I've got some work to get done at some point so I don't have to worry about it next week with the kids being out of school now. I also need to color my hair because holy greys
Tomorrow we have a family dinner for my nephews birthday. I can't wait to see DD2 with SIL's 8 week old again. Last night she was so infatuated with him and was so excited to hold him and give him his bink every time he spit it out. Then when I let DD1 hold him, after about 2 minutes, DD2 kept saying "let me hold him again" and holding her arms out for him. All the heart eyes. She's 3, so it's so cute with her toddler voice listening to her talk to him
Playing in the kids blow up pool all day discussing baby names then going to a wedding reception tonight. I got a new form fitting dress from Old Navy I'm ready to rock out with and show off my bump.
Tomorrow we we have to drive out of town for a graduation party.
Currently working until 12. Then off to get stuff done for a photoshoot ( that may be cancelled due to rain).
If it rains , I don't want to sit around the house all day. I want to do something with the girls. But we're trying to strap money down a little to save to move in the spring. They want to go to the pool but it still has not been warm enough here and drizzles make it colder. I'm not prepping us for a 3rd time to only be there for 30 minutes.
We're driving up into the mountains (really only 30 minutes from our house) to look at a house that we saw posted on Trulia. If we like the location, we will probably show our realtor the listing.
I'm also going maternity clothes shopping later, and probably to Carter's because the nearby outlet is having a buy-one-get-two sale.
Just got back from walking the dog and taking DD to the park to get some energy out before it gets too hot outside. I was completely out of breath walking the half mile to the park. Ugh. I told DH and he goes, "maybe you should start exercising more." UM NO ITS BECAUSE YOUR SON IS SQUISHING ALL MY ORGANS TOGETHER ON THE INSIDE. I know he meant his comment to be helpful but no. Just no.
We just got back and we were about to leave to go get some potting soil and flowers to plant...but then DD says, "let's watch a movie momma!" Ok, that's a better idea lol
i thought about going to carters too for the buy 1 get 2 sale, but next weekend there's going to be a huge pop up kids consignment sale so I'm saving my money for that instead I think.
@sjohns908 that's so adorable! We are going to see my BIL ans SIL next week. They have a 7 month old and I can't wait to see DS with him. The other day he was telling me how excited he was to meet his baby (ours not his cousin) and how he can't wait. I asked him what he was going to do when he meets the baby and without even pausing he said "say I love you" it was so stinkin' sweet, he's 3.5 so his excitement really surprises me.
Good luck with the house @soprano19! That's so exciting!
I am working all weekend so nothing fun here! I start a vacation on Tuesday though, we are going to visit DH's family so it should be fun! I have a dr appt ok the 7th and I'm really hoping they can squeeze our AS in before we head out of town because I have zero patience lol.

I wore a LuLaRoe Julia yesterday and I felt so good. I'm only 18 weeks but it totally made it look like a bump and not bloat. Have fun at the wedding!
I'm at the airport with no children (at least no children outside the womb!) flying to DC for two weeks for work! I wish I could put all the confetti and dancing emojis here! Most moms would be like "oh I am going to miss my kids!" Not this girl! At least not yet. Last night DD1 bit DD2's fingers and then slapped me in the face when I tried to remove her from the situation. Mama needs a breaaaaaaak!
I'm so confused. A few months ago we got our escrow statement for our mortgage along with a check because we had a surplus. Ok, cool thanks. We just got another one in the mail, with another check, and a notice stating our monthly payment is going down by about $100. This is GREAT news but I think I still need to call and ask for clarification because this also seems very strange. I guess we grossly overpaid last year? I have no idea. I wish I understood this stuff better! Who knew extra money would stress me out lol DH is zero help.
@purplestarz that happened to us too. We got two separate checks and I just deposited the money because yayyyyy money. We should probably have called too!
@TallMomma29 well that makes me feel better that you got 2 as well! That is what is really throwing me off! I'm really tempted to just cash it, enjoy my extra $100 a month, and look the other way!
Today has been nice so far! Prenatal yoga, pedicure and nap...going to Greek food festival for dinner and the Netflix binge all night! Anyone watching The Keepers? It's intense. Oh and I'm watching a Prince documentary right now. This is living.
I decided to get crafty today and make a bow for baby girl while DS was napping. I'm totally gonna AW it here because it was my first attempt at ever making a hair bow and I'm proud that it didn't come out looking like garbage lol.
October 2017 May siggy challenge - Parenting fails
I'm struggling with my bump app and how it doesn't allow me to use the forums as easily as I did the first time around. My son always tries to mess with my computer when it's out so I rarely use it anymore!
This weekend is awesome so far. I just went to a meet the doula event and talked about my hopes for a better birth experience this second time around and I felt so supported and heard. The ladies there are awesome and some are even willing to work wth me on a sliding or volunteer scale since we can't afford much right now. Total win!
@callababy17 while I didnt grow up here and my family isn't from here so my parents and grandparents have no ties, they were apart of the Catholic Church and knew of this as it went on. I however do live close now and even closer to where they say Joyce was found- a lady they think has similarities to the murder of Sister Cathy. The catholic school actually just closed it doors for good after graduation two weeks ago.
@curlyq423 Oh the temptation!! I went to a wedding at 8 weeks pregnant and no one knew I was KU yet. So not only could I not drink, I also had to make excuses all night!
Today I did did a little bit of school work, grocery shopped, transplanted my pothos vine into a bigger hanging pot, cleaned the house, and am now about to make dinner. Feeling like a productive lady!!
DH and I are making a Thanksgiving in June dinner tomorrow, and I'm so excited to eat ALL the food. I'm making an apple and blackberry pie to go with!
We spent today at my college (I still live in the same town) for the reunion weekend activities they do every year for classes celebrating 5, 10, 15 years so on and so forth. This was my 10 year reunion. They had a barbeque and we were able to go in all my old dorms and other buildings on campus. My school was all girls until the 70's when they started letting in guys. It was adorable to see all the old ladies walking around checking out their old rooms! I got to see lots of classmates that I haven't seen in quite awhile.
Tomorrow is a baby shower for a dear friend due in July. I hope our babies are great friends!!
@canonmom413 that's crazy. I'm only at episode 6 but once I finish I'm going to need to talk about this whole case. It's horrible!!
It really is insane. Heartbreaking and disgusting. One episode actually had me questioning my own suppressed memories. None of which are even remotely as horrible as what went on in that school. What makes me cringe is the fact that there had to be cover ups. Had to!! And truth be told, most police departments do cover up a lot of things from the public to defend themselves and pretend it's to protect the community. Sickening.
@nbcarlson I never bought any LLR until recently, but now I have two Julias and they look great with a little bump! I don't normally wear dresses that form-fitting, but I feel like they are cute when you're pregnant.
@purplestarz that happened to my mom a couple years ago too. It turned out to be completely legit and her monthly payment was going down as well. Congrats on the free money!
Yesterday on my flight I spilled coffee on my laptop. Aaaaaand now it's dead. At the beginning of a two week business trip where I need a laptop. On the bright side, some how the coffee only spilled on the inside and not the outside of my yellow tieks, and there is both a best buy and an apple store within walking distance from me.
@bluejeanbabi05 oh man, that's what I'm afraid of! I can see myself cashing this and then in a few months or a year they'll be like just kidding, we need that back.
We owned our last house for five years and the payment never changed. I don't think I realized this could happen haha
@purplestarz I think usually it's because they estimated taxes wrong or your homeowners insurance amount changed. So maybe one of those things happened this year? They told me last year that they only assess escrow once a year, so it can take that long for a difference in taxes or insurance to affect the amount you're paying.
DH and I played a round of golf today and I got my first birdie DH is so cute he took a selfie of us and posted it on fb, bragging about how proud he is of my birdie lolol

So I know it's no longer the weekend and I apologize for bring life back into this thread but I decided to call my mortgage company today and I am so glad I did. Kind of. I mean, I might have be happier living in ignorant bliss for a few months.
long story short...PYSCH! my mortgage company sucks big nuts and were estimating our taxes incorrectly. I spent way too long on the phone with them and the tax assessor office. Instead of this free $1000 bucks and a reduction in our payment, our payment is actually going up $20 and we will still have a deficit of $254.
whats even more INFURIATING is they can't take this check back for whatever reason. So I just have to cash it and pay it back to them I guess with my mortgage payment.
so, really it's like they just should have kept our payment the same and never sent us this check. So I guess I can't complain too much other than the fact this could have all been avoided.
Moral of the story, it's always a good idea to call and get clarification or we would have gotten a significant bill in December if I would have cashed the check and looked the other way.
