We are freaking out!

I just found out about 9 hours ago that I'm pregnant. Told my husband about an hour ago. This was not planned and we are both freaking out a little bit. I'm slightly excited but mostly scared. And now it's 1am and I can't sleep. Is anyone else dealing with an unplanned pregnancy? How are you and your s/o feeling? BTW I'm 5w1d.

First off, congrats!! It's is unplanned and was very unexpected, I was terrified at first. He is still very stressed but we are both happy, and as each day passes we become more excited about our future. He is stressed about making sure we are ready, I am more afraid because I hadn't mentally prepared myself for the added responsibility and the idea of labor, but everything happens for a reason

First, congratulations! There are several of us who are expecting an unplanned baby, myself included. It took us a few days for the news to sink in, but we are very excited!

There are a couple things I would recommend since you appear to be new to our BMB: First, definitely check out our introduction thread and repost this there-you will likely get many more responses. Second, if you'd like to stick around and get to know us (we're pretty great!) you might want to change your username to something more recognizable. Log in to The Knot (you can only change your username there) and change it, then log out of the bump and back in for the change to take.
