallow" in the experience of being pregnant. Once I switched it was honestly night and day, I loved that midwife practice, I think the first appointment they spent 90 minutes with me, at least, answering all my questions and really making me feel heard. I never felt like they were too busy for me. I'm definitely a biased opinion though, as I've only had wonderful experiences with midwives!

Baby #4 on the way!
1. 7 weeks, blueberry
2. Overall feeling blah. This week have had all morning nausea that makes me not want to eat or drink anything. And I continue to feel extremely bloated all the time.
3. First consult appt with a midwife practice tomorrow. So excited and nervous. I hope they at least confirm I'm moving along ok by listening to the heartbeat or something.
4. I haven't had an appt yet and am feeling very left out and anxious. Also we haven't told anyone in our families yet so I hate this feeling very alone-ness. Can't wait to tell family next week.
5. None that I can think of.
@iluvgoldies33 try touching and holding anywhere in the text you want to copy and "pulling" the ends of the selected area until you get what you want, then one of the buttons that appears will be to copy, how it looks depends on the type of phone but on mine it looks like a stack of two papers.
