WAYDTGKU: WFAF to GTFO, attempting to lose some weight, BBT, PNV, CM/CP, HIO as much as possible, prayer

R/R: While I was at lunch with my friend a moving truck hit my car while it was parked on the street outside her house. It’s pretty bad damage including a popped tired. Luckily I work from home and don’t really need my car that much but still it’s super inconvenient to be stuck in the house. This is the second time this car has been in an accident (once by my sister and this time). Now I’m trying to figure out what the eff I’m supposed to do about this and it doesn’t seem like anyone wants to give me any straight answers. I’m not paying a cent for this.

CS/Q: Thanks y’all for the advice. Sounds like I’ll just try to temp when I first wake up not depending on time so much. Usually I sleep right to my alarm so hopefully this won’t be too much of a problem.

GTKY: I started babysitting when I was 11 but my first real job was at an ice cream shop (only lasted like 2 weeks because the manager turned out to be a drug dealer and *TW* child pornographer seller /TW) so I would probably say a take and bake pizza shop. I loved that job! The only job I have actually liked in my life.

@MrsMiller8588 – GL in TWW. All the things crossed for you!

@mschanadlerbong1214 – sorry about the missed cycle. I hope that the therapy helps your anxiety. Yay for pizza shop!

@mschanandlerbong1214, sorry about the bad timing for this cycle. I hope that seeing someone helps with the anxiety, TTC can definitely be emotionally challenging.

@justkeepswimming8, that's terrible about your car! It definitely seems like the moving company should be the ones to pay for repairs.

R/R: I wasn't going to post today, but it's so hard to read and not comment, so here I am. I'm going to bed after this, so I won't be on until later.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: This is complicated because my mom ran a gas station and diner while I was growing up, so I worked there a lot! And I babysat. And we had a farm. First laid job that took out taxes was at a restaurant washing dishes!

@mschanandlerbong1214 - I know you've really been struggling with your anxiety this month. I hope that getting back into therapy helps. Will you be going to a therapist you've seen before?
@justkeepswimming8 - I effing hate insurance companies. I hope you were able to get the info from the people who hit you. Don't be afraid to get a little mean on the phone!
@fishsticks-n-custard - I loathed running the HPLC in my lab. Reading your GTKY brought back a flood of emotions, some good and some bad about my grad school days! Oh and congrats on CD1! Let the games begin (after the cramps subside, of course)!
@Augusta108 - I think it's adorable that you now work at the same library where you had your first job! What medication do you take for your migraines? I usually take maxalt or imitrex and I hate the side effects, but it's better than having a migraine for 3 days.
@Stargazer1lily - I'm sorry you got such terrible sleep last night! Hopefully you can go to bed early tonight.
@vflux33 - Ah! It's happening! I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you that this will be your only cycle of clomid. I forgot to tell you that I booked an appointment with the only fertility acupuncturist in Omaha.... August was the earliest opening, but I'm really excited about it. Let us know how it goes!

Luckily the guy who hit me called the cops and filed a report so I'm just waiting on the company's insurance to call me to arrange getting it fixed and hopefully getting me a rental car so I don't have to cancel plans/appointments next week due to lack of car (normally I'd just take DH's car and drop him off and pick him up but because he's having to work late for the foreseeable future, I can't do that because they lock the gates at 6 and it's really difficult to pick him up after 6). My insurance agent called the company to make sure it was reported to them and things have gotten started. Looks like the best way to not have to pay anything is to work directly with their insurance instead of filing a claim with my insurance then have them deal with it. My insurance agent has been super helpful so far so that's good. It'll be a nice repair - tires will need to be replaced, the back bumper at least a paint job, one of the doors and the back panel will need to be replaced and all that is assuming there is no damage to the frame. I got the front bumper replaced a couple of years ago and that alone was $1,000. Unfortunately this will hurt the resale value.

GTKY: What was your first job? So I don't know if this counts as a job, but I got paid so. When I was 14 I was pretty against drinking alcohol, but literally every person I knew had been drinking for at least a year. My best friend drank - no joke - 21 shots of tequila and vomited all over her room (which her parents had built specifically for her: to enter, you had to walk through their fully stocked, professional-looking bar; she had her own bedroom, living room, kitchen and dark room, essentially underneath the main house, but it exited to the pool). Anyway, I joined this program to reduce youth access to alcohol, in which maybe 4-5 of us tried to write policy to get grocery stores to keep hard alcohol in a separate area so it would be harder for kids to steal (my friends either stole bottles from grocery stores or just took from their parents bars).  The group was supposed to have 25 kids, so when it was time for us to get our stipend, they split the full pot of money between 5 of us instead of 25. By the time I was 16, all of us in the group drank fairly regularly so it was sort of a joke. Still got paid tho!

@justkeepswimming8 That sucks about your car! It's good that the other driver went ahead and filed a report and that their insurance is going to pay for your repair. I know that it's a pain dealing with insurance companies at all though. Sorry that it might affect your resale value though.  :/

@Augusta108 Get some rest and feel better!

@vflux33 GL with the clomid! Hopefully the side effects won't be too bad. I'm excited for you this cycle!

@JennyColada Glad that you are happy with your timing this cycle, even without HIO last night. Woot! FX for you.

@purplg8r *TW* I'm sorry that you are feeling so frustrated by your cycle and everything that you have been through. I know how easy it is to get freaked out about what your cycle is doing AL and what it might mean about how long it will take you to get KU. I'm 2AL as well and having some of the same thoughts about my age. I don't know if this is helpful or not, but I'm just trying to focus on the fact that it might take a few cycles for things to level out hormonally so that I'm not like, "omg I didn't o until this date or my LP was only this long- It must mean I'm broken and I'm too old and I'm never going to be able to get and stay KU because I waited too long." It's easy to go down that rabbit hole of worry. Don't do it. I know that you've been TTC longer than I have, so I certainly don't want to minimize that. I just want to encourage you to be kind to yourself and show your body a little grace right now. I still personally feel like you are in that window of recovering chemically after your loss. KWIM? *TW* Anyways, I hope that you have fun on your trip and enjoy the casino!  <3

I quit after 3 months because we moved and the drive was too far for my mom. Plus, I was 16 and getting hit on pretty enthusiastically by managers and coworkers in their mid 30s. Also, lots of lewd comments by male patrons. Not sure why because it was Steak and Shake, so it's not like the outfit was sexy or anything. Maybe it was the area? IDK. Either way, it was gross.

Mobile Bumping from bed after sleeping off my migraine! My OPK was negative, which is a relief since I am not feeling especially sexy at the moment...not only am I rumpled from the migraine, but I am super allergic to something blooming right now!

@pebbledam, I take Maxalt for my migraines. I try to take it as seldom as possible because it does have some unpleasant side effects, but I'm grateful that usually that plus Excedrin Migraine will get the job done. I've actually been having fewer migraines overall since I started taking prenatal vitamins, which I find interesting.

@vflux33 , GL with the Clomid! How was your acupuncture appointment? I've thought about trying that for my migraines but have never gotten brave enough.

@jessicarenee70, those glittery pink mall stores terrified me when I was a teenager! I was never really a girly girl and I figured they'd peg me as a fraud the minute I went in, lol.
