  • My A/S still isn't for another WEEK! Sending good vibes to everyone who has theirs this week. I too am afraid that my Harmony results were wrong and I've been telling everyone this baby it's a girl when really it's a boy. Need some human eyes to confirm it. I'm also anxious because our A/S with DS had some scary findings that turned out to be nothing, but I'm just hoping everything is good and healthy with this one.

  • @tsa208 hopefully hey just couldn't get everything they needed. If it was a case of something they saw, you would be in there quicker.

@tsa208 they probably couldn't get everything they needed. I have to go back too. Either way hugs & thoughts.

  • When is your appointment?
tomorrow morning is my A/S and then I have an appt with a psychologist about 1 hour later.

How far along will you be?
    21 weeks
    What will it entail?
I wa surprised to see a psychologist appt reminder in my mailbox. I have a long history of depression and some mild ppd with my last pregnancy so it's probably not a bad idea.
How do you feel in general ( symptoms *or* thoughts)?
Hormonal and tired.  Baby is kicking more and no further bleeding so I am not so anxious. But every little thing and I'm in tears. It's hard to know what is just hormones.

  • @tsa208 Yes, hopefully there were a few shots they weren't able to get.  That happened to me; I went back today to finish (3 weeks after the initial AS) and the tech was able to get a view of his face and all is well.  They could also be scheduling a growth scan; that was a possibility for me because I have a peripheral/marginal cord insertion.  Fx it's just follow-up!

We were able to finish the AS today despite LO again having body parts in front of his face - first his legs and then the hands.  He was a lot more active today and is breech so I could feel all the kicks on my bladder once he uncurled - it's cute now but can only imagine how uncomfortable that will be in a few weeks!  Everything looked great with his face and he's measuring in the 67th percentile for size despite my cord insertion, so I was relieved!

  • When is your appointment?
It was today at 5:20pm but we waited over an hour!

How far along will you be?
    21.5 weeks

    What will it entail?
    Anatomy scan/gender reveal!!!

How do you feel in general ( symptoms *or* thoughts)?
I was super excited and hoping everything would look good and baby would cooperate so we could find out gender. Everything looked great and baby did...it's a BOY!

  • GL @curlyq423 and everyone with appts tomorrow too!

@jessdg how did your appt go yesterday?

  • @jessdg I'm glad everything looked perfect!

I'm at the obs office ready to get this 3 hour glucose test started. Im hungry, I have a caffeine withdrawal headache and it's FREEZING in here. Even with pants and a jacket on. Why do they keep it so cold???

  • ariz17ariz17 member
@bluejeanbabi05 good luck with your test! Let us know how it goes! I hate cold offices too. Our office is always freezing! Yesterday I had my heater on at work and the girl next to me had her heater AND her heated blanket on lol. Some of the men were even complaining about how cold it was so it wasn't just us!

@dumbledoredies I have the same situation going on with my placenta too. I'm hoping it moves.. I hope yours does too! My OB said its barely a preview and it should move... and since I have no bleeding I should be fine. But a c-section scares me...really giving birth in general scares me.

  • @ariz17 I haven't had any bleeding either! I'm right there with you on being scared of giving birth. I really don't want to have a c-section.. like at all.. but at the end of the day if my baby is healthy then that's all that matters! I hope both of our placentas move lol.

Baby girl cooperated on Friday, so they we're able to get a good look at her heart. Although I had to ask the doctor "does her heart look fine??!" He said yes. I think this guy is like all business and no fluff.

Bad news my placenta hasn't moved yet but they said it was still pretty early. I asked the doctor what would happen if it didn't move and he said that it doesn't move by 36* weeks I'll have to have a c section at 37 weeks which would put my delivery date in September! Noo!! I want to stay here.

@ariz17  My due date is October 1, so I could definitely deliver in September.  I'm not going anywhere and neither should you!
  • @ariz17 you can stay here!! Also- why do they do an early c-section if the placenta doesn't move? If I have to get a c-section 3 weeks before my due date then that puts me super close to my sisters wedding lol. Ahh!
  • ariz17ariz17 member
@dumbledoredies Thanks! I'm not going anywhere. Would you sisters wedding before or after? Either way, ahh! The doctor didn't really explain put what I'm finding from Dr. Google is that the placenta is / can potentially covers your cervix which can block the baby's way out. It also says that the placenta can bleed while your cervix dilates and that's no good either.  :/

@ariz17 lots of people in my original July BMB ended up having babies in June (including me) and a few in August!   Totally normal/fine to stay here!

ETA: says the girl who belongs in November.   :D

  • I have a follow up with my OB at 2:45 today to check on the babies and get a referral to the cardiologist.  Hopefully she'll have some good advice about how much water I should be drinking short of all the water in the world, and whether I might end up needing bed rest, etc.
