Celebrating DSs birthday (a week late) with my in laws at a Phillies game today. God help me for spending an entire day with MIL.... at least my SILs are normal!
I'm still in San Diego so this morning I'm taking a trail to the beach in Torrey Pines. Tomorrow I'm going to the Strawberry Festival in Vista and taking a red eye back to Philly.
@Kathryn0903 That's so awesome the dresser came in earlier than expected!
Got back from San Fransisco late last night. Probably will spend today doing laundry and grocery shopping. Grilling Sunday/Monday if the weather cooperates.
I'll watch DH shoot his bow for an hour or so today and then we'll head to a graduation. Tomorrow and Monday look like house/yard work days which will be nice. And hopefully sometime we can meet up with our landlords to sign a new lease since ours expires wednesday. With the snow, they haven't been able to turn on the sprinklers so everything has been put off. At least they're nice and want us to stay around so they don't care about much.
Sounds like everyone has fun stuff planned. DS spent the night with the in laws last night and we went on a Target run. Stayed up way too late and slept till nearly 10 and then got up and finished organizing the furniture in the nursery. Planning on organizing the closet and dresser. Feeling so much better about everything we have accomplished
I'm going to go swimming at my friend's apartment later today. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a couple of my bikinis still fit. The regular halter one I have though is almost pornographic and will be avoided the rest of the summer.
DH's best friend is a country music artist so we're in Daytona for the weekend for the Daytona Country 500 to see his show and family! Should be fun and hot.
We are in San Marcos, Texas visiting my parents. I love this town! However, it is a college town (Texas state University) and it's a holiday weekend, so it's crowded everywhere. It's also sooooo humid. This is when I feel the most pregnant.
My kids are having fun and we'll go swimming later.
My parents just bought a new house, so I'm spending a lot of time inside helping my mom decorate.
Got some major work done in LOs room. There is officially nothing in there that is not baby stuff. Clothes from newborn to 2T are organized, furniture is in place, and all that's left to do is decorate.
Avoiding tourists. Town will be pretty crowded this weekend so we will stay home as much as we can. I am in charge of the preschool yearbook at DS school so I am trying to finalize as much as I can.
DH and DS went on a big kayak trip this morning and I am a little jealous my life jacket doesn't fit because it would have been fun. But having the house to myself is pretty nice too.
@mrsmatt1212 nice! That's so cool! I'm a big country fan. Brantley Gilbert grew up the next county over from me and a bunch of people I graduated with are friends with him. I graduated with his drummer and every time I see him in a video or on an awards show it's really weird.
@SouthernMama15 yeah it's so fun! DH grew up with Chase, so it was crazy when he started getting big (for country, only country fans know who he is). He co-wrote "Cruise" with Florida Georgia Line, which helped his career for sure. He actually toured with Kenney Chesney last summer which was crazy.
Edit bc it auto corrected to Kenneth Chesney which is weird
AW: The perks of being VIP: we literally just drove on the track of the Daytona International Speedway to get to park by the buses. Im a thankful pregnant woman right now.
@lewliv So jealous! I'd love to get outdoors and hike Torrey Pines! But we are across the country in FL. Hubby is from San Diego and I used to live in SoCal and we miss the simple things like getting outdoors esp for great hikes....and the food!!
Nothing really planned for us except maybe the beach and grabbing Chamorro & Hawaiian food on memorial day or tomorrow (sunday).
You guys have such nice weekends planned. I'm fighting the end of this stupid cold and we're working on our flip house in one of the final efforts to get it on the market soon. I will be so happy when that for sale sign goes up and we can move on!
Together: January 2002 Married: May 2008 Baby: August 2017
Clearly we like to rush along at lightning speed...
To whatever politicians decided it was a good idea to legalize fireworks for personal use in Georgia, you sir/ma'am are assholes. This is the 2nd night in a row. People have children that need to sleep. Is it really necessary to shoot off fireworks for 3 hours a night anytime we're near a holiday?

Fun, pretty chill weekend!
