Brown blood is old blood and isn't usually something to freak out about. It's usually a result of your uterus growing and stretching, making it easier from some leftover stuff to ooze out. (Pregnancy is so sexy.)
I had this and got it checked out. My baby was perfect and healthy. I posted in the symptoms thread all the details of you want to see exactly what happened to me. There are a couple other girls who had spotting/bleeding as well. I'm 7-8 weeks now.
This happened to me at 8w3d. I posted about it in the symptoms thread this week as well. I went to the hospital because my gp told me to because I am a negative blood type. I had blood tests, they checked my cervix and I had an ultrasound and an injection of anti d in case my bodies immune was trying to reject the baby (in case it's a positive blood type). Everything was fine- a bit nerve racking though
I would say mention it and get checked anyway. Just for peace of mind. I had spotting in my last pregnancy ( always brown ). My dr said in some pregnancies it's perfectly normal. Some women even have full periods and a healthy baby. And some miscarry with spotting / discharge. Sadly I was the latter. But he did stay it can be perfectly normal. I always say with any concern better to be that annoying patient and ask 100 questions than miss something important.
I should also add my spotting / discharge started around week 5 and I had it Every day. Every wipe (not enough for a liner though). It lasted for over a month before we miscarried.
I had the same and on Tuesday I went to the ER. The baby was fine and healthy. They saw a heartbeat of 167. It turns out I just had a yeast infection. They treated it and the spotting just stopped today.
