@ladybug2821 I'm so jealous. We just hired 3 new people, despite us only having space for 2 more so 2 guesses where that 3rd person will be sitting? If you guessed the conference room where I pump, you'd be correct!
@kvruns dressing to pump is annoying, especially if you need to share the room. i usually dont care , pull up or take off my blouse . this is where i m pumping right now but at least i have privacy

That's so frustrating! I've dealt with some BS regarding my pumping. I've come very close to calling HR. I have a meeting I attend weekly that falls during my pump time and the manager that holds it was upset that I had to attend late. He's not even my manager but we got into it over the situation. I made it very clear to him Regardless of what he thinks or says, I will be late to ALL of his meetings. Some other things have also happened but if anything else happens I'm picking up the phone.
My options for pumping before I got laid off were either the manager's office with the blinds pulled or the server room. The server room didn't have any windows but there were 5 other people (who regularly worked at that location) besides me that had access to that room. Luckily no one really ever NEEDS to go in there so it wasn't an issue but I usually used the office because I could actually lock the door and no one could walk in on me.
I haven't pumped in weeks and my aunt is watching my kid Saturday morning. I need to get my shit together this week. At least I have some freezer milk.
I signed up for a meal train for the family of the baby that was murdered by her daycare provider. I've never done a meal train before and they have a 4 year old (no allergies) so any suggestions what to make? I ate asparagus out of a can at 4 as a snack so clearly, I don't know what small children eat.
I always do homemade mac and cheese and a salad for meal trains. If I'm ambitious, I try to make some kind of muffin or something for them to have for breakfast/snacks.

Homemade enchiladas is a popular one with our almost 3 year old, as is mac n cheese.
@desoky01 oh no!! Try some play time and some food / milk etc and wait until babe shows signs of being tired again. Probably 11 ish. Then do bedtime routine and go to bed yourself and enjoy what may be some uninterrupted sleep since bedtime is so late?
Update: put him down at 8:30 after some time outside, some food, nursing, and bedtime routine. So far so good! We'll see what tonight brings for motn wake-ups.
I have been thinking that my career is going downhill and i should quit and stay at home but this idea was making me sad deep down. and tonight i got an email saying that i won an international award in a conference. i started to jump in the living room when i read the email. we will travel to a beautiful resort in August to receive my award and present my work. This award reminded me why i got back to work after LO and i am actually excited and eager for my career. I think the committe would not imagine how important this award is in my life
Facebook "your memories"/timehop/whatever it is is killing me right now. Keeps popping up with 1 year ago pictures from Hawaii and now 2 years ago pictures from Mexico. I need a beach vacation stat!!!!
For those with LOs at daycare how often do you have to replenish wipes? It seems like I have to bring them every 5-7 days. I think they use them to wipe his nose and since he's had a continuous cold maybe that is why but it still seems ridiculous. These are 72 count packs I think so 10 wipes per day?!

S doesn't go to daycare but I've been told by friends that they will only wipe once per wipe. So a lot of wastefulness going on.
@kvruns that sounds about right but I'm also convinced they use whatever wipes are closest for all the babies. We went through a wholesale club sized wipes in less than a week. When I questioned it, we didn't get asked for wipes for another like 2 weeks.
I have seen them grab from whatever box too. One teacher said she noticed he goes through a ton and they had some extras somewhere and started using them for him bc they felt bad.
Maybe it is just me but I don't even use a wipe every time so they last forever at home
Hahaha @kvruns that's a total mom of boys move. With A, I'm constantly worried about making sure it's clean so she doesn't get UTIs or yeast infections.

That each have their issues: sure, girls get poop in their lady bits, but boys pee in your and their face. Also, my DS keeps getting bits of diaper plastered around the base of man parts. It's a tough clean.
I have a "what would you do" question to pose concerning ODD: She will be 3 on the 10th and her daycare wants to move her to the pre-k/nursery school room where all the kids are between 4 and 6. At first I thought nothing of it - she already knows the teacher and the kids and most of them have been invited to her birthday party anyway. But then I started wondering if it's a good idea to put my newly 3 yo with such older children. The daycare says she's ready and has all the skills. But then what are they going to do with her for the next 2 years? There isn't another classroom.
What would you guys do: ask them not to move her? Or give it a shot?
@SandNStarsNJ - Personally, I think the social aspect of staying with kids her age is more important than moving her up to be with her cognitive peers. If they really think it's best, maybe compromise to put her with the older kids one or two days a week and keep her with her age the other days.
Seriously, LO's naps have been super long the last two days. He went down at 2:30 and he's still asleep (at 10 to 6). I always feel like I should just let him sleep, but I worry about it affecting his night sleep. He slept fine last night even with his epic and close to bed nap, I just over think. I think I'll be making noise to wake him at 6, but I can never decide!

I'm SUPER jealous of that swing @kvruns!
And WOW, what a space @zoefer... I've found myself in one like that a time or two before.
